I have three dogs that love this park. The fee for the first dog was $95, and each additional dog is $20(?). So for me it's about $11 per month. With one dog that's about $8 a month! A bargain for what you get. In a perfect world it would be free, but this place is staffed and they keep it clean, so I don't mind paying. I mean, this place does not smell like poop! Perhaps the Barkery could offer an income based sliding scale? Requiring spayed or neutered dogs cuts down on aggressive behavior, never had an incident. Requiring up to date shots keeps my pups safe. I HAVE NEVER STEPPED IN POOP AT CITYWALK BARKERY. BTW: 5 laps around the fence line is about a mile.

Great Dog Park - friendly owners and dogs. Park has three sections. Large and small dog areas each have a small pool and toys available. Reasonable annual membership fee, so worth it for the included parking and peace of mind knowing all dogs have their vaccines. Love the Staff!

Disappointed with this park. Should have read some of the previous reviews which highlight these facts - $10 per dog or a membership of $95 a year with current vaccinations. ALSO no children are allowed! I haven’t seen that EVER in a dog park before so didn’t think to look before coming. We just moved to the area with two small dogs and two young kids. We were excited about taking our dogs to a park and let our kids run around and chase them. Nope. Left with disappointed kids.

This park is great! It is always clean, mostly shaded, and has plenty of room and things for dogs to play on. My dog especially loves the little pool!

Clean park in the heart of Birmingham’s entertainment district. Current vaccinations are required, making play safer for your pup. Parking in the area comes at a fee, but there are free spots nearby if you don’t mind walking. To play for a day, there’s a $10 fee, but an annual membership can be purchased for $95. The annual membership includes unlimited entry and free parking. The staff is friendly and they often have treats for the pups. Unlike the other membership park, you are allowed to bring balls in the park.

I love trust it’s regulated & clean!!

Whose idea was it to make this a PAID dog park that doesn’t allow children?! With red mountains dog park 10 minutes down the road I can see why this one was completely empty when we attempted to patron it with our son. Huge disappointment imo. I hope they fix this to just be a free, honor system, self policed dog park.

It is the nicest dog park I've ever been to. Covered in places by the interstate overhead from the sun and well lit at night. AstroTurf everywhere that is cleaned by sprinklers. You have to prove your dog is up to date on shots, pay a membership for one year ($95) and it's good no little kids are allowed that might get hurt by the playing dogs. Three separate areas for dogs let you pick the best place for your pup to play. Beautiful place to visit.

“City Park” which would make you think it’s open to the public. NOPE! It’s $20 PER VISIT unless you get a membership and bring in all your dogs paperwork. What a joke!!

My pups absolutely love this park! It is a membership park $10 daily or $95 for a year. You also have to have vaccinations and have your dog(s) fixed. I live in the area and for me it worth it! Sitting areas for the parents while the fur babes tire themselves out!

Great gated area in downtown B'ham for dogs. Separate small and large dog areas. Very clean. Need to have updated vet paperwork for admission and you need to pay to get in. Membership is $99* /annually or $20/visit. Annul Membership seems reasonable if you live in the area and go there often enough. There are also chat pages on the internet about different dog groups that try to meet there on certain days! Restrooms None Dog-friendliness IT'S A DOG PARK! Yes it's dog friendly!😅

I work in vet med and absolutely love the fact that vaccines must be up to date. Also the park looks very clean. HOWEVER, I thought it was a bit ridiculous to have to pay a day pass of $20. Or get a membership. I understand why there would be a charge, but $20? It’s my fault for not doing some research first but I honestly wasn’t expecting that. There was no one there and I see why now. There are plenty of free dog parks that I’ll just go to.

BEWARE OF THE PRICES they charge. 5 star now went to 3 Visited on Fri Mar 29, so glad the dogs and I did. It was a huge treat to them after traveling all day on Thur. I travel alot around the US and never have found a dog park as nice as this one. What a GREAT way the city to use a dead space under the interstate. You do have to have vaccine records with you. (I always do when traveling in case we find things like this). I was charged $20 for 2 dogs- totally worth it to me. I liked there were 3 different sectioned off fenced areas with things for dogs to climb on, water bowls, turf, small water area for a dog to lay down and cool off, and all of these areas were VERY CLEAN. I also liked the clean restrooms where I bring my pets in with me. As this is a difficult task doing when solo traveling. ***UPDATE: My dogs and I decided to come back Mar 31. Young male adult was going to charge $40 total for 2 dogs. I questioned the amount. As my bank account showed $20 total for March 29. I even showed him my bank account. The CityWalk Barkary website only says $20 but does not say for each dog. The young Male said "well, maybe the lady didn't see the other dog." I said "No.That's not correct. Because she gave both of them treats, she processed both of their vaccine records and she came out to the fence area and visited with us". He then asked if I had a hotel key. We are staying in AirBnb and were the day we first arrived. Needless to say, the dogs and I left. I am not going to pay $40 to let them play for hour and half time left before closing time.

I love this park and so does my dog. It has the largest turf yard in Birmingham, wade pools that get filled in the warm days, and a strict guest policy that ensures all the dogs are safe and vaccinated. There’s also a group chat that allows members to keep up with each other and plan doggie play dates. I’d give ten stars if I could.

Super nice. Super clean. Oliver does a great job. For all those complaining about price, just get the membership. 5 visits and it’s paid. No brainer.

We love the CityWalk Barkery! It is clean, staffed, and well lit in the evening. The quality of everything feels top notch, and our pup loves running and playing. As an owner, I love that the dogs need proof of vaccination in order to enter. The cost is cheaper than other dog parks, which is much appreciated.

Beautiful park that does require a membership. The yearly fee ($95) is less than man others but still costs money. The upside to this is they require vaccinations and fixing before a dog can enter. We love this since it ensure extra safety for the animals. Beautiful park that is always staffed. Highly recommend.

The whole process is really frustrating. First, you have to PAY to PARK in the parking lot…before you PAY to get into the actual park… the process from when I walked up to the window to when I took my dog in the park was 25 minutes. And, I submitted my dogs vaccinations / immunizations prior to arriving… I had to fill out paperwork and get her registered for 25 minutes. The only reason I’m even leaving 3 stars is because the park itself is very nice and the people who worked the registration were very friendly and helpful. The process needs to be improved.

Our dog has loved playing at this new park! It has plenty of room for him to run, and he enjoys being around other dogs. Yearly membership costs $95, well worth it to us since we live close.

What a joke! I mean it's nice but you have to pay $20 to walk through the gate. Requires membership and upload of vet records. Oh, and no one under 16 allowed inside. It's dog friendly just not people or family friendly 🙄 …
