We brought our dogs here more than a few times in the last decade. Its a nice and well kept place to give your dogs some happiness. The lake makes a nice swimming place for dogs to enjoy in the summer, and the small dog playground is a plus. Dog-friendliness ++

This was our first time out to bow wow beach with both of our dogs our younger dog loves the water. And we thought that she would like it out there and our older one typically doesn't, but by the end of the day the little 1 had actually waited out for a little more. Our family thought it sounded like a nice place to try for dogs. This was such a fun place to take the dogs. They had a blast running in the sand and swimming in the pond. There were so many dogs running around and playing with each other. There are tennis balls on the beach or in the water that you can use throw to your dog or any other dog. You are able to walk around the pond with your dog or your dog can run, while you take a stroll around the pond. They have fenced in area for the smaller dogs to go in, so that they don't get run over by the larger dogs. On the other side of the pond is an agility area that has 3 or 4 things for the dogs to walk on, jump through or walk through. The kids had an amazing time watching the dogs and throwing balls for all the dogs. There is a place that you can rinse your dog off before you leave the park. No one is allowed in the pond except for dogs. They do have sings stating this.

I have taken my pups here several times. The conditions and amenities are nice for what it is. I do like the wash station! You can't control awful pet owners though. My dog was attacked on one occasion and unfortunately, I never went back.

Bow wow Beach is just as it is described. A lake with room around it for dogs to run and play. This was our first visit, and it came the day after a rain. That was probably ill-advised, because it made the park smell very much like a dog park. I'm sure it would not be that way on a dry day. There was plenty of parking, and it's part of a larger park with other amenities. There's also an unusually large small dog park attached. It does not have lake access, but it is very big, grassy and lovely compared to most of the postage stamps UC for smaller dogs. The folks we talked to were very nice, and there were plenty of places along the way to sit down in the shade. You do have to remember, that if you take your dog here, you will need to give it a bath afterwards. You might also want to bring a towel and your own water, in the vain attempt to keep your dog from drinking from the lake. My dog did not go into the lake all that much, but everything is muddy. The proof is in the pudding though, and my dog had an absolutely wonderful time. She ran and played and just had a lovely adventure. She's the pretty beagle in the pics. I think we'll go back, although it is a bit of a hike for us. But on a nice day when you want a drive, this is definitely a good destination.

Local realtor and dog dad …. He loves the water so this was so much fun for him ! Bow wow beach has a separate space for small dogs if they don’t want to be near water or other dogs. There’s poop bag stations everywhere and shade with seating all over. Great place to take your pup! 0:30

This place is amazing! Not to big & not to small. Plenty of dogs for mine to play with, good combo of sand, grass, concrete, sun, & shady areas for humans and dogs alike. They also have a rinse off areas so you can rinse your dog off. I highly recommend this dog park. Also, there is a dedicated area for small dogs if you want.

This place was AWESOME. So much room to run and also the lake! And the best part was it was all fenced in !! And there were benches and tables for us humans. 0:02 0:10

Trully, this is THE BEST dog park I have ever seen! It is a well organized place, lots of dog-pals to play with, and a separately fenced small dog area. Dog owners there are very friendly, understanding, and resourceful! We got lots of tips and advice there! And the greatest bonus - it is a huge pond with a beautiful sandy beach and a reed maze! And a lot of tennis balls around to play with! Playground Dogs' playground/sport area is available right there. Kids' playground is right outside of the actual dog park. Restrooms Portapotty x2 outside of the fenced area, next to the entrance. One of them is handicapped-accessible. Dog-friendliness To the max!!! Picnic area Multiple picnic areas are available outside of the actual dog park.

My dogs had the time of their lives here. The owners were all friendly, all the dogs we came into contact with were pleasant. It was an overall REALLY great time for everyone!!!

Heaven on earth for dogs and their people!! Worth the drive wherever you are. Be sure to bring water and a bowl. Bring a couple towels to clean up before getting back in the car. I love it, and so do my dogs. Super safe to allow them run on their own. Only issue is my dogs are big and although there is an area for small dogs people still bring them to the wrong side, my dogs are playful and will stomp on these little guys, so this worries me a little.

We love to go here on bath day ! My pup loves to run the sandy beach and play in the water while enjoying a game or tag.

This dog park is for the most part great. My pup loves it but the reason for the 3 stars ? Huge piles of dog poo from terrible owners who refuse to pick up after their dog. Not to mention the amount of people who bring their reactive dogs in and simply refuse to keep an eye on them. Almost every single time I've been I've watched the exact scenario and the owner always blames the other dogs who have already been playing for hours with no problems. I hope some of you bad people see this review and think over your actions but more than likely you won't. That's why I can only recommend this park when it has fewer than 6 dogs in it.

Great park with good people! Everyone is respectful and keeps their dogs well behaved. The grounds are well kept and there is a separate area for smaller pups. It’s one of our favorite parks and we come once a week! Dog-friendliness Within the dog park fence your dog can run free and have fun in or out of the pond!

Wonderful park that has simply gone to the dogs! Literally! This park has something for every dog. The lake water is treated... but is not safe for human... of course. There are plenty of signs letting you know in case the obvious was not good enough. There is plenty of shade and there are separate areas for small and large dogs. But the small dog area does not have dedicated lake access. There is an obstacle course and plenty of room for dogs to roam. There are port a potties available for humans😀. As well as several benches available. Small children are not allowed inside the fence for safety reasons. But unfortunately that is not always followed. It is also against the rules to bring and food inside... both for dogs and humans. But again... not always followed. The park used to be a swim lake... but that was a very long time ago. The buildings are still there from that time... but they are planned to be torn down. There is an area to wash your dogs as you exit. Bring towels for the ride home!
