Great enclosed space. Seating and shade if you want it. Bring your own water, they have bowls laid out.

This dog park is less than a year old. It opened in July 2017. It is close enough to walk to from our house. It is a good size with plenty of room to run. There are benches for pet owners to sit on and trees to provide shade on hot sunny days. The grass which was here initially is no more. The wet spring conditions and regular dog traffic created a muddy mess. That has been corrected with wood chips over most of the park. My dog doesn't seem to mind. He still runs here and loves the park. They have dog bowls but no water supply yet. I heard rumors that they are trying to resolve that. I expect this park will continue to get better over time.

Lovely dog park with plenty of room for running! Only access is from the lake path- recommend parking south by Lawrence if traveling by car!

My doggo loves going off-leash in this dog run! She drags me there every morning now. It's got a nice, complete, high fence with a double gated entrance. It's long enough for her to get a good run in and throw a ball. There are a few trees for sniffing and a community water bowl.

Nice dog park! My puppy loves it, there aren't always many dogs there but it is a good fenced in space for my dog to run around. Sometimes you do get a nice mix of small to big size dogs. I once left my phone behind and returned half an hour later to find it right where I had left it.

Very well maintained and large dog park - all grass and woodchips (no asphalt or concrete right next to the ladle front trail. There are many benches/chairs to sit on while the dogs play, trees that make for fun games of chase and the occasional squirrel spotting. Usually not too crowded, lots of space ton run around. There are trash cans, sometimes extra waste bags and water bowls though best to bring water to fill them with. Like Share Response from the owner 2 years ago Thank you So much for the kind words. I don't think people realize that that park is not part of the park district It's totally run by volunteers and not funded by the government. We do fundraisers and hang banners on the side for sponsorship money. Thank you so much again! Please donate if you can!

My dog loved this park! There’s lots of space to run, with garbage can and water both provided. There’s always a couple dogs, so your dog can get some socializing.

I went today and it was so disgusting. I know it’s been rainy lately but it looked and smelled like a dump. There was no way I wanted my dog to play there. I can’t imagine even when it’s dry that it would be better. Who looks after this dog friendly area? Yikes.
