Dutchman Dog Park

Love this dog park!! It’s huge and has a small and big dog side. Both sides are huge. My dog loves this park! There is also 2 smaller dog areas that can be reserved. There is not that many dog parks near here, so this is wonderful to have one so nice! 0:11

It is a safe place for people to get together with their dogs & let them have a doggy play date. As well as training to be a good dog around others. Dog-friendliness Fenced in areas separate for small & large dogs.

I’ve been coming to this dog park since it first opened and have consistently had positive experiences. It’s well maintained and a great space for dogs to run. There’s also a separate gated area that can be reserved for private use, which is a nice feature.

Absolutely a great park to bring your dogs and puppies! Three separate fenced off areas just incase you like to separate your dog.

My pups love this park. They reseeded and the grass has gotten thicker. Even when its hot the shade and grass keep it cooler. They look forward to going everyday. They sleep good at night. Dog-friendliness Off leash park with grass. Water stations, shade.

Dog parks are still a new experience for me. I’m learning how and when to trust dogs I don’t know to be around my boy. We had some rough experiences at parks when he was a pup. He had some things to learn as well. But, we’re stringing together enough positive experiences that we’re both starting to relax and have some fun. I have been taking my dogs to this park since it opened. Love the fact that it is in section so you can take your smaller to a different section than the bigger digs. It is well maintenanced and kept clean.

My 5 month Poodle was attached by a Huskey mix at the Duchman dog park this afternoon. The dog even came after my dog again when my husband had him on a leash and was leaving, so, be careful.

The dog park is beautiful. Plenty of area the dogs needs, to just run around and be happy. Sad thing is the owners not cleaning up after their dogs, another is letting their untrained dog nip other dogs.

The park itself is very nice, slightly prone to flooding after rainy days but they tend to keep the grass nice and green, I've been going here for a few months now, usually on the same day and around the same time so there's a good group of dogs my pup plays with that are nice and friendly! The only reason I am giving this a 3 star is the fact that some folks do bring untrained dogs that you need to watch and keep an eye on them. Today was different and I seen alot of new pups so I was on my toes and watch every dog closely, all the dogs were great until one showed up, an older gentleman with a black and white Boston terrier, who from the get go was going after other dogs but all the dogs just ignored it and dealt with him well, that was until it went after 2 puppies (around 4-6 months)that were sitting in their owners lap! This was the first dog attack I've seen there personally but it was scary, My dog had never seen a dog attack and it even scared him for a good 15mins! So please, please, please KNOW YOUR DOG AND WHEN TO DISCIPLINE THEM! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! Both the puppy owners and the Boston owner left and things settled down after, but just keep in mind, not all dogs here may be trained or "friendly". Know your dog, be safe, and always watch your dogs with others around. 👍

We took our dog Nugget to the Dutchman dog park. This is a very nice park with a small park, a large dog park, and a park you can reserve. The parks are very large so lots of room for your pooch to roam. The parks are well maintained but there is no water inside the parks so bring your on.

Well maintained and always stocked with plenty of doggy bags, my dog always has a great time here, plenty of space to run and play

My issue with this dog park is the rental process. It's extremely frustrating that the office staff isn't consistent with rental policies. We used to be able to rent the park on the same day, but tonight we were told it had to be done by 3 PM. I don't understand why it can't be rented if it's going to be empty for the rest of the night. Furthermore, their attitude and lack of respect when speaking to us make the entire experience even more frustrating.

What is going on are you ever reopening?? Why are you lieing about it reopening on the 19th?? This really really sucks!!! 😡This dog park is wonderful!! ❤️ Theres lots of green grass to play in, and a beautiful senary of Superstition Mountains gated all the way.. theres an area for big dogs and small dogs, and one you can rent hourly.. It's clean and kept up!! Thank you we absolutely love this dog park!! 🐶😍🐕 Can't wait till you reopen!!! Bells is itching to go back!!!! 😆

This is undoubtedly one of the best dog parks! Gigantic large dog side with picnic tables and benches for owners and toys and water bowls for pets. athe small dog and senior dog side was much smaller but offered rocky paths surrounded by vegetation for your pet to explore in. BEWARE: TAKING YOUR DOG HERE PUTS YOUR DOG AT MAJOR RISK! TOO MANY IRRESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERS THAT DON'T WATCH THEIR DOGS! BAD BEHAVIOR DOGS DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENT OWNERS! One out of the 3 parks is always closed. Some dog owners ignore their dogs' bad behavior. My dog has been nipped @ & a few other things have happened as well. We just leave & find it's better if we walk other parks or come late at night when no one is at this park. It was a great idea, it wasn't planned out very well though, they should have found a different location instead of cramming a dog park into such a small space. More space for multiple activities & dogs would have been ideal!

***I wanted to update. It's been almost a year since I left this review and I did start going back. I know that sounds weird, but its the closest park for us and since it was a while we wanted to give this place another chance. For a good while we had a great experience there and did not have any issues with aggressive dogs. And then it finally happened and my dog did get bit and had 2 huge gashes and a scratch from it. I wanted to update here just to let anyone know and make owners aware. After this experience, we will not be taking our dog to any dog park again. Which sucks. We've never had an experience at any other park (and we have been to many dog parks as we travel a lot) but it just takes one aggressive dog to cause harm and I never want to risk my dogs safety like that again. I want to say again that my dog is the sweetest. He is not aggressive at all. The only thing he does to have ever prompted any aggression from another dog is go up to them and sniff them. And at a dog park he should be allowed to do that. He doesnt even instigate play. He's cautious around the other dogs and lets them prompt any play first. I wanted to add that just so it is known that my dog is not a problem. And I, as an owner, watch him very carefully the whole time. Unfortunately, if a dog isn't trained well or has any issues with resource guarding, I've noticed that they can switch in a split second. I promise that I am not trying to slander this park or say it is the fault of this place. This park is so nice and well maintained. There are some great owners and so many great dogs that come here. But there's still an issue with people bringing aggressive dogs. All I want is to make people aware and hope that with that awareness it won't happen again or the situation can be stopped before any dog gets hurt. With that, I hope your dog has a great time here and like I said the park itself is great. Just be cautious and watch over your dogs extra carefully. Too many aggressive dogs here. The park itself is well maintained and very nice. There are 3 different sides to the park for friendly dogs, timid dogs, and an area that looks like you can reserve. I hate leaving a one star review, but both times we've been here our dog (who is super sweet and friendly) has been held down and almost attacked by other aggressive dogs. Their owners do next to nothing to get their dogs out of the situation. And both times, they did this to other dogs too. They'd say they would leave and didn't so we had to leave both times to keep our dog safe. I just wanted to write this to warn other owners and to implore dog owners with questionable and aggressive dogs to please stop taking their dogs in spaces like this. They need proper training first, just like we had to train our dog.
