The most beatiful garden I have ever visited. I had some quality time with my family there. The park and the roses were amazing. I still have the smell in my nose.

Beautiful space and well maintained gardens. Would recommend getting a couple of jersey mikes subs and coming here for a picnic. Ample free parking and lots of trails to explore. Great for birding as well. Always lots of people doing photo shoots which is nice.

What an amazing job of stewardship the Elizabeth Park Conservancy does. We enjoyed our tour with its Chair David. He is a delightful wealth of knowledge. We are looking forward to repeat trips!

This over 100 acre park with its stunning rose garden is a wonderful way to spend the day. Entrance is free and it is opened 365 days! We visited on a Sunday afternoon in early autumn 2025 and were pleased to see some roses still in bloom. There are over 800 varieties of old and new roses. The best time to see them in full bloom is mid June to early July. The rustic gazebo is stunning and makes for great photo opportunities. The are paved, level walking and biking trails all around and trees throughout are identified. There is plenty of green space to relax and enjoy the peacefulness. The Asylum Street entrance brings you to the to the rose garden, pond, bridges, perennial garden and greenhouses. Beautifully clean and well maintained park for all to enjoy. 0:15

We love this Rose garden. My mother was so happy to be here. She loves the flower so much and put a lot of effort into gardening and to her this place was a dream place to be. The kids enjoyed it as well. We had a relaxing time. The best time to visit is mid June I would say. You will get a splendid family pics here.

Beautiful park in West Hartford near the border of Hartford. Elizabeth park has a large rose garden in addition to many other varieties of flowers. Lots of greenery as well as a small pond to stroll by. The park is clean and well manicured with many plant varieties. There are open spaces for playing sports and the atmosphere is relaxed. At the center there is a gift shop as well as several buildings with ball rooms which can be rented for events. Restrooms Restrooms at the gift shop. Picnic area Great for picnics.

A beautiful park, and the several gardens are really something to behold. The roses were mostly gone when we went, can't imagine how stunning they are in bloom. Came here specifically to give David the tour guide five stars - so warm and friendly, and clearly has a real enthusiasm for sharing interesting history about the park. Definitely take the tour if you go.

It is a nice huge park. Looking for Tulips or Roses?? You can give it a visit. Playgrounds are also there. Tennis court, Sunrise Point. It's not open for a picnic. Good for walking as well. Can spend an evening definitely ... Restrooms are also available. A small souvenir shop was also there but I will not recommend buying... 0:09 0:10 0:08 0:03 0:03 0:03 0:10 0:05

Elizabeth Garden is one of the rose heaven for CT citizens.. Well maintained park with plenty of parking..can park 500 cars at a time without parking cost. Though we had been on a hottest weekend day . it was crowded and people love to visit this park. everyone was happily admiring the bunches of roses...some even trying to enjoy the fragrance... of course very rare flowers had that quality... Children were roaming like angels in between rose flowers and cute young girls, ladies, granny wearing floral frocks were clicking photos with hundreds of poses... Roses always play a vital part in ladies memories This park is a special attraction for Connecticut people. Thanks a lot to the people who were working together for this eye catching blooming in all varieties with beautiful colors.. Restrooms Numbers Not matching with the crowd Dog-friendliness Not seen inside the garden Picnic area Excellent one day picnic spot Kids were roaming around the garden playing like angels 0:29

Very beautiful and delicate place - has a pond with bridge, a lovely rose garden (probably two, if includes the old one - also greenhouses), and a lot of (mostly native) beautiful trees that may or may not be commonly seen. It is a very peaceful walk during winter time, and I cannot imagine when all the flowers bloom and trees are turning green!

It’s a gem of a place! June is prime time to go for the roses 🌹🌹🌹. However, it’s a wonderful place to go for a picnic, summer series concerts, walk, run, and other horticultural activities! I’ve been going for over 20 years and it gets better every year! Dog-friendliness Lots of people bring their dogs! Picnic area People picnic here ! And there’s a wonderful restaurant called Pond Cafe ! 0:02

Maybe it's just me, but I can't get excited about a rose garden. Sure, they are pretty for a few months of the year, but the rest of the time, they are just a reminder that you're in Connecticut and the weather isn't ideal for anything. On the plus side, the park has some of the most laid-back geese and ducks you'll ever meet. I think they should consider giving the non-rose garden areas of the park, which are most of the park in terms of acreage, a little more love.

Had a little time before flight out so wife & I went to Elisabeth Park as we heard it was nice. Late Oct & a lot if roses still blooming on top of all the beautiful Fall Foilage & decorations. We hope we can get back during full flower season if it looks this good now. The gardens, water features and open areas were exceptional. Highly recommended.

A beautiful park, even in late summer when many flowers were past their peak. A nice gift shop, good clean restrooms and picnic tables for those who like to enjoy lunch in the park, additionally there is a beautiful pond teeming with ducks and geese. Many benches line the pond and in the rose gardens. Plenty of space to enjoy nature's beauty. Highly recommended!

Rose Garden is the prime attraction during summer. We visited in spring to experience the beauty of tulips. Usually tulip garden visit comes with an entry fee. But here it’s free and they have a beautifully decorated tulip garden with various colors of tulips. The place was pretty crowded for that reason. You will find trails, basketball and tennis ground, children’s playground and a pond. There’s a small restaurant too. On the other side of the park there’s a sunrise point with vast ground n front and a nice Hartford downtown skyline. Restrooms You will find right in front of the parking area. 0:02
