The photos of this park is nothing like it is today. Yes, there is a walking trail. The gazebos are there but need work. There is no lake or whatever that is there in the one pic anywhere anymore. The fences need work. But all in all it's a decent place for the dogs to walk.

My dog makes friends and has fun and so do I. Kids 10 and up are able to come and that's cool too.

One of the best. Also PSA BRING YOUR EMPTY Grocery bags and put them in the shed people! I've gone to this dog park for over a year now. At all times of the day and week. My dog frickin loves this place, especially the ponds. It's kept super clean and everyone is usually very very friendly. The dogs, I've never had an issue with nor have I seen anything escalate into a serious issue. Its close by to Starbucks so I usually grab a coffee on the weekend and a pup cup on my way back home. Definitely going to miss Tom Sawyer Dog Park and the pups.

Looks like a great park but there is no indication online or any signage as you enter the park that you need a key fob to enjoy it. We are visiting Louisville and needed someplace to let our dogs be dogs only to have to leave🙁 …

I love this dog park! This is a very large park with plenty of space for your fur baby to roam. Tom Sawyer dog park has a separate area for dogs under 30 lbs as well as a larger side for all size dogs. There are multiple pet waste disposal areas throughout the park and water stations as well. On the "all dog" side of the park there is a large area that gets flooded and essentially turns into a pond after a good rain, most dogs seem to love to play in it! The park has a place to clean up your dog after possibly getting muddy if this happens... just bring a towel! Another great thing about this park is that there is ample seating for all the humans. There are chairs, multiple gazebos, and benches all throughout. Many of these are located in nice, shady areas. The gravel trail on the larger side is also mostly shaded and provides a nice scenic walk for you and your pet... I have even seen deer while on the trail... on the other side of the fence! Check this place out if you are a member, and remember to pick up after your pet!

A great place to bring your pooches and let them have a blast with other dogs! Even though being a members only dog park, the dog owners that I’ve met are friendly and easy to talk to. The dog park itself is bigger than it looks, so there’s plenty of running room for your furry friend. Though on or after rainy days, in the “All Dog” section of the park tends to be very muddy: so be ready to bathe your dog after a trip! The small dog section of the park is grassier and, of course, smaller for the smaller dogs. I would definitely recommend this park to those who are looking for a place to bring their dogs to burn some energy.

You need to buy the dog pass(good for a year) at a feeders supply store to get the key to unlock the gate. This location has a nice little path around the dog park to walk and get away from other dogs. It has a small dirty pond that the dogs can reach so be careful there. They do have a dog rinse station but bring your own shampoo. I don't know much about the little dog side.

7-2018 I dont actually go to the dog part but I do go to the playground which is ok. There is a problem with people letting their dogs roam around without a leash by the park and let them use the bathroom. Um that is why there is a sectioned off part for dogs. I dont know if their dog will attack. They also will walk their dogs by the park, again why there is a sectioned off part for dogs. I dont want my kids running around and there be dog droppings around the playground or possibly attacked. I will say the port a potty is almost always clean. Update: It is august 8th 2019 and we have not been at this park in awhile. I felt uneasy coming here after hearing about that man learking around the other part of the park. I uploaded pics on how over grown the park is. The grass clearly gets cut but the park itself is not maintained. Dissapointed to say the least. Clearly no one pays attention to these reviews but I thought it couldnt hurt to post.

This is one of the best dog parks I have ever been to! We are traveling and ended up staying in Louisville. This park was less than a mile from our hotel so we decided to take our dog over to tire him out before the trip! Great walking path, lots of trees, plenty of water for the dogs, the other dogs were friendly, and so were the people! Great place, highly recommend!

I love this dog park more than any other in Louisville as it has a good mixure of shaded and non shaded areas as well as having plenty of room for my dogs to run free. One of my dogs is black and can over heat easily in the summer so this helps out a lot. Most of the other dog owners that come to this park are polite and friendly to other dogs. I have yet had any problems with another dog owner or their dogs. This place is kept pretty clean as most people clean up after their pets. The Louisville Dog Run Society does a great job a keep this area safe and secure for the pets that come and visit. Thank you Louisville Dog Run Society for providing such an awesome spot for me and my dogs to hang out and kill some time.
