Love chimbo park. Great views and plenty of space for lots of people to be out and about but not on top of each other. Great place for kites. Like most richmond parks there are no restrooms and the grass gets crazy during the summer so it could definitely be better, but 🤷‍♂️ …

It was the first time we had been to Bark Park and Greta absolutely loved the pool❤️ Nice area to walk and bike in the Park. Dog-friendliness The park has its own Bark Park for dogs...small and large sections. Of course my Lab wanted the small one with the pool! That is the happiest she has been all summer.

Whilst I was on holiday here, I did not realise how close my accommodation was to this surprisingly important piece of history regards to the American civil war. The park is fairly large and overlooks the valley with some perfect spots to get some great photos. I would recommend anyone who is planning on doing the history of the area to visit the park. Especially the hospital. Which sadly was closed when I arrived at the park.

Nice park featuring good views from the hill, a NPS medical history museum, and some curious historical markers. Lots of nice benches.

This is a beautiful park! I attended a sound bath session this 105 degrees evening. I contemplated going due to the heat, but the trees and water really helped keep it cooler. The views are wonderful, and the grass is so luscious! I will definitely return 😊 …

A great place to go for a walk solo, with family/friends or dogs. Lots of acreage. Wide open and fungoof. This, I'd say is a hidden Richmond gem. Not alot of people are usually here. Great place to run/jog/walk around. Good place ro picnic or read a book. Yoga and meditation would be good here too Dog-friendliness They have a small fenced area where you can bring your dogs(aka dog park)

Richmond's oldest park and one of it's best kept secrets. One of my personal favorite parks in the city and my favorite place to go to watch sunsets. It could use a little love, but personally I think that adds to the charm. Be sure to check out the tiny statue of liberty replica when you come for a visit.

Park appears to be run down alot. Does not seem to be maintained very well. Such a shame too. As this was a beautiful place to walk around. Lots of weeds, tree limbs down, and graffiti. Breaks my heart.

Beautiful park with walking paths and trees for shade on hot days. Interesting historical monuments/landmarks about emancipation and indigenous peoples.

Lovely city park with a wide breath of lawn. Has a great view toward the south side. Perfect for a run out walking the dog through. There are many locals that do entertain their off leash dogs here but there is also a dog park hiding just down the hill. Highly recommended.
