Barklands

My favorite dog park in Louisville. Very clean, with places to sit, and shade, and water. They have there areas. All dogs, rest area, and small dogs. Also bathrooms are nearby. You do need to sign up and pay to have access, you can go to any feeders supply to sign up and I believe it cost $35.

Friendly, clean, inviting and easy access! The park is enjoyable for all especially the dogs.There are a few downsides for example one of the fenced off area has a mud puddle by the covered area were the waterer is that gets really bad when it rains. They might think about putting rocks there like they did by the waterer just an observation. All in all great place to have fun with your dog and a walk around the track!

Love all Louisville dog park system. Out of all the parks, this isn't the best. (EP Tom Sawyer by a mile) This one is mostly just an open field with not quite enough seating. The surrounding parks and trails are really nice though.

While I enjoy the park immensely when the dog parents are on top of it, I have had issues with a two year old human child chasing my terrified puppy and a dog-aggressive poodle bullying my puppy. Neither parent seemed to care. I try to go before everyone else arrives because my dog loves to run free, but those individuals are hurting his confidence and making him terrified of children and other dogs. Please follow the rules, and be respectful and responsible people.

This park is by far the best within the Louisville area dog parks I have been to- very clean well maintained- ppl are polite and dogs are generally nice and not aggressive. I would highly recommend this park over the Vettiner dog park.

This is a very well-maintained dog park! A decent amount of green space, but not much shade. The people were very friendly and welcoming. Not many places to sit, if that's important to you, and no baby pools for the dogs to cool down in. But a good dog park, especially if you prefer one that is more manicured and less "wild."

Great space for dogs to run and interact with other dogs. Application and fees are collected through Feeders Supply. Must show proof of rabies and vaccinations each year. Membership runs Jan 1 - Dec 31. Key fobs won't work after the calendar year ends, so renew membership before the end of the year!

Negative 9 stars for this dog park. -2 stars for being an exclusive dog park that requires a $45 paid membership for the 1st dog, $35 for a 2nd dog, $25 for a 3rd dog, $20 for a 4th dog but you can only have 3 dogs per household at a time in the park. -1 star because you have to have a collar on your dog that displays rabies, license and membership tag at all times. But you have to remove all training devices; i.e., collars upon entering park. -3 stars because kids under 10 aren’t allowed (that sounds like discrimination to me). -1 star because you can’t take training treats as no food is allowed -1 star for no smoking/vaping (in an outdoor area) -1 star for having so many rules.

Does the Barklands require a yearly membership? Yes—yes it does. Is membership expensive? No it’s not. Does this ensure that canine visitors with vaxxed and registered? Big yes. Does it guarantee all dogs will always get along? No, never, not in a million years. Should you join? Don’t ask Google, as your doggo!

Excellent dog park - members only. We are passing through but a friend met us there with her dog, so we got to enjoy this wonderful park! A mere $45/year gets them this great dog park with a portapotty for humans too. Restrooms 1 portapotty Dog-friendliness Well, it IS a dog park.... 0:09

I love the barklands. It's well kept thanks to rotating fields and there is almost always someone there for your dog to play with. I only have two complaints. First, there could be more seating in the shade (or just more shade in general). Second, there are quite a few honey bees, they aren't aggressive but it might be a good idea to bring your epi-pens in case you accidentally step on one.

A great place for the dog. Don't forget, you need to purchase a key fob and dog tag for your pup before entering here. The grounds are taken care of and they rotate the areas every few months to avoid mud and allow the grass to rest. There is also a small dog section for those 30 pounds and under. Owners are typically vigilant of their dogs. I would recommend!

We are not member and we're just passing through town. A kind lady stay with us and let our dogs play together. Beautiful park and large as far field size. Dog-friendliness Their were only two dogs here when we arrived and our two. All 4 got along famously

Always a fun filled day for my pup Jackson. It's great for the adults also, I've met several very nice people and great conversations. Beautiful views and more than adequate space for the dogs to run and play.

This park is not friendly if you don't have memberships. It does not state membership required when you look up and get directions. We are from out of town. My pup was bummed.

Really love it here. I've noticed some issues, though. The gate lock has been broken for awhile, and the small dog yard has a large wet, muddy area in the shade that needs tending and some cleaning around the seating area. The mixed dog yard looked perfect, and I don't know about the large dog yard.

Well maintained park with a lot of space. Tons of paved paths and sports worthy fields. The splash park is great for young kids (or adventurous adults). The dog, off leash area is nice but not large and no walking path. Triple the size for dog owners and it would be perfect.

Love this dog park. You'll need a fob that's $40 a year, but you get access to several other Louisville dog parks. Big, open environments with water bowls, minimal shade for hot months, always dog bags, small pool tub for dogs. 0:09

We’ve been bringing Kane and Daisy here for years. Well maintained and a great community of dog owners. Go get your dog park fob at feeders supple so you can come hang out!

Available water and waist bags!!! Seating and plenty of room to play. Also a separate area for small dogs to play.
