It’s a great place to bring your dog. Open spaces. Near the water.

Nice sized dog park/run in Lawrenceville. Right on the river walk so during the warmer weather the view will be beautiful. There are trees on the outside of the fence to provide shade and the fence itself is in great condition and about 5 feet tall. There's a separate fenced-in area for large dogs if needed and there was fresh hay laid throughout both runs to try to keep the mud to a minimum.

Our favorite dog park in the city. Considerate/polite people, and the dogs all are well-behaved every time we've been there. Great community park.

Discreet little off-leash dog park divided into a gated section for littler dogs and a larger gated section for the rest to run, wrestle and chase down log watered, muddy tennis balls. There's a huge water barrel with bowls to keep em hydrated, a first aid kit for any mishaps. The people are friendly and everyone seems to do their part to keep the place tidy and we'll maintained. The parcel is just behind railroad tracks along a walk/run/ride trail and the most obvious place to park is unfortunately private property, although I've never seen/heard of anyone being bothered, much less ticketed. It's also not clearly marked from "the road," so it was a bit hard to find when I first went -- follow 38th Street all the way to the end, cross the railroad tracks and you'll see it on the right!

Nice fenced place for the pups to run and socialize with each other. The area is a rectangular space between the river and the railroad, the entrance is a little tricky to find. We parked directly next to where the dog park is on Google map, crossed the railroad and walked through dirt road to get to the gate. But this is actually the shortcut, and I assume you should access it from the trail next to it, but the trailhead would be under the bridge on 40 or 43 street so it would be a short hike. The trail by the dog park is nice, sunset view is amazing.

I like this dog park. There is a small dog side and a big dog side. It's wooded, and shaded in parts. Right along the trail. It has water, too. The only negative I can say is I didn't see bags to clean up with. So, bring your own.

It might not be the biggest dog park in town or the best dog park in town, but it's well cared for and really convenient. Google Maps took me the wrong direction so it's best to park under the 40th St. bridge and walk along the trail. The run is all cedar chips so it is not muddy after rain. That is a definite advantage over some other dog parks.

Great dog park! Difficult to get to but significantly better than other parks within city limits.

Plenty of room for dogs to run. Google directions got me close but not to the parking lot. Dog-friendliness It is a dog park, of course it is dog friendly.

The area around the dog park is a little sketchy, but the dog park itself is really nice. It's really long so there is plenty of room to play fetch and the other owners are usually very attentive of making sure their dogs are playing nice.

The dog park is on a trail just off 40th street. If coming from the bridge, make an immediate left right off the bridge then another immediate left and you'll come eventually to a lot. The trail to the left leads to it. There are two fenced areas, one for smaller dogs and one for larger. Always friendly people and lots of dogs to play with, and they put down mulch or wood chips to help with the mud.

A fun little park that is easy to get to via the river trail, or if you drive and park. Located under the shadow of the 40th St Bridge. You'll want to exit of the bridge and head under the bridge to the parking located at the river's edge under the bridge. It is easy to find. Then walk down the river and you won't miss the park. 2 sections make it easy to visit the other if you need some space. Always be respectful of everyone and their dogs when entering--some extra space is always appreciated. Also watch your dog and others around toys/balls. There are not usually are not balls lying around there, but sometimes people bring them and they can bring out the herding/guarding mentality for some dogs. Know your dog in advance. Always have fun and get that dog nice and tired! :)

Love it here! Been bringing our pup the last 3 months or so once or twice a week. Having the barrel with water is a nice touch so the dogs don't get thirsty. there is a ton of room to run and especially play fetch if your dog is into it. It is all woodchips and dirt so they can get a little dirty but it's not a big deal. Most of the dogs in the big dog section are nice, and we haven't ever really had problems

The large portion of the dog park has a maintenance gate which is left unlocked. You will see a lot of dog owners use that gate rather than the double gated entry in the center of the park, so you always need to be wary of dogs escaping. It's not ideal and the people charged with maintaining the park show no interest in correcting the problem beyond acknowledging that it should be locked.

A great off lease dog run with friendly owners! There are both a small and large dog areas with nice walking trails in the area.

Great dog park in Lawrenceville. Owners are knowledgeable and aware of their dogs almost always. It does get pretty busy from 5-7 so avoid those hours if your pup gets nervous around a lot of dogs.

Nice location and setup for a dog run, with two separate sections. Can be extremely muddy so dress accordingly. Most owners and dogs are fine but there are a couple bad apples. Last time there was a fellow with a large Doberman who was biting the necks of any dogs who entered, and laughed it off as "that's just how they play".

Great community vibe. Good size to both the little and large sections, never too crowded and the regulars are wonderful people with wonderful dogs. Occasional dog scuffles, but not any more than other Pittsburgh locations.

Always clean and a great place for dogs who live in houses where there’s not much space to run. I have a greyhound and Italian greyhound who really appreciate getting to stretch their legs here! Wonderful place :)

Great place for a dog. Large enough for running space. Small and big dog areas. Parking under the 40th St bridge. Plenty of seats for owners to monitor their dogs. No water supply, bring your own fluids.
