Small tree lined park. The dog loved it and I then learned it is the site if the old Charleston Museum. I'm now googling what happened to it.

As a full-time professional photographer in Charleston, I have the privilege of shooting in some amazing old historic locations! I recently had the honor of photographing the annual Lee & Associates "team photo" for their holiday card on the old historic steps at Cannon Park. The steps and columns are all that's left of the old Charleston Museum. Behind the steps and columns is a nice grassy park, that takes up the whole block. It's conveniently located near MUSC. And in the evenings you'll find lots of locals out walking and playing with their dogs here.

Nice to walk around. We encountered several people who did not have their dogs on a leash, all of which came up to my dog.

The old Charleston Museum was located here. It was destroyed by a fire, but the columns that were a part of the entrance remain. Pretty cool. Dog-friendliness People walk their dogs here. Picnic area Plenty of room to lay a blanket and have a picnic. Lots of shaded areas

Quiet spot to take a rest on a bench under the shade of a live oak. Potential for dog activity and some stray "doggie bags".

Park is in a high traffic residential area. The area is relatively small, compared to other parks. It is approximately 1 mile from MUSC hospital on BEE St. Playground Small playground with a slide and a couple of swings. It appears to be for small children between, say 6 and 10. Restrooms There are no restrooms at this location. Dog-friendliness I noticed many local residents walking their dogs here. Picnic area There are a number of benches in the park but no picnic tables. There are no grills in the park either, so I would not suggest it for picnics.
