First time hearing of this park. Very nice area. However, We didn't have asset to the bathroom which was a problem. The park very clean and I will return.

Really enjoy the park. Lots of open space, good playground, nice big trees. Weird overgrown dog park.

As a park, it is very nice. It has a nice paved area for walking or bike riding. There is a big open field for playing football or baseball. Nice play area for the kids. Overall it is clean. The downsides are a lack of restrooms and a water fountain. I walk through the park every day and sometimes at night and have always felt safe. It is dog friendly but there is an occasional off-leash dog which is very frustrating. There is a new dog park here but I would not recommend that at all. The gates and lock pads are constantly broken so there are unaltered dogs with unknown vaccinations. I used to go there but won't anymore. I have a small dog and the last two times I went to go there, there were unaltered full size dogs (Rottweiler, pit bulls, Dobermans) in the small dog area. Playground There is a nice playground and play area for the kids. Restrooms There are no restrooms. Dog-friendliness Dog friendly and dog park.

I like to use the playground when I am watching children. It is nice to have an open green space so close and in the city. The only bad part is that in the summer, when kids are out of school, there are a lot of rowdy teens who hang out on the swings and equipment. They smoke weed back there and are very disruptive, especially when you are trying to show a young child a good time. It's inappropriate. Besides that, I have met a lot of very nice parents and neighbors. Despite the teens, I enjoy that park immensely!

Nice park! Beautiful playground that looks new. You'll need to park on the street.

I take more puppy here when it's nice in the evening. I really like this dog park because there are three sections for different sized dogs so you can feel safe that your pup is not around dogs that are much larger than yours. It's relatively well kept and the community is respective to keep it clean. There are locks on the gate that you need to get the pin for by signing up to their community page but it wasn't too difficult.

It's a lovely, quite sizable city park not far from my home. There are fields for baseball and soccer (I believe) set among towering old oak trees. Two tennis courts look to be in good shape and the new kid's playground is VERY well done with the squishy rubber flooring, etc. There's absolutely no place to park, that I can tell (I walk there with the dog.) I've rarely, if ever, come across riff-raff hanging about, which is a HUGE plus! There was talk of a fenced dog park being built and there was a crowdfunding effort for that, but the outcome? Well, no dog park, yet. That would be a great addition. BTW: Local runners: the old-fashioned water fountain works in-season.

This park is really chill and quiet. Everyone I've ever encountered here has been super friendly and my kids love playing at the playground. They also have a tennis court and I usually get crabs sit in the grass while my kids play. Playground They have swings slides it's good Dog-friendliness Very dog friendly they've made half of this park into a dog park and it turned out very nice even though I don't have a dog

The process to get a pass to the dog park is a lot. I’m posting this to help others after seeing the questions about the park here, on Yelp and from my neighbors. Hopefully this helps! ****This information is not on the Parks and Rec site but apparently you can sign up at the Hamilton Branch library in person which might be easier for some people.*** There is little to no info about this park on the City website. The online form on the City’s rec ticket site is very repetitive and strange—you have to list a ton of info in one line about each dogs’ health/license then attach the dog license and rabies certifications which has the same exact info. The licenses and rabies certification for multiple dogs have to be on one page (one page for all rabies, one for all licenses) which might require you to have a printer and/or scanner depending on your vet’s record style. Most info about the dog park is bizarrely only on the “about” section of the Facebook page for the park which is run by a very unhelpful and unpleasant to deal with person. Alternative ways to get the password is not on the city parks rec site, the online form or any city government site that I can find and the person running the Facebook page doesn’t seem to think it should be. They were very argumentative when I said the online process was oddly difficult and suggested simple ways to make the park registration easier and more inclusive such has having a link to the paper form and instructions about the library option on the city website. Right now it looks like if you can’t upload documents, you can’t get access to the park and apparently that is not true. Facebook should not be the only way to get info about a free, public city park. Honestly, after communicating with the person running the park’s Facebook page, I’m second guessing going back. The screenshots I could share are wild. The park is very large and there are virtually never any dogs in it, possibly because of how strange and complicated the sign up process is.

Quiet, clean, tucked away little park (diagonally across from an elementary school) with swings and a playground for children 10 and under. Mature trees provide some shade. Benches and space to play baseball. Located near Northern Parkway on Walther Avenue.
