I accidentally stumbled upon the park. I was walking in the neighborhood with my dog. Went in, was clean. People and dogs were friendly. Good vibes.. I'll definitely be going back with my dog. The only downside was the fountain didn't work for the dogs. Dog-friendliness 2 enclosures, 1 for big and the other for smaller dogs.

Im thankful to have this nearby. My dog almost always finds dogs to play with. Its nothing fancy but works and the dog knows the way

It's nice but it's kinda boring for the dogs not enough water or bags for poop. Alot of people don't pick up their dogs mess. But it's nice to have the dog stretch their legs

They appear to have stopped maintaining it... broken doors, stinky trash piling up, ground is getting tore up. Used to be much better. Nice people, dogs and location, still.

Park is small small and the spaces between the fence panels are big enough to let a small dog through.

Excellent place for a dog walk. Lots of construction right now.

Nice park, but in the smaller side. It's a beautiful neighborhood, and probably a good place to mingle with fellow dog lovers

Overall, this dog area is not really created with dog's or people's comfort in mind. It's the place you take your dog if you live nearby because they need to be social for a bit. The good parts about it: 1. It has the option to separate small dogs from big dogs if needed. 2. It has a drinking water fountain that usually works. 3. Nearby you can grab a coffee/tea at Snow Bunny or Ovation. Both cafes love dogs. The ick parts about it: 1. The ground is a type of coarse sand/gravel that smells terrible on hot days. It's pretty easy for dogs to get the sand in between their paws and kick it around in one another's face. I see the drainage but I don't know how it is cleaned. I hope someone responds to educate. 2. For people it's not ideal to sit and enjoy watching the dogs play. There is no shade and the enclosure is metal. The sun beats down on the area immediately. There are a couple of benches inside but there is something about sitting with your shoes in that sand/gravel that feels so harsh. 3. Dogs don't really have a lot of room to run so if more than a few dogs are in there it can be pretty crowded and tensions run high between both people and dogs. If you're looking for an area nearby where your bigger dog can run out some energy - I would go to Wallace instead. It's in front of Chapman Elementary. ____ The Pearl has always needed a good park for dogs. It wouldn't surprise me if dogs outnumber people in the district. It would feel so much better with some type of shade installed and some softer form of ground.

Water shut off during winter and spring. During summer, the water area is flooded and a literal algae bloom. Dogs dig holes Unneutered back yard breeder dogs picking fights After 5, too many pent up all day dogs in that small space. Then usually someone with a chuk-it, a kid with a bike, a kid with a bag of chips, everyone glued to their phone so poop everywhere Muddy during rainy periods Reports of stomach issues after visiting AM and midday, if the park is empty or only a few dogs are there, it’s fine. As work lets out, the dogs get let out Playground On other side of park. Not within view. Restrooms Fancy park bathroom on other side of park Dog-friendliness Very dog friendly Picnic area Multiple concrete benches, and when there’s not a fest or construction, the oval is so much fun

Not a large dog park, but there are two separate fenced areas designated for large or small dogs. Entrances are double-gated, with trash cans inside both areas. Water is only available on the large-dog side, but people are cool enough to pass a bowl over the fence for a fill-up. The ground is all dirt/gravel, but is level and well-maintained. Not shaded in the middle of the day. Only one bench on the small-dog side, but a few on the large-dog side. Both sides can get pretty busy at peak hours, but paid street parking is generally available nearby, so this dog park is frequented by both the surrounding condo-dwellers, as well as folks within easy driving distance. Overall, a nice, clean place for dogs to either socialize or simply sniff about at their own pace.
