I love coming here as dog mom. There is always some balls and fresh water. It’s great place for dogs but not all dogs. Please be mindful that dog park is UNPREDICTABLE. In general, it’s safe but some dog owners are so irresponsible bringing their dog with no manners both of the owner and the dog. Please be respectful to each other.

The premiere dog park in all of Chicago, this park is state of the art. It's over 20,000 sq feet, has artificial turf with sprinklers to keep it clean, and has separate large and small dog areas.

Admittedly I have only been to a handful of dog parks, but this park is fantastic. Larger dogs can be segregated from smaller dogs. The owners are quite mindful of their pups waste, and was well maintained in real-time. There were a handful of pleasantries exchanged and even the humans were polite. Definitely worth returning to

Overall this is a great dog park. One of the cleanest in the city. This one has separate areas for small and large dogs which is nice. There is some free parking along the street although it is limited. Most of the parking around here is 6 day paid (free on Sundays).

Great dog park for both small and large dogs. Don't bring your dog here if you don't want them to potentially get wet, there are some fountains that spray water and small doggie pools. There is a pressure plate on ground that when stepped on starts the fountains. However it is a large park and if you wanted to play with your dog away from the fountains, you could go there. Abundance of balls that are left there to play with that aren't slimy and gross. Doggie bags and trashcans available. Always a variety of dogs there to play with, even later at night. Highly recommended. Very well maintained.

This is a large dog park with a side for little dogs and one for big dogs. Lots of dogs were here. Dogs of all kinds of breeds and all were friendly with friendly owners. Great amenities and tennis balls for the dogs to chase. Parking was on the street with meters. This place was well attended and is hilarious to watch the dogs play together. At times the large dog part seemed more like Jurassic park 🙄 😉with all sizes of big dogs 🐕, the little dogs were just as agile and hyper, really cool place.

This dog park provides a big dog and a small dog area to keep dogs safe. They are adjacent, so dogs get to sniff each other through the fence. Plenty of seating areas for the people. The park provides poop bags, drinking water and bowls, toys, a pool and an awesome fountain for dogs to play. Everybody there seems friendly and dogs have all been well behaved. Park is kept clean by the people who visit.

Love this dog park! There are a number of ways to use the park, including separate areas for small and large dogs. Well designed landscaping. Lots of dogs and very friendly people. A great place to let the pooch run around while you make new friends or read on your phone.

Its a slightly bit dirty. Usually there's at least 1 dog for your pup to play with. I like that they separate small dogs and big dogs! There's a fountain but have not seen it on yet!

As a dog owner and south looper, this could be the best addition to the neighborhood. The park is a great size to help tire out your pup with a good game of fetch. The fountain, stream, and ample space for both active and less active dogs is fantastic. The people and dogs are as friendly as you would expect. :) If you live nearby and have a friendly, well-socialized dog and haven’t been here—you are missing out.

Fairly good dog park. But if you have long haired breeds you might get sick of the constant running water. Sprinklers , fountains, water slides … It’s all fun. But it’d be nice to just allow my dog to enjoy the company of other dogs without having to have a groom session every time I go.

Great downtown dog park with seperate small and large dog sections and water streams in the warmer months for the dogs to cool off.

I loved bringing my dog to this park — honestly, I used to think it was the best one in the city. But the new sprinkler system is a huge disappointment. Instead of just having the fountain like before, they’ve added sprinklers that spray all over the walkways and play areas, which means both people and dogs get soaked. Now, half the park doesn’t even get used because it’s constantly being sprayed. And really… what’s the point of spraying water over fake grass? It feels like a design mistake that makes the park less enjoyable for everyone.

I want to love this dog park because it’s got the potential to be great but there’s too many negligent dog owners and it’s dirty. Giardia outbreaks are common and dogs fight with owners nowhere to be found or clueless because they’re too busy looking at their phones. It’s cute when they turn the water on in the summer, but it’s not really worth it. Maybe during off hours when there’s not a lot of people.

Great little space with separate areas for big and small dogs. Astroturf, trash bins, water, and there was even a small pool out to help the doggos beat the heat!

I think this is the best dog park I’ve seen in the city. While others may be cleaner, the separate areas for small and big dogs, consistent running water, new pools, and large green spaces make my poodles ecstatic. Just saying 'park' gets them excited! You can’t say “park” in front of my poodles.

Tons of room for dogs to run and get their zoomies out! Fountains in the summertime, drinking water for dogs (in summer only, bring your own bowl). Area for small dogs and larger area for large dogs but small dogs are allowed in there too.

After my elderly dog passed away this summer, I got a “COVID puppy” like so many others in the city who are working from home. My pup Bentley has energy to spare, and Fred Anderson has been a life saver. We started on the small dog side and eventually moved over to the big dog side as Bentley got bigger. The park itself great—super clean and lots of room to play. There ate rarely any skirmishes between the dogs—almost all of them are very well-behaved. And the other owners are great too and have been wonderful to compare notes with about our puppies. I feel like I’ve made real friends, and Bentley has made 100 million dog and people friends because he is so so so social. I’m moving out of Chicago, and I thank all the dogs and owners for being so open and friendly and fun for Bentley to play with. And thanks to all the dogs for helping him learn the ropes of becoming a happy, healthy adult dog someday soon.

One of the best dog park in Chicago! I believe this is the only park that have separated big and small dogs area. My Pup is very happy!
