A wonderful place for gatherings, biking, fishing and meditation

I was initially skeptical about the decision to install artificial turf but now that I've been taking my dog there for a few months I definitely think it was the correct choice for this dog park. The city has created a really nice space that is safer for my dog and a lot cleaner than it was before the changes.

This is the first time we visited since it was re done. The turf is very clean! No mud! There are picnic tables and trees. The dogs and people at the park were nice and friendly! There is quite a large cement pad - not sure why it's as large as it is. But we enjoyed our visit, and we'll be bringing our 2 puppies back for more exercise!

Fun dog park with plenty of space to run and play on the "grass", some sandy/rocky area, and even a concrete area with tables for sitting as your dogs play. The only possible downside would be the train tracks directly next to it. A number of the dogs were scared when the train came through of course, but that happens so infrequently and isn't more traumatizing or jarring than other loud city sounds. Our pup loves this park and is already becoming a regular!

I've just started going there this year. I like the location and parking could be a pain, but you have a dog so walking to me isn't an issue. It's always open and it's mostly artificial turf which is good for rainy days but they also have an area with a couple trees and gravel. It's small compared to most parks but your dog will get a good run in...even with a lot of smaller dogs. One thing I can say is that mostly everyone knows how to deal with their dogs and don't freak out because your dog is bigger than theirs. Dog-friendliness I've only encountered a couple of rowdy dogs and their owners removed them. I take my two Siberians there and I'm not worried although one is a pup because they're really good at protecting themselves or the little one runs to me.

Smaller inner city park, 20.00 annual permit required. ASTRO turf reduces mud and worn grass. T shaded by trees and still has areas with natural earth. Always a great variety of friendly people and pet's to socialize you and you pet. Enjoy! Dog-friendliness Smaller inner city park, 20.00 annual permit required. ASTRO turf reduces mud and worn grass. Visited briefly this am after walking several blocks...to find sign of $8.00 a day use charge. What's up with that..and go online to pay, scan code, etc etc etc...I am 86 living nearby for a couple months. REALLY!!! Appears very nice...astro turf...bags available...clean..no body there. HMMMM i wonder why.. $8.00/day...shouldn't property or real estate tax..on dog owner license fees pay for upkeep...really charge $8/day...online???don't know how.

Great park considering its size. Some good regulars with minimal instances of conflict. Good for post rainy days since it’s turf.

Great park for beginner dog owners up to expert dog owners! Park is small enough to keep a close eye while still giving your pups enough space to roam and play. Bags on site, always stocked. Usually a ball or two laying around & folks bring their owns that get shared commonly. Owners get to know each other here and I’ve even met up with folks for pup play dates! There’s a lamp so it’s lit up at night, big plus. Couple tables to sit at and you get to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake! One of my favorite smaller parks in Madison

Love how close this is to home. And the astroturf nears it's one of the cleanest dog parks ever. Dog-friendliness Only the occasional inattentive owner who doesn't monitor their dogs play.
