Cottonwood Mall Dog Park

There is a lot if dog poop. No one is picking up after their dog. It could be that I went after an event of some kind. Or it just hadn't been cleaned yet. On the pluse side. Vending machine and dog washing station looked pretty cool.

I'm a volunteer dog walker for the Watermelon ranch rescue store in the mall. The dogs love to walk to the dog park to socialize and stretch their legs. There are 4 fenced off areas for dogs with different personalities. If the dogs are old or not very Social the 2 smaller areas are usually empty so you can have them all to yourself and your furry friends. The fences are pretty high so its unlikely that anyone will jump out. I like the new dog washing station. No more kneeling down or dealing with a sore back. The station is a little lower than countertop height so no bending over. If your dog shed's alot you dont have to worry about clogging your drain at home.

Nice dog park, with agility equipment and separate areas for small dogs, larger dogs, and socially anxious dogs. The lights don't come on when the sun goes down, though, even though the lights in the parking lot (which surrounds the dog park) work. Also, there are phone charging stations, but they don't work either.

Like an Oasis. Built into Asphalt. The idea is nice, but it's pretty to think so. Not worth it in the Summer. Fall could be nice. Winter makes the amenities, obsolute. Spring, makes you wait for the "upgrades" / "fixes" / "council desicion"

It is a welcome break with, shade, nice trees and a fun area for active dogs. We loved the modified agility obstacles. I wish there was a tunnel,too! Our two pooches loved it.

The dogbpark is in a parking lot. Has a lot of dog agility items, a picnic table and some shade from surrounding trees. I appreciate it being there for sure but there are almost never other dogs there (so no socializing) and the gate latch was broken for a long time so double check it if you have a runner.

Nice place to stop when passing through. Hours either used to be much longer—or they just never locked the gates—not sure why that changed. There are agility obstacles, a covered pavilion, benches, a picnic table, and water stations (although they seem to be seasonal). There are several bag stations and they are typically filled, but this trip all were empty. Guessing holiday travel was a factor. We appreciate that there are smaller areas for dogs that don't play well with others, but if that describes your pups, be mindful that there are multiple entrances and pass-throughs. All-in-all, this is a reasonably maintained well-lit patk with astroturf and shade. We've stopped here in all kinds of weather and are grateful to have found it.

cute park, decently clean, has four sections- for small dogs, big dogs, senior/anxious dogs, and special needs dogs. No working water fountains currently so bring your own!! There was a dog wash station but it was broken. there is also a vending machine but I'm not sure if it works

Adorable spot with an obstacle course to play with your dogs or sit and watch them. The solar outlets do not work. The clean-up station assists with clean-up.

Never in my travels have I seen a dog park in a mall parking lot. Lots of places to sit, ramps and whatnot for the pups, a dog wash station and water. Lots of poop bag holders but they were all empty. Really convenient if you’re running errands with your pup.

We were the only people there. Great park with devided areas. Room to run play and have fun. I was disappointed though at all the people who don't pick after their dogs. I guess they figure someone else will do it. So I did.

The day I intentionally stopped there someone on security detail forgot to unlock the gates. I took a guess security had the keys and they sent one of their guys to unlock it for us. The park is small but it's a gem for training your dog. Good obedience obstacles for them. Restrooms No restrooms for people but the pets are always welcome to go anyplace they want. They always have servants with them to clean up behind them. Picnic area None

I really love this dog park! It's a hit or miss whether there's a ton of dogs there. But overall, it's very well maintained and it has a lot of separate sections for nervous dogs or senior dogs. My dogs really enjoy it because there's a lot of space and I can even get them to go on the obstacle course on occasion. Definitely underrated and I hope that more people will start going because it's a really great space.

Nice little park for the dogs but it is not kept up . Water fountains for dogs turned off so make sure you’ve got water. Under a picnic table one of my babies found a cut straw which is a sign drugs are being used keep your eyes open. Piles of dog feces even though there were bags to use.

First time here. Was impressed with the agility equipment for dogs. Need more tables in shade. Water fountain didn't work. Otherwise, the furbabys enjoyed their time. Playground No Restrooms No Dog-friendliness Yes. It is a dog park. Picnic area 2 picnic tables. Should have a few more.

Great place to take your pup to play with other dogs. I have never seen any aggressive dogs there and it is not crowded. I have at least 4 other dog parks that are closer to me, but I like to go to cottonwood.

Giving this really nice dog park with amazing agility amenities only 2 stars, because for a desert area that is so hot in early June, how stupid are you for having opening hours of 11am and not turning on the water fountains. This is nuts and shameful for such an affluent area. The money you are wasting keeping the vending machine running 24/7 so that you can charge users to buy a soda or bottle of water, I am sure the money you save by removing it would pay for the water to be turned on

Posted signage states 8am unless management changes their mind. Google has hours at 8, website says llam, but they don't necessarily even open then. Cannot rely on this park being open.
