Good walk, close to bus stop or can bike up! Can see Golden Gate Bridge on a clear day!

Bernal Heights is such a peaceful spot with one of the best panoramic views of San Francisco. It feels a bit more off the beaten path than Twin Peaks, and that’s part of the charm — fewer crowds, more calm. The view from the top is amazing: downtown, the bay, the bridges, and on a clear day, even out to the ocean. It’s also a great place to just sit and take in the city from above. It can get a little windy, so a jacket is a good idea, but overall it’s a quiet, beautiful escape right in the city. A hidden gem for sure. 0:09

Beautiful day to hike at Bernal Heights Park. Never disappoints on days like today. There are many trails to chose from and get of of the beat views of San Francisco skyline, bay and Peninsula. Great spot to jog, hike or walk you pet or just take in the view or have a picnic. It's closed to traffic around the mountain so very safe for all to enjoy. Dog-friendliness Very pet friendly.

Bernal Heights Park is a wonderful place for walking, hiking or running. Nearly all parts of San Francisco and the bay are visible from the peak. Right now wild blackberries are on the vines, and they are so sweet. Benches and railings provide a welcome place to catch your breath, as some trails are quite steep. Walk the paved road for an easier ascent, which is not open to traffic. Find it at the top of Folsom Street and turn right. The road to the left is for autos. You will find some trails steep and rocky. At the top enjoy the views from a swing hanging from a large shady tree branch. Restrooms Not that I know of.

Well maintained park with stunning, panoramic views of the city. Definitely a must-visit for tourists and locals alike. Dog friendly, with a plethora of spots to set up shop to read, picnic, or just take in the view. Note that the main view of the city does require some uphill walking - not fully accessible by car. This park is truly a gem, offering breathtaking panoramic views of San Francisco. I was fortunate enough to catch a silent disco event during my visit, which added to the overall experience. Furthermore, the park's terrain lends itself perfectly to an invigorating uphill hike, and the surrounding area is replete with outstanding restaurants to explore afterwards. 0:29

So the park itself is a ok park, great place to walk your dog(s) - tho if your dog is medium to small it would be best to keep them on a leash as coyotes are known to frequent the park. What is the best thing about this park is it’s outstanding views of San Francisco as you walk along the road to reach the top of the hill. It is very dog friendly but light on trees compared to near by McLearn Park or Golden Gate Park - still on a clear day the views are outstanding and it is a very easy walk to the top of the hill.

I don’t get why this park isn’t talked about more. You get an amazing view not just Downtown San Francisco, but the entire Bay Area. There’s also a fun swing to try out. We brought our pupusas, sisigsilog, and blackberries from Alemany Farmers Market up to the benches to enjoy. Playground No playground Restrooms No restrooms

I visited Bernal Heights over the weekend and absolutely loved it! The neighborhood has a relaxed, welcoming vibe and feels like a peaceful escape within the city. The real highlight was Bernal Heights Park — the views from the top are incredible, offering a panoramic look at San Francisco and from downtown to the Bay. The walk up was steep but totally worth it. There were lots of friendly locals out walking dogs, jogging, or just enjoying the sunshine. It’s a gem of a neighborhood with a great mix of nature and local charm. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in SF and want to experience something a little more low-key but still beautiful and full of character.
