I chose this as my wedding ceremony venue and loved it. Such pretty flowers and trees, there's a perfect gazebo area for ceremonies. We even went back 2 days after our wedding to walk around and take more photos.

I love this park very much. There is quite a large area that includes golf courses and a children's playground, walking paths and comfortable benches for sitting, tennis courts and incredibly beautiful trees that make this park a very cozy place to relax. There are always people in this park...jogging, biking, playing tennis or golf, walking dogs, or just strolling around enjoying life. In the spring, this park turns into a fairyland of flowers... you will be amazed by the large number of flower beds with various types of flowers. This is a very popular place for photo shoots... babies, lovers, weddings and other photo shoots can be seen in this park. Autumn... is an incredible amount of colorful leaves on the trees, on the ground and in the air... It is immediately clear that this park was created with love...for nature, for coziness, for comfort and...for yourself...

The golf course and ongoing construction really ruins the park for me. Very easy for someone to get hit by a golf ball and golf courses are devastating to the local ecosystem. The small natural trail along the river and the flower garden are the saving graces for me. I just wish they weren't expanding the golf course and there was less trash everywhere. Restrooms They are always dirty and smell like urine.

I've had a life long love affair with this park. I visited as a child, my child played little league here, we had our vow renewal, a kids birthday party and baby shower in the Sears and open air pavilions and taken countless family photos in the display gardens. I also worked with Input Fort Wayne to do a story on neighborhood muralist Suzi Rhee who painted a beautiful mural on the suspension bridge. (GO SEE IT) The paved walking path is spectacular and wide allowing for large groups, bikes, roller skaters and dog walkers to maneuver around one another without any issues. The wooded walking paths allow for a more serene and rustic experience. The playground is large and spacious and has some shaded spots. The playground equipment allows for a wide age range kids to play. This is truly one of the best parks in Fort Wayne. Playground The playground has a variety of equipment that is suitable for a wide age range. It is located just past the tennis courts and adjacent to the golf course. Restrooms There are restrooms at the playground are pretty rustic but are open late spring-fall normally. Picnic area There are multiple picnic tables around the playground. There are also two open air pavilions that can be rented through Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation. Many times there aren't actually reservations during daytime hours so people use the picnic tables if they are open.

VERY disappointed. Rented Pavilion 3, spoke with Greg Maintenance Manager and was assured his crew would be there to clean Pavillion and reprogram lights and leave a trash bin for our Sunday Rental. THIS was not the case. The place hadn't been cleaned at all, trash, cob webs, dirty seats, tables and leaves everywhere. It definitely wasnt the caliber of the other 2 pavilions. We had family bring in brooms and a leaf blower to clean and had to dispose of trash leftthere ourself and clean all tables. We had surveyed this Pavilion a week before and there had been NO change in cleanliness, so no excuses for 'oh, its public and got dirty after cleaning.' We went and bought trash bags for our trash, which we left neatly stacked in the pavilion since there were NO trash bins as disclosed. The lights did kick on, after the fact, but were not reprogrammed to turn on as we needed them and were told theyd be reprogrammed for our event to kick on sooner. VERY disappointed in our Parks and Rec dept. I've requested our money back since we put in the labor of cleaning and readying the place. And I want Greg to know his crew definitely did NOT do any work on the Sunday before the event as he told me, they would be there to clean on Sunday morning before 11am. Voicemail was left as well. This is posted to warn others and make them aware before booking, so they dont spend extra time, energy and resources cleaning. You dont get what you pay for, sadly. Restrooms no toilet paper in womens stalls except for 1. Dog-friendliness Dog poo on grounds and not disposed of properly. Picnic area very dirty.

Very nice trails make it great for a morning walk. Connected to the Foster Park Golf Course, which is perfect for walking through and enjoying the sunrise. A couple of really nice bridges, a playground, and some paths right on the river to enjoy the water. One of my favorite peaceful places to go in FW!
