We LOVE Barks & Rec!! My dog is always overjoyed to go to daycare and the staff are all amazing :) They’re great at making accommodations for my dog’s different needs and have been easy to coordinate with for scheduling. I just know he has an awesome time every time he’s there and now my camera roll is full of the cutest pictures of him living his best life. Can’t recommend this place enough! Our dog Maui had been going to the old North Loop location since he was a puppy, and always had the most amazing time during daycare and boarding. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, we are never worried sending Maui to Barks & Rec! Now that their new location has opened, Maui cannot get enough of the outdoor play areas, especially the pools! It is an amazing new space that we are so happy opened up. My pup absolutely LOVES visiting here for day care! He comes home so happy and tired from the day. I get multiple check-in's and I'm never worried about him through the day. I made the mistake of boarding my puppy at a regular boarder when she was younger. She came back to me filthy and full of energy because she’d been neglected overnight. I found Barks & Rec and will never take her elsewhere for an overnight stay. She gets so excited to go here for daycare or night visits. I love the staff and the photos they send of my dog playing with other dogs. Barks and Rec North Loop is a blessing to my dog Daryl. The owners, staff and outdoor play environments are top notch. Daryl loves his play days with the Barks and Rec team and his doggie pals. Daryl loves to chase and catch balls which is encouraged and supported by Barks and Rec. Daryl can be exhausting in his relentless pursuit to play fetch but the Barks and Rec team embraces his love for balls. We have been bringing our shy older dog Maisy here for a couple of years now and I cannot say enough good things! We previously used another very popular daycare in the same area and it was always so busy that our dog came back stressed out of her mind. Barks and Rec don’t overcrowd the facility and the staff are SO wonderful at making sure our dog gets a break when she needs it! We absolutely love Leigh and the rest of the B&R team. Any dog owner will understand how nice it is being able to relax knowing their pup is in good hands. Would definitely recommend to anybody considering! Our dog loves her time at Barks & Rec. She is cared for and is excited every time we walk over to drop her off. We feel safe and happy to leave her at boarding when we have to travel for work. Axel Rose is a regular at Barks and Rec. I can’t say enough things about his experience here. It has shaped him into being a very well socialized adult dog as he has attending since he was 6 months old. They send daily photo updates which make me smile throughout the work day. They also board if needed and he has also had great times at the Lakeville Kennels. Leigh, Star and the entire team there treats Axel like family. He loves his friends and play time. The new location is fantastic! There is so much space and my boys loved being there. The same caring staff that ensure the pups are well taken care of and tired by the time they get home. 10/10 and 100% recommend. Best place for your pups! The new North Loop space is amazing, huge outdoor and indoor play areas, our pups have the best time. These guys take such great care of our fur babies. We send them for daycare and leave them for slumber parties when we are out of town. Cannot say enough great things about Barks & Rec! Yuca loves going to Barks and Rec for a fun day with furry friends! The staff members are very nice and it's is clear that the dogs love them. There is a great outdoor area as well as large indoor pens that allow the dogs to keep playing even if the weather is not pleasant. They always send texts, pictures and videos of Yuca every time she goes there. I strongly recommend this place! Absolutely love Barks & Rec and so does my pup Frannie. They are so accommodating and sends updates throughout the day. Frannie loves coming here and playing with all her doggy friends and the staff. This place is WONDERFUL. I've been bringing my puppy to daycare and he absolutely loves it - comes home exhausted from a day of socializing and playing. They feed the snacks/meal I bring along and they provide quiet time to help them recharge. Great communication from all of the lovely staff, too. Love seeing pictures of my boy with a big smile on his face while I'm working! Clean and HUGE facility. I highly recommend it! We dropped our dog off for a few hours since we had a late Sunday wedding and had to drive back to Madison - this was our first time having our dog at daycare, so we were pretty nervous. We called them after we dropped our dog off to see how she was doing and the staff were really patient and understanding about our concern but reassured is that she was starting to open up and getting more comfortable. Our dog Norm loves Barks & Rec - especially the new location by the Mpls Farmers Market because he loves the pools and space. For the last 4 months he has been going about twice a day and we are going to try boarding over the 4th. Barks & Rec is a life saver! We send our two dogs every week for daycare, and use them for boarding whenever we are out of town. They really get to know the dogs personally, and cater to their unique needs. Our dogs cannot wait to run through the door, and particularly love the owners Kirk & Leigh. I never have to worry about the level of care given to my dogs, and I am so thankful to have Barks & Rec for dog care! We love Barks + Rec (FKA Furball Fitness) but Brazo loves it more! We've tried a few doggy daycares in the metro but B+R is hands down our favorite and the one we now use almost exclusively. Brazo loves the staff and pulls at his leash each drop-off, eager to see everyone. I was passing through town and I needed a place to keep my dog Bill. This new location is awesome! He had such a great time and the team at Barks and Rec were incredible. I loved the photo updates I got and I was not worried at all with leaving my pup in a new place. Highly recommend the new location! The one difficult part was parking while the Twins game was going on. However, they told me they will work on a “pick up” option so you don’t have to park to pick up your dog. Great staff, awesome facilities.
