Cathedral City Park

Quiet, small, and very serene area that you could come to just enjoy the sun, lay on the grass, or daydream. As a visitor to Portland, I can see why this park is beloved.

Loved all the leaves in the fall but there was construction that kind of ruined the view

This park is indeed a hidden gem in Northern Portland. The park features many walking trails, outstanding views overlooking the river, and a bridge. There is a public restroom and a huge parking lot. Love coming here

This is such a beautiful park! Whether you want to have a picnic down by the river, throw a frisbee, exercise, or just go for a walk with your animal friend(s), there is plenty of room for all of it. I enjoy this space immensely; the low hum of the traffic above, the wide open spaces, well maintained gardens, the architecture of the St. Johns bridge, benches and tables to sit and take it all in, the beach area, the pontoon bridge that stretches out into the Willamette river and the sunsets over Forest Park. There is parking in both the upper and lower sections of the park, as well as a boat ramp on the North side. Definitely give this park a visit!

I had the chance to do an amazing photoshoot at Cathedral Park, under the St. Johns Bridge, and also on the bridge itself. This location is just 20 minutes away from Downtown Portland, and it feels like a scene out of a movie, especially with the stunning arches beneath the bridge. The platform on Edison Street is ideal for capturing unique shots, whether you’re doing photography or videography. The best time for a session here is either early morning or around sunset. If you have access to nearby apartments, the rooftop view of the bridge provides another great spot for a quick shoot. This is one of the most beautiful places for capturing special moments in Oregon!

Although it was amazing to visit the park here, riding our bikes across this bridge was a bit scary. The motorists are driving very quickly on the bridge and there is no bike lane. I would recommend visiting the park and biking back into town as opposed to across the bridge. If you visit Portland, this is a great spot to have a walk or take a picnic.

I am so in love with this spot. The most perfect place for sunset and picnics. It’s such a chill spot and in such a good part of Portland. The people are so mindful of each other and the grass is just so nice and green. Such a clean spot. Me and my friend went here sometime last week and the sunset was so beautiful. If you are in town and are looking for places to watch the sunset, cathedral park is the spot to go.

Truly an amazing place with still a lot of potential. This place is a gem that needs to be given the RESPECT it deserves. Put money into Cathedral Park!!! This place has an incredible charm and spectacular vibes especially in summertime. Five star rating. So much open space to enjoy outdoor activities and such a peaceful spot.

One of Portland's best parks. Hosts various events include the yearly free Jazz festival, Twirl ( a monthly gay friendly dance party & playground in the park, also a yearly electronic music day event. A great place to take your dog, boat, or a walk along the shore. A very popular place for wedding photography. Walk across the st johns bridge while your there. Parking can be limited. Yes, you can drive on the railroad tracks. Lastly home to my favorite brewery and German pub.
