They hold events here, this day a Margarita festival was happening. There is a river rapid where people can surf and kayac, an nice viewing platform on the river bank is fun to watch from. Bath room, and play area for kids, they were sure having fun.

Nice place to relax and see the river. The carousel is amazing! Clean restrooms too.

I really liked the rainbow aesthetic. I also liked that there was ping pong tables and corn hole areas. Also places for kids to skate and green grassy areas by the river to sit and chill. This seems like a very cool place to hang out. I enjoyed my trip there.

I love this park, but there is no parking enforcement. I am a quadriplegic who requires access to my handicapped spot. Apparently, this car was parked by a police officer working beerfest as security. Access lines are not a parking spot for anyone. Just cause I'm disabled doesn't mean I should be excluded from an event. Actions like this say that. Definitely from police/security as I'm calling them to tow this car.

Downtown Association usually has many activities to participate with in the park. There is the carousel from spring to fall for a fun ride for all ages! Live music during the summer. Playground Next to Dragon Hollow. Restrooms Usually clean and well stocked. Dog-friendliness On leash, please. Picnic area Many choices. (Sun, shade, grass, tables, etc.)

Our little city has all these amazing treats. Caras is an excellent place to visit when it seems like nothing is going on. Lunch & evening concerts, craft fairs/psychic fair, car show & of course farmer's market on Saturday AM 0:10

Great place for a leisure walk dipping the in the Clark river. Public toilets, paid parking, picnic tables, beautiful Mountain View’s, grassy areas, long walk /bike paths on both sides of river.

The river walk is amazing and the park is absolutely adorable with so much fun to be had! My daughter loves it and I definitely think it's one of the best playgrounds we've ever been too!

Beautiful area, great view along the river. There's a neat old-school carousel with wooden horses, and a huge children's play area that will entertain toddlers to 13yr olds for a good while. Overall worth visiting if you happen to be in Missoula. Also tons of beautiful old architecture in the area.

Caras Park is an incredible gem in Missoula, perfectly situated along the Clark Fork River. The location and facilities are ideal for community gatherings, making it a hub of activity and enjoyment. Having lived above a similar park in a smaller city, I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of Caras Park. I visited at 8 am on a Sunday and noticed the maintenance crew had just been through, leaving the park very clean. Urban park bathrooms can often be a concern, but here they were clean, not my above comment Despite understanding that showcase parks receive special attention, Caras Park gives no impression of falling victim to neglect or nighttime disturbances. The park is a testament to the dedication of the maintenance team and the pride of the local community. It’s a fantastic place for Missoula residents and visitors alike.

Playground Huge and sprawling playground with great hiding spots and obstacles for kids. Restrooms Clean restrooms with water fountains. 4.20.25: We made the 3ish hour drive from Idaho to attend Missoula's 6th Annual 420 Block Party put on by Montana State Hemp & Cannabis Festival. It was a FREE all day, all ages, event with food trucks galore offering a variety of dishes and cuisines, a ton of vendor booths selling arts, crafts, homemade goods, unique gifts, and gourmet candies/snacks, etc., and best of all LIVE MUSIC performed by 3 different bands and a live DJ set. The vibe was awesome and it was good to see so many smiling faces gathering in one place. Also, it was nice not to see a majority of overly intoxicated people stumbling around but instead seeing positive people bringing nothing but good vibes, great dancing, and in high spirits celebrating 420. Weather wasn't too kind that day but you can't really be mad at mother nature lol. I would definitely come back to Caras Park to attend this annual event. Big thank you to all who helped make this block party happen! Dog-friendliness Super dog friendly event

It's a great park in the heart of downtown. Gazebo should be redesigned to protect musicians from sun and weather, current design is terrible.

Beautiful park with live music, food vendors, beer/wine, and kombucha on tap in the summer on Wednesday's and Thursdays. The river trails in town are beautiful but it's always nice to stop by Caras and sit by the river anytime of the year

Daughter suggested we go for the Wednesdays food truck meet up. 11 till 2. I tried the 2 shrimp taco, with rice and refried beans at El Cazador. What a tasty lunch. Daughter went to Mountain berry bowls and she also came back with two sliders , one burger and other pulled pork from River city eats. She’s been here before based on what she ordered both food trucks sit side by side and she shared. Next time that’s what I am going to try. Place wasn’t too busy so no lineups and food was prepared fast. Bit hot out but a good location right beside the river. Lots of seating and very clean. No dogs allowed, just service dogs. Even has basketball hoops. And of course Missoula famous Carousel .

I love this little Park. It's a great place to people-watch write a bite take a walk watch people kayak you can walk down to the river, but it's very easy to access this park if you are disabled or elderly. All ages can enjoy this part and feel like you're really out there. It's a little bit of nature right in the middle of the city. This park always features great events, food beer garden, live music an art. Plus on Saturdays there's a market with lots of locals selling their goods.👍 Recently I went to an art show down there which was amazing. It was so inspiring made me want to go home and start painting.😉 If you haven't been down to caras Park check out the local calendar to see what events are coming up.But don't stay away just because there are no events, because like I said there's so much awesome people watching and hanging out to do whether you're at the carousel or the kids playground or just taking a walk. it's the best. 👍
