Garden of the Dogs

Needs to be better maintained and users need to be more responsible. Lots of poo and lots of holes where people just let their dog have at it. Also, lots of toys left behind.

Be sure to check BOTH gates. One was left open and we didn't know, thank goodness we noticed before one of our dogs went too far. I only gave it 4 stars because there isn't a source of water for the pups.

This dog park is poorly maintained, and has had a broken gate for more than a year. In addition, patrons do not remove dog waste and the park is smelly and littered with droppings. This could be due to the fact the the poo disposal station doesn't have bags in it. Sad to see the government spend money on something and not take care to make sure it is well cared for.

Very clean & our dog loves it tthere! We have a Border Collie who needs room to roam...Garden of the Dogs gives her just that without her getting really dirty!!

It’s in Peterson Space Force Base so it is limited access. Usually there are some larger dogs and there is no separate area for small dogs. So make sure your dogs are socialized. It’s a medium size area and clean for the most part although some folks don’t pick up after their dogs. Overall a nice area with nice people who are used to being held accountable. The park is fine, but there is no parking for cars. We have a basset hound. We could walk her there, but she would be too tired to play once she arrived. Also, a water fountain for the dogs would be great! Our last duty station had huge dog parks with water fountains for the dogs. It was great because we didn't have to bring our own.

Doesnt always have doggy bags but it is an owners responsibility to pick up poop and it's rarely ever done. They also really need to put in a water bowl for the dogs. I bring water most times but it would be a great addition.

This is one of the nicest parks I’ve been to. Everyone is very respectful with their dogs and kids have a playground next to it so that they aren’t getting bumped by dogs playing. I always park on the red dirt outside the entrance door, I see gov and pov on there all the time. The dogs think it has the best smells, and a couple spots to dig even. Excellent park

Our only complaint was there was no water tap for the dogs. If it's a hoot day, just bring some for the dogs. Oh, and all the benches they have, none are in the shade! Other than that everything was pretty nice. Nice neighborhood and people using the park. It's on base so you need access. Nice for the dogs to run around and get some energy out.

They have obstacles for the dogs to jump thru, jump on or jump over. You do need a military ID or pass as this is located on Peterson AFB. Playground Playground next to the dog park for kids.
