Beautiful park to visit. It has a lake with paddle boats. I went to a food truck event and had a great lunch in the park. Mobile Soul Sunday.

William Byrd walking track. I love this track. The only downside is that it's not measured correctly. At the mile marker it's not correct, you actually have to walk longer than the marker point to reach a mile. Other than that, it's my favorite track to walk. Playground There isn't a playground Restrooms There are no restrooms Dog-friendliness Dogs are not allowed on the track

Park was fun. It was pretty, lots of ducks. Good walking spaces. Grandkids wanted to fish but there was a huge amount of green junk in water that prohibited a good experience in that department. Still a beautiful day!

Beautiful park with multiple ponds with geese, swans and ducks. Great place to walk dogs and take photos.

This is a lovely park; I love the pond and the circular sidewalk around it. It is great that you can sit in your vehicle and watch the water, nature, and people. I only have one quam, its the goose droppings on the sidewalk. You damn near have to walk in the street to avoid the land mines. Richmond needs to have Parks and Rec. hose the sidewalk down periodically to keep it walkable. Playground None Restrooms I can only judge the male restroom. I was clean and, what you rarely get, wait for it.....hot water to wash your hands. I didn't like the fact that the door stays open and it's two feet from the urinal, wouldn't take much movement to catch an exposure charge. Dog-friendliness There is plenty of room for Rover to romp around. They need some doggy poop bag dispensers about the area Picnic area They have tables but it appears the birds have taken control. It is best you spread a blanket on the grass.

Great park to walk, run, or bike around. Three different lakes and a vita course trail all within a couple miles radius. Just beside maymont park and sometimes paddleboats are available for rent. Ample benches and garbage cans. Lots of goose poop. Easily accessible from nickel Bridge, Arthur Ashe Boulevard, and downtown expressway.

A Richmond Va. favorite please come visit if you're in town. This park has an area called the Japanese Garden and it is an awesome place to behold. An exercise track one mile long and a zoo next to it. Buffalo yes real live Buffalos, bears, eagles, a perverbial wonderland, family friendly, or just a nice place for a romantic stroll.Perhaps you want a little solitude you can have it all here. Enjoy Playground A play area for the tots right beside Dogwood Dell area where concerts, plays, and various entertainment venues are held at the park. Dog-friendliness Has a dog park! Picnic area Comfortable tables and shelters.

It's a beautiful park with several beautiful, scenic areas that are great for walking or maybe a picnic. The VITA trail is one mile and has different fitness stations along the way. It is a scenic trail with even terrain. I enjoy taking my son out on the trail in his stroller. Also what's nice about the park is it is surrounded by some beautiful lakes. Fountain Lake is very pretty. It is a half mile around and has benches all along the perimeter in case you just want to sit and take in the scenery. Also, Fountain Lake is the only spot in the area that I have found that has a building with restrooms. Swan Lake is stunning, but the sidewalk does tend to be dirty on account of the birds. Definitely worth visiting though. Swan Lake is serene. Byrd Park also has other neat areas to visit, such as the Virginia War Memorial and the Dogwood Dell Amphitheater (which I believe hosts concerts during the summer). Overall, I am a huge fan of Byrd Park. It is family friendly, great for walks, playing, or just sitting and taking in the beautiful scenery!

Park seems pretty nice. I came to start to longboard here and realized that the trail is all crushed gravel. There’s a nice set of gym stations around the park, I didn’t try them so can’t really know if they work. Not sure if there is a bathroom on site. Parking on the street for the perimeter looks to be free.

Came out here on a beautiful day with some coworkers to toss around the ol' pigskin. The crisp winter air, clear water views, clean grassy fields all provided a great wind down from a busy week. Thank you to the workers and people of Richmond for keeping this slice of heaven so clean. While playing our game a ball got caught in a tree, and we used some coconut tree climbing skills that I learned from my time on the islands to get it down. Great park, great afternoon! Magnum Approved.
