Great dogs. 99% of owners are very attentive. Big space for the dogs to run around.

They have a fountain in case your dogs get hot in the summer. Makes it easy to refill water cups, too. When we visited there were also public tennis balls to play fetch with.

Great park with plenty of grass, two full and two half basketball courts, multiple playgrounds, and a big dog run with a separate area for small dogs, plenty of benches, and running water during the warm months. There's even public restrooms. Also nearby are two great neighborhood bars including o'nieals restaurant. Ice cream and hot dog trucks are often found around the park perimeter as well. B

The people are nice and the dogs are good. The park itself needs work. There is a stone fountain that just looks like a diseased spot. There is a hose for the dogs to get water but there is only stone pebbles over dirt, it is not the best place for the dogs to run. They have 2 separate areas so agresive or small dogs can be alone. They have a proper gate setup to keep your dog safe.

Plenty of benches, a big, working fountain and separate runs for big and small dogs. Mostly a friendly crowd--both dogs and people--but use common sense. If you--or your dog--like the large stones as a dog-run surface, you will like the large stones. If you don't, you won't.

Really spacious park with room and courts for all ages. Right in the heart of Hoboken where you can easily access from Washington st, the light rail. Close by are great restaurants and neighborhood bars where you can meet an assortment of interesting people. Dog run is always a bonus!!

The parks dept needs to put down more gravel, but otherwise this is a great place to bring your pup. The fences are relatively high and the gates are secure. I bring all my dog walking clients here, the ones that are friendly and allowed by their owners, that is :). And I love that there is a little kiddie pool and fresh water in the spring and summer. Definitely recommend this place to let your dog run around.

A nice dog park in the jersey city vicinity yo take your dog. We take our pet everyday for his leash free time. There are many different dogs who play with each other and have fun. The only negative thing is that the park is a turf and not real grass. A fun place to take your dog so that he can enjoy and let go of his energy Dog-friendliness It is a dog park.

There are two dog parks. One for big dogs and the other is for small dogs. The dog parks are maintained. Just watch for the professional dog walkers who bring in as many as a dozen dogs at a time. There's a two dog limit per person. This should be enforced by the city but it is rarely if ever done.

August 2025. The first phase with the Church Square Park renovation is complete! I thought there was going to be a burn behind the dog park to mitigate noise to or from the street but I don't see that. Separate areas for large dogs and small dogs, shaded seating for human support.

Such a fun park right in the middle of Hoboken. We stopped as we were walking through town. We really appreciate this town's love for dogs and the amount of green space they provide for them.

Park is great. Sadly not sure if it is the snow or normal there were a lot of people who decided not important to pick up their dog waste. If you love dogs I just don't get why you can't pick up so other dogs don't go after the waste or owners having to navigate not stepping in it. No one when I was there was leaving it, but it is a shame. Dog-friendliness Hoboken in general is very dog friendly which is great

Such a beautiful church and park. The dog park is Nirvana for dogs (and dog lovers).

Always an active park for the dogs. I have small dogs and like that there is a separate area for them to be.

Very nice dog park. It's split into two parts so that small dogs can be separated from big dogs whenever needed. It also has nice double gates that latch firmly which is super helpful for getting in and out without losing any dogs. The free bags and shovel are quite useful for cleanup. The only concern I would say here is that the small dog section is quite tiny and doesn't give a ton of room for running. If you need more space for a small dog I recommend the Steven's dog park which is perfect for small dogs size wise.

Good park but downside is the dirt and gravel. Expect both you and your dog to leave here dirty. There's two fenced in areas. One for small dogs and a larger area for all other dogs. In a great location located right in Church Square Park.

Fantastic dog park. Lots of balls to play with. People watch their dogs. Lots of benches and a water fountain. In the summer people tend to fill up a kiddie pool, so stay away if you need your dog to come home clean or dry. There's also a separate area for smaller dogs, but it's rarely used. Sometimes dogs howl at the church bells.

park has been developed and looks much better than it used too, however there are 2 major problems. 1st is the homeless population that is always in the park. at any given time there are about 6-20 homeless in the park. 2nd is upkeep. the drain in the dog run has been broken for a long time, leading to stinky algae water in the dog bath.

I am just a dog admirer, so I go to the park to sit and dog-watch. The dogs seem to like it, though. There is a separate small-dog area, water fountains for the dogs, white gravel surface, and numerous benches for the dogs' people, including a couple of benches under cover. The dogs and people usually seem quite relaxed, and many of the dogs enjoy playing, either with their people or each other.

Average dog park. Usually relatively poop free but can get kind of wet and dirty in poor weather. Don’t love the gravel, wish it had grass and maybe a jungle gym for dogs to run up and down (you know how some dog runs have the concrete mountain and other interesting structures to investigate). Has benches for owners to sit and a water fountain that last I went was not working. Has smaller area for small dogs which is nice.
