Amazing dog park. Duke and I go round and round. Generally nice dogs. Squirrels like to tease if you are into it. Duke likes that. Big trees here. Big overgrown area. Small dogs area., if you are into that. Pick up your dog dudu in bags provided and put in poop tank, not garbage. Duke loves it.

Best dog park I’ve ever seen —— my veterinarian daughter from DC was most impressed! Trees, grass, well-maintained, & best of all, a separate fenced area for little dogs! What’s not to like?

Wonderful dog park just down the road from my house. You have to hit the sweet spot time for when all the dogs come and that changes daily. But when you do it’s phenomenal. I love the dogs, and my dog can stare at squirrels as she pleases

Great place for big and small dogs because they are separated. My little dog loves going to socialize with other dogs and people. It is fun to be outside and watch the dogs play. Great stress buster after work. Your dog will love it.

Park is big and open, lots of trees and also a fielded area. Smaller section for smaller dogs is nice. The latches to the entrance gate are usually broken which could let a dog out if you're not watching. They should have gated the dog poop drop inside the park, everyone bags their poop which is nice but they leave it laying on the picnic tables 🤢.

City offers daily rates, good for us as we were passing by. Large, with mowed and tall grass sections. The dog poop collection station is inconvenient but really cool.

All the things you’d look for in a dog park. Nice natural setting around large mature trees with shade. Waste disposal and restroom. Dedicated space available for smaller dogs. The general space available to all dogs is very large and you’ll always find your own spot in the park. Parking is convenient too. Located right on a wonderful trail to Easter Lake. Well maintained and clean.

It's a very nice dog park. For some reason there are no trash cans to put the dog poop bags, so everyone is just bagging poop and stashing bags next to the trees. I don't mind the concept of having to pay a yearly fee to get to use this... but why is it only people who live in Des Moines are welcome to pay for this right?

My dog loves it here. Keeping squirrels properly stored in oak trees is a very important job.

Well maintained, close to trails and larger park. Separate areas for smaller and larger dogs. Rest rooms, poop bags, water, disposal, and parking. Plenty of trees and space for dogs to investigate. Picnic benches for people to relax and watch the pups.

Nice sized dog park. My dog enjoyed running through some of the tall grassy patches. Has a restroom on site but did use it. Has a water fountain and plenty of bottles around for water. Has picnic tables available as well.

The best part of this Des Moines park is that it has two segments, one for small dogs and one for all dogs. It also has an actual restroom not just a port-a-potty. If you have a small pup, or shy puppy, this park is perfect for you.

Ewing was relatively clean and has an interesting slope design to it, so your pup will wear out faster due to running uphill consistently. The back half of the yard is flatland, so easy for people to walk around on. The only takeaway from here is there's no bins to dispose of waste bags inside the fencing. Just one way out in the parking lot upon entry.

THIS PARK IS AWESOME!! There’s tall grass I can run through, and poop in so Mike never finds it. Why’s he always picking up my poop anyways, freakin’ weirdo if you ask me. There’s like a BAJILLION trees, and all the trees have like a GAZILLION sticks so that’s like a bajilliongillionzillion sticks right? I’m pretty good at math so I’m pretty sure that’s right. One sad thing is there’s like no trash cans in the park, so Mike kept walking back to the entrance and I thought we were leaving-but then we didn’t. And then he walked back again, and my heart raced cause I thought we were leaving, but we didn’t. And then we walked back again, and we left! I really don’t like it when we’re indecisive like stop playing tricks on me. Anyways, cool park, lots of shade, nice grass, really big, 10/10 would park again.

Visiting from out of town, was looking forward to letting our good dog play and stretch his legs.. Found out the gates are locked and permits can only be purchased m-f Office hours. The more we travel Iowa, the more it seems Iowa hates dogs.

We had a beautiful day at the dog park this weekend. We hit just the right part of the day and there were 12 little guys in the small dog park (for 20lbs or less). So much fun!!

I can't really say if the Park was good or not. You need to purchase a year pass to enter the dog park. We were just looking for a dog park so our dog could get out and run and play some. We don't live in that area so purchasing a year pass and waiting up to 10 or so days for the information to enter the park wasn't really an option. (Would have been nice to know that ahead of time). We've been to a bunch of Dog Parks where there's an option to purchase a day pass at the gate. This explains my one star rating.

Large dog park with 2 separate areas. There is one designated section for small dogs and one for large or small dogs. There is a flush toilet available if needed. The city does a good job of maintaing the area. You just have to watch out for doggie bombs, since there are a lot of people that do not pick up after there pets. There is plenty of parking. You also need a code access the park. The code is given to you once you buy your dog park pass from the city.
