Franke Park

Nice run track. I was glad that a little rain didn't hamper racing. Thanks for the volunteers for preparing the track.

The team that keeps the Franke Park mountain bike and hiking trails does a phenomenal job!! Keep the dirt trails!! This is one of the best things about living in Fort Wayne! Thanks!!

We went to see the holiday light displays. There were a lot of them! All were very nice and a great variety. The routes were marked and easy to navigate. Very enjoyable.

Not sure why so many other reviews are for the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, but my review is about Franke Park (behind the Zoo).... If you plan to hike the trails, pack bug spray, wear long sleeves, and make sure you use your GPS to navigate the trails, as they are not marked well. Otherwise, the playground and lake area are excellent and trails are very secluded for being in the city. It's a great place for you and the fam to reconnect with nature!

If you love fishing, biking and a great spot to enjoy a picnic! This is the place for you! The bike trails are endless with so many different choices to choose from beginners, to advanced and experienced! Plenty of areas to outdoor grill and enjoy the relaxation under the shade after you're done! Playground Yes there is one! Dog-friendliness Absolutely dog friendly! Quiet little park. Lots of trash in the water when I went left over from people fishing but it was quiet and nice little. Hideaway place.

I always come here to Mountain Bike (mostly because there’s no where else to do it!) but I love it! Not complaints, the volunteers always keep the trails in pristine condition, without all the people that work on the trails I’m sure it’d end up being a disaster.

Very nice place to hike. Several trails can be combined to make a shorter or longer hike. Very clean, and maintained trails. Very near a park and children's zoo. More of an urban area but tucked back away so it feels like you're in the woods

Caught some crayfish here for a biology class at PFW. It was awesome.

Get there early to secure tables for a picnic, the park gets busy on weekends. The playground is big, colorful and modern. Lots of walking trails through the wooded area. Pavilions need reserved months in advance.

So so pretty! A perfectly foggy morning with nobody else around. Got to enjoy a view from the middle of the pond thanks to the available deck, and got to make friends with some of the baby geese. Enjoyed a seat on the waters edge when I got surrounded by the little guys, which was such a serotonin boost! A gorgeous sunrise shining through the flowers allowed for a very pretty photo op and truly added to the experience.

If you’re visiting the zoo, find time to explore the park too! The trails are so much fun to hike on. Love being so close with nature. I’ve seen lots of wildlife such as deer, ground hogs, squirrels, many different birds, and even a fox on these trails. Just make sure you pop off to the side when the bikers appear, as sometimes they’re coming around a corner too fast to be able to avoid a collision if you don’t.

Been coming to Franke Park since I was a little girl. Even now as an adult I very much enjoy sitting in my car and watching the geese and ducks, and lookout towards the water. So peaceful. I come here especially when I need to take a moment and be present with myself. It's located in with the zoo and has a BMX bike track towards the back of the park. Loved the trails - Late May so a little muddy but not terrible. Great elevation changes but tight when bikers come around those curves. I feel like they need a bell or something to warn you too. They’re quiet. It doesn’t feel like you’re in the city so a great hike to “get away” without driving too far. The creek was low but neat to see water. Can take your dog if on a leash.

Lots to do here at Franke Park. Fishing at Schoaff Lake, hiking and biking on the various winding paths through the woods, there's a BMX track, a playground, and also the Fort Wayne Childrens Zoo right next door.

Took my kids here for there Christmas lights a was able to enjoy hot chocolate a see Santa. Even took a family picture with Santa completely free.

There is always something new to see. From the mighty lion and wildebeast to the tiny frog and praying mantis! I LOVE this place!!
