I've been bringing my dogs to this park for years. Very large spacious area surrounded by woods and a ball field. A single area for both large and small dogs that is a combination of mulch and grass. It is well maintained. They have poop bags but BYO water. Friendly dogs and friendly people. With a water source it would be 5 stars.

I love this park! I've been coming for years, and it feels like another home. The people are wonderful and welcoming. For the most part, the dogs are great. Just need to keep an eye on yours and follow the rules.

Great dog park, but when I arrived on Saturday morning on April 19th 2025 it was closed- there seems to be tree clearing going on and possible construction of some sort. I asked some neighbors walking their dogs in the area they thought it might open again, they didn’t know for sure but suggested that it might be closed for several weeks.

One of the larger dog parks in the area. Plenty of space for the dogs to all do their own thing if that's what they prefer. Haven't run into any unfriendly people. My only issue is how muddy it gets right after the rain, and I think the path into the lot is only maintained during baseball season for the little league teams in the adjacent field. So sometimes the road can be brutal on the car.

Love this dog park! It is a huge park with lots of space to play in. I also love that I can reach it from the bike path. I always take a bottle or a gallon of water with me to refill the buckets for the pups. Theres a couple of chairs and benches for humans to sit on, but I usually stand close to my dog when I'm there. I will definitely be visiting this place often.

This is a great place for dogs and their humans. People are very friendly. And dogs were too. This was my first visit with my 11 month old cockerpoo. He was very timid and shy for sometime. There were about 15 dogs there and Harry was kind of overwhelmed. After about 20 minutes he started to warm up to the friendly dogs and started to play with a few. This was a great experience for him and we didn't have a problem with any of the dogs. Will try to make this a regular stop. Great place.

Sadly this place has gone downhill very quickly. Every time for the past 9 months, no matter the weather conditions, the dog park is extremely muddy and I mean extreme! I get that it's a dog park. I also get that the chance of it all green grass is slim to none, but it did start off this way. This is much worse than surrounding parks. It's really too bad but I may have to stop coming here and go elsewhere. It has so much potential, what a shame! The perfect green grass pics you see displayed here are extremely misleading.

My dog loves it here. They've made, and keep making, many improvements so no drainage or piddling issues and will regularly fill in any big holes the dogs may dig up.

This is a very nice park. It's located around the outfield of the softball field. Mulched entrance where the grass has died out, but decent grass elsewhere in the space. Entrances and exits from the fields side and the woods/trails side of the park. No water and trash bins are ONLY for poop. Only one section, no division by size. People and dogs were friendly and welcoming. Very limited permanent seating, so bring a chair if you want to sit. Parking lot had a portapotty.

Barrington Dog Park in Rhode Island is a great spot for dog owners. It’s tucked away in a quiet, wooded area, giving it a peaceful vibe that both dogs and their owners will appreciate. The park has a good amount of space, with separate areas for small and large dogs, which is nice for keeping things safe and fun. The open areas are perfect for letting your dog run around and socialize. The park is generally well-maintained. You’ll find trash bins and waste bags, so it stays pretty clean. It’s a simple setup, but it gets the job done. There are benches for sitting, and some shade from the trees, but remember to bring water for your dog since there’s no water fountain. The community here is really friendly. Regulars make it a nice place to meet other dog owners and set up playdates. Parking is also easy, with plenty of spots close to the entrance. Overall, Barrington Dog Park is a great choice if you’re looking for a safe, clean place for your dog to play. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s got a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere that makes it a favorite with the locals. Restrooms There's only one porta potty around the dog park area, which is a bit of a downside when it's busy during the day.

First time there and it was a great experience. All dog owners where monitoring thier dogs and cleaning up after them. My dog loved being there and can't wait to bring him back.

I go to this dog park often. I would like to see both a large and small dog run, as of now there is only one large dog area. Also I would like to see the road to the parking area paved (this would be beneficial to all) many potholes to dodge. For the most part the dog families that visit are kind and happy.

I love this dog park. The people are really nice. They're responsible dog owners and most of them are a pleasure to talk to. The dogs are adorable and well behaved.

This is a well maintained dog park that often has several dogs there to play with my pup. It's location next to the bike path makes for an extended walk opportunity after romping with four-legged friends.

The wood chips have made a great improvement to this already awesome dog park. With wood chips covering most of the surface it means you can even go after it’s been wet.

Big open area. Usually a great group. The owners very rarely fit the stereotype of being "Barrington." I understand that might not appear P.C. at first blush, but I'm saying so because I have heard a lot of sad stories of friends having numerous poor experiences with breed-discrimination in the past. It's our experience that those individuals are, thankfully, no longer visiting the park. In almost all the visits we've made there it has been nothing but a great experience both human and dog. It's usually well-behaved owners and well-socialized dogs who communicate well and behave appropriately. Definitely recommended location for dogs that have a minimum of some socialization experience, for the fact that there are usually other dogs unlike other local parks which tend to be empty. The "Hunts Mill" dog park, for example, would be better for first timers/more timid dogs to start and then transition to the "Haines" dog park. Just my two-cents. Dog-friendliness While it does have a baseball field and recreational acreage, it is predominantly a location centered around it's dog park.

Nice big area to run around in. Buckets for water along the fence. Plenty of friendly dogs and owners. Docked one star because the park at Slater Park has ramps and tunnels to play on, but this one doesn't.

I've been bringing my dog here for the past 2 years and we've always had good times and good relationships with all the dogs and their owners. Lately we've been getting nothing but delusional owners who deny their dog's behavior but react when their dogs instigate. I truly believe it's because my dog is half pit these people should be reeducated and pay more attention to their own dog's behavior before judging and treating my dog like a nuisance. I had one gentleman threatened to pull a gun on my daughter and another one scream at her they don't do it to me when I'm there though. there are some excellent videos by Cesar millan on controlling anxiety and controlling instigating dogs so that you get along well and a dog park.
