Best dog park around Draper! We love how outdoorsy and unmaintained it is - feels like you’re in the woods (when it gets enough rainfall). The retention pond is fun but beware of algae growth in the summer!

The larger area is overgrown, a tree is falling, the path is broken in several places, there's thorns, very rocky path, not good for dogs who run a lot. The small dog area is fine and clean and well maintained but the rest really needs to be re-done. I only took my dogs here today because I needed a less crowded park. This park is not well known, and many people don't come back and/or only use it because it's the only option at the time. It does have agility equipment, but i'm worried about it being surrounded by woodchips. Dogs can get splinters too.

This park is really great at certain times of the year. In the early spring and winter, it is far too muddy. Mornings in the summer are awesome. It feels like an easy mountain trail walk with your dog. I have included pics of this kind of experience at this park. I really love that kind of thing and am grateful it's offered in the community. Other reviewers have mentioned things like lack of grass, thorny weeds, and "nothing down below." The park is clearly under-maintained. It does appear as if its vision was never realized because money was "needed" elsewhere. And that's really sad, I think it could be amazing if its vision were realized. As far as the multiple complaints of lack of grass, I don't understand this one. As dog owners who take their dogs to dog parks, we should not expect nice fields of well-kept lawns to be there. Period. Please don't expect cities to pay for sod to grass up these parks. That would be a gigantic waste of money. In fact, I have been to quite a few dog parks in the valley, and this dog park has the nicest grass in their grass area. Ha ha. As for "down below," there is one table with a covering and probably 3 garbage cans and two poo bag stations. It's sufficient to me. It does drag sometimes that the water for drinking is so far from this area, but it's not a bad walk up to the top at all. This part of the park really should be left to the bigger dogs. The little ones could get really injured by the rocks, hills, and giant weeds and thorns. Playground There is a playground just outside of the dog park, about a 3 minute walk away. You cannot observe your children from the dog park, however, so take note of that. Restrooms Restrooms are near the playground and baseball diamonds, about a 2 to 3 minute walk from the dog park.

Great park with lots of space for you and your dog to explore. There is no water so you don't have to worry about waterborne illnesses which are common in other dog parks in the area. We met lots of friendly people and this is a nice place to bring your dog off leash.

I know the park is new, but it really needs grass. It was seeded last fall, but not blocked off so I don't think a lot of the seed will grow. It's been torn up pretty badly by the dogs playing. Hoping for the best in the spring. Lots of space for the dogs to run and play. Seems pretty safe as well.

Best dog park! My dog weighs 80 lbs so small dog parks don’t do it for him. He likes wide open spaces and this one is just that. He can run, roam, and have fun with the other dogs there.

Big, interesting terrain, and nice amenities. This park has so much potential, but as it is, the lower part isn't safe. The lack of landscaping and the Russian olive trees are a real hazard for paws. Be careful out there. And don't forget to BYO water in the winter when the city water is shut off.

It really is a great sprawling dog park with rolling Hills, dirt trails and trees to run around. There's lots of room for that running. Unfortunately it's a ghost town every time I come. Playground Yes Restrooms No Dog-friendliness It's a dog park Picnic area Yes

I LOVE the size of this place, but the pokey plants are a huge no go. I'm genuinely trying to grasp what Draper city was thinking when making this place. It almost seems they ran out of funding half way through and called it good. We usually go to dayland dog park and it's hard to believe the same city manages these dog parks. The risk of hurt paws, the weird dirt mounds, and the lack of dog waste stations/garbage cans really lowers this places raring. 2 stars for the upper grass spot.

The lower part of this park is dry and not maintained. There are thorn bushes and Russian Olives with long sharp thorns and weeds everywhere. Doesn't fail that I'm pulling something out of my dogs paws when going here. Fingers crossed I don't end up pulling out a tic. There's no water down below. So plan to carry water for your pups so they can stay hydrated. The paths are black gravel which burns my dogs paws so they're forced to walk in the weeds and thorns. I gave it a second star only because the upper part of the park has a grassy area that's fenced, has a place for people to sit that's shaded and there's access to water for your pooch. Stay up above for your puppy's sake.

Great new spot for a dog park. A lot of the park is a gravel trail to walk around with a lot of dirt for the dogs to run on. The whole park covers about 3 acres to the northwest of the baseball diamonds. There is a sign at the entrance of the parking lot pointing toward the dog park. Right near the entrance inside, there is a water fountain for the dogs and a nice grass area. It's a decent size patch of grass with a nice picnic table and mini gazebo. 1 other gazebo down within the park. If you've been to the other Draper park, you've seen the new agility style obstacles. They are the same exact ones at this park. Overall, great place to let the dogs around, new dog parks are always welcome!

As another reviewer mentioned, the lower part of the park is dangerous. My dog had a 4-inch Russian Olive Tree thorn go completely through his paw after some off-the-path play. We had to go to the animal ER to get it removed. The top is decent, with a small enclosed play area and agility course. It seems irresponsible to me that the creators of the park just fenced off a piece of land and left plants and trees that are dangerous to dogs within the play area. Hope they can provide some improvements to this park. In the meantime, our dog will play elsewhere.

Great space for dogs to run around! I love that it’s a natural area with a path they added, makes for nice walks while the dogs play. Not typically busy which is also very nice. Only con is I wish there was a larger grass area, but the space is great overall. Definitely Recommend

I had a wonderful time at this dog park! The separated grass section was perfect for my puppies to relax. The picnic tables, water station, poop stations, and dirt trail were all great additions. The cute agility course was a big hit with my dogs. Everyone we met, both people and dogs, were very friendly. Just be mindful of the spikey weeds. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable visit!

I was surprised there was no one there, but it was quite overgrown and plants look spiky. Beautiful view and a fun obstacle course. Also a good water station at the entrance, but nothing further down.

Large dog park with two picnic tables. Plenty of room for your dog to roam.

Dog owners beware!! The openings in the grates are big enough for your dogs legs to fall In and easily get broken. Metal grates with smaller spaces need to be put in Before more dogs get hurt.

If your dogs like trails and exploring, this would be a good park. It looks like the city just took a rural plot of land, fenced it and then added a little trail around it. It is pretty big so lots of room for dogs to run and since it is undeveloped our dogs liked exploring the nature. The two times we have gone there hasn't been a lot of dogs and it's pretty tucked away behind baseball fields. However, our dogs love exploring here and there is a lot of dirt for our little boy to play in too. Can't wait for the city to add a few more features to make it really nice.

I like this park for the purpose it is trying to serve, but I agree it can be dangerous, as it lacks completion. The biggest issue I have is with dog owners. Please, if your dog has fear/aggression don't bring them to a dog park!!!! Deal with the aggression and fear first. My 1.5 year old puppy is cool to play with any dog, he can even deal with dogs annoying him, but a dog wanted to get into it with him the other day, and the owner had no clue of the aggressive signs her dog was sending. Don't spoil the parks with your insecure pets. Be a responsible owner! Absolutely spoiled the park experience for us.

Beautiful view of the mountains. Lots of different terrain for dogs to play. Did notice not everyone picks up after their dogs. But had plenty of trash cans and they provide poop bags there. Benches and tables where there, fully fenced in. Not a bad spot to take your dog.
