Ford Island Dog Park

This is one of my favorite dog parks to go to. Fresh water is accessible (hose) at all times to refill the jugs or water bowls for your pet. Nearby, there is a sidewalk to use to take a nice long journey by the water with the pets, children on bikes, and strollers. Playground No playground for the children near the dog park. Dog-friendliness Great fenced-in area. This dog park has 2 areas for dogs to run, explore, and do their business. They have a smaller section (still a good size) for 35 lbs and under and then a huge area for larger dogs to chase Frisbees, Balls and other toys. Most importantly they have a hose to fill the water jugs that are their or water bowls in each area. Picnic area Their are no picnic tables at this location.

While the main water fountains don’t work, there is a spigot on the right corner of the entrance to refill bowls/ jugs. Best not to come when it’s over 80’F. There isn’t a lot of shade. The only shaded bench is in the small dog area (35lb or under). Small pen doesn’t get much use so if you come in the morning when no one is likely there you can get a shady spot. Best time to come around 5pm during peak time if your dog is well socialized. Good people. Even better doggos. If you have any grocery bags, bring ‘em and tie them to the fence. Anything helps.

We come here often and just about every day if possible rain or shine. It's a huge enclosed dog park for small and bigger dogs. My only issue is that I wish their fountain worked and there was more shade/trees. Other than that it's not very busy here at all and you'll find a lot of space around.

I love that there are two sections for this dog park, smaller dogs separate from the larger dogs. Great view. My problem is the water faucet for the dogs has been broken for a few years. And in the summer the grass is very dry and hard. I also worry about erosion at the far end, by the water. And the gate between the two sections needs to be fixed. My chunky monkey squeezed between the gap to go play with the smaller dog. Not good if there's an aggressive dog in the mix.

Nice dog park. Lots of space, and a little dog park as well. There isn’t much shade, and only one water spigot by the entrance to fill up water bowls. There aren’t usually doggy bags so make sure to bring some. There are some nice views at this park.

Never busy, plenty of parking right next to it, and big enough for our Belgian to open up and run. The only drawback is there's no shade in the big dog area. They do have water hoses hooked up and bowls there for you to cool you pups off, though.

Good amount of space. Small and large dog areas. Large part has minimal shade, but small area does. Fountains don't work. Benches in both areas.

It's a dog park. Plenty of water bowls for dogs. The community is strong and happy to invite your dog to play. Infrastructure is terrible, parts of the fence ziptied, some of it eroding out to the sea. Dog-friendliness My dog came to play but I stayed to hear about recent dog drama

It's has space for the dogs to run and play, also has a nice few buuut not alot of shade in the large dog park, one trashcan when entering or exiting, no restrooms, water doesn't work, and no bags.
