Ed R. Levin County Park is one of my favorite outdoor spots in the area. Beautiful rolling hills, great hiking trails with amazing Bay views, and plenty of open space for kids to run around. The lake area is peaceful and perfect for a picnic. Definitely a great place to spend a few hours outdoors!

The rolling hills, peaceful lake, and hiking trails make it a perfect escape from the city. The trails are accessible and offer great views of the valley — we especially loved the less-crowded feel compared to other nearby parks. The restrooms and picnic areas were clean and tidy. The park’s proximity to the city makes it very convenient, and it looks especially stunning in the spring after rain, when the greenery is vibrant and beautiful. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing hike, a picnic, or just a quiet spot to unwind, this park has it all. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous views from the hiking trail. Hundreds of snails were crossing the Los Coches Ridge trail when we were out hiking, which was a bit stressful (to not crunch them) but this park is beautiful and the facilities were immaculate.

Whether you are looking for a family getaway or hiking or bird watching, this is the place to go. Right now is the best time to visit as wild flowers are blooming all over the valley. I went there for a short hike this weekend and it was hard to put my camera down. There are multiple trails surrounding the park to choose from based on the amount of time and energy you want to spend hiking. If you hike up the agua cliente trail, there are beautiful views of the silicon valley, just be careful of cattle. And after the hike, eat and relax at the lakeshore. Ed R. Levin Park, nestled in the stunning Calaveras mountains, has the nickname "Little Switzerland." This park presents a landscape reminiscent of the Swiss countryside, featuring rolling hills, lush meadows, and grazing cattle. During spring, the verdant hills are dotted with colorful wildflowers, such as California poppies, lovely lupine, and bright yellow wild mustard, which enhance the beauty of the landscape. Different levels of hike are here. From the shortest next to the lake to 8+ miles to the summit of Monument Peak, ascended more than 2,000 feet in elevation, or, for a greater challenge, there's also a 13-mile hike to Mission Peak starting from Ed Levin Park with a 3,172-foot elevation gain. There is a $6 entrance fee. This park is also covered by the Santa Clara County Parks Annual Vehicle Entry Pass, which is $95 at the regular price, but it's reduced to $15 for eligible individuals and families who participate in certain social programs like Medi-Cal, CalFresh, SSI, or CalWORKs or use services at the Department of Family and Children's Services San Jose or Gilroy Family Centers. 0:15

Very accessible park from Milpitas. Best for families and individuals who want to relax in the great outdoors. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. There are barbecue areas and trails available. We went on a short hike and our 10 years old son was able to survive the 3 mile walk. Highly recommend this gem.

The best place to have a good time. Fresh clean with a fee of $6 dollars. I recommend going to the mountain ass. I like to go at night to see the stars and the moon but during the day or dawn or dusk I recommend you not to waste any more time and go live the experience.
