Very nice experience here. It was my first time, and they had El Día de Muertos festivities, music, and cool activities.

There was a block party tonight and it was awesome. Had a great time. They gave out free orange vanilla cakes, vitamin waters, and had a dj, and a drone show at the end. Everyone was dancing and I had a great time! 0:21

Highly recommend this park if you’re living downtown and just need a place to unwind or do some work outside or anything of that nature. I had a great time walking around after work and grabbing coffee at the starbucks. There are many fountains where families often bring their kids to play inside of. Lots of open space for a downtown picnic or just open space to lay out in the sun Playground No designated playground but there are fountains kids can play in Restrooms Yea there are restrooms Dog-friendliness Great for dogs but no fences so need a leash Picnic area Not a designated area but many flat open spaces +10 6 Share Response from the owner 2 years ago Thank you so much for visiting us, Lucas! Glad you were able to walk around and get to know the place.

Park is beautiful well maintained. Kids section is gated and has only one big slide and some climbing obstacles. There's a parking garage underneath Grand Park $20 max, but $3 or $4 every 15 mins (not too sure). Playground Clean. One big kid slide. Plenty of obstacles to climb. Picnic area Clean, large, beautiful.

I recently joined the July 4th festival at Grand Park and had a mixed experience, resulting in a 3-star rating. The festival itself was fantastic: I enjoyed the delicious food, vibrant atmosphere, and lively stage shows in front of City Hall. The presence of many security personnel made me feel very safe. However, my experience on other days was quite different. I noticed a significant number of homeless individuals around the park, and it saddened me to see them displaced due to the festival. As someone who recently moved to the US, I’m still learning about the culture and societal complexities here. While Grand Park offers great events and a sense of security during festivals, the daily reality for many people nearby is starkly different. My review reflects this contrast, and I apologize if I’ve misunderstood any aspects of this issue. 0:19 0:19

I'm guessing people who work downtown use this multi-level park to take a break from the office or for lunch. The park has a great view of City Hall and it's set up like no other city park I've stumbled upon. It has multi-levels that are divided by city streets. You walk up the stairs, cross the street and then walk into another section of the park. This continues until the top section where there's a nice fountain. Great spot for photos with the fountain and City Hall looming overhead. There's also a Metro station right between the sections. Lots of green areas to sit in. Not too crowded. Cool city park. It was such a great time there with my kids and husband.

To crowded. Long line to order long line to pickup food... Ended up just getting a sample of Mole and chip. 40 minutes wasted ..Next year have a booth that sells just mole to take home and place to buy a refill

Came on a somewhat rainy day, but still a beautiful park with great views, and plenty of places to relax and take things in. There were some protests going on that day at City Hall, so we watched from a distance.

I found this place to be a good stopover while working around downtown LA! Grand Park is a wide open urban park, good for taking in prepared food to eat, joining co-workers for a break and join friends for a game of soccer. It’s also a good area for festival style concerts and shows! There’s interesting displays of flags and there’s a tribute memorial honoring the military services that have served our country! There’s a covered area with chairs and tables and a well maintained restroom. Grand Park is next to the famous LA City Hall. The park is easily accessible on foot for those who work in the area, as well as attendees to local functions, events and commitments. While Grand Park is free to use, area parking will be expensive for any length of stay. So a stop off just to use the park may have be considered, if to justify the expense! Lastly, the ongoing plantings of arid tolerant gardening is appreciated! I would’ve liked to have seen more tree shade and naturalness amongst the neatly sectioned spaces. Tho I guess it goes with the territory of limited urban space here and the tradeoff of not having hiding places for vagrants, with whom this park seems to be freed of. I felt sad for those who were displaced, although mindful of my visitors concerns of going here.

Gloria Molina Grand Park is a very beautiful and modern park located in the heart of Los Angeles. It’s a great place to relax, take a walk, or just enjoy the outdoors while being surrounded by the city. The open spaces are perfect for families, and there are areas for kids to play, places to sit, and plenty of room for events and gatherings. The park is clean, well-maintained, and dog-friendly, so many people bring their pets for walks. There are restrooms available, and the picnic areas make it easy to spend a nice day with friends or family. At night, the park is often lit up beautifully, and sometimes there are concerts, festivals, or other community events that make the space feel lively and welcoming.

The nicest place in los angeles during the day but like all of la don't go out after 6pm to random places. Stay well within local defined relative safe areas. Literally, la is one side of the road is fine and the other your in danger. You can't just wander around without local knowledge.

I've been going to Grand Park since its grand opening in 2012. That day I remember seeing actress Debbie Allen who I knew from the TV shows "Fame" and "Grey's Anatomy". They were also handing out flyers for Cirque du Soleil which we ended up going to. Since then, I've been to several other events including New Year's celebrations and protests in front of City Hall which is right next to the park. For New Year's, they project animated lights on City Hall leading up to the countdown turning the tower into a huge clock. Meanwhile DJs, live music, and food trucks keep everyone entertained. Once the clock strikes midnight, fireworks start going off and the grand finale tends to be a crowd pleaser. The event itself is well organized and safe with areas gated off so security checks can be made and there are plenty of Porta Potties lined up knowing that the onsite Starbucks wouldn't have enough toilets. However, it's the leaving that's an issue. Since everything is gated off, it leads to a bottleneck and people crammed shoulder to shoulder marching slowly off like cows being herded. I wish they would take down the gates as soon as the event is over to make exiting quicker and more efficient. Parking in the garages is even worse. The wait to leave takes as long as it took to get out of Grand Park itself. The issue of leaving is bad enough for me to swear off ever going again. Both Grand Park's benefit and flaw is that it's more of an open space than a regular park dotted with trees. The benefit is that is does allow for large gatherings like those for New Year's and protests. The flaw is that if you want to just lay out a blanket and lay under a tree, you're regulated to the edges where those trees are lined. Most recently, I went to a public planting of a Miyawaki Forest, which is a small space consisting of various native plants. Prior to the planting, Native Americans were invited to speak, do blessings, and perform traditional dances. It was both entertaining and informative. There's also something satisfying about knowing that I can now visit the park and visit the 2 plants I had planted and see how they've grown. The event itself went smoothly, but I overheard a couple of people who worked on the event say that it was a lot of work. They did a good job since they made it look easy. At this point, Grand Park has been a big part of my life from moments of celebration to moments of unrest. The park's motto is "The park for everyone" and in all the years that I've been coming here, it has proven to be just that. Restrooms A few restrooms at the onsite Starbucks. Dog-friendliness Dog friendly with posts providing free plastic poop bags. Picnic area Pink benches and chairs and open grassy areas.

Grand Park hosts many events. It's a great place to meet for marches, rallies, holiday venues,. I went to the "NO Kings" rally there there were thousands and thousands and thousands of very kind, polite people. A stage was set up (in most events there they have a stage area) where speakers can rally the people. Spread information. NAMI meets there for their annual Mental Health March for understanding. It has entrances on Grand across from city hall. Entrance on Hill street near the courts. Usually bus service is quite easy even with changes to schedules during events. Fourth of July is held there as well. Dia de Los Muertos just occurred at Grand Park. And you can just sit around and enjoy the day or lunch in the park. Playground I'm not sure. Restrooms Generally, during large events which draw hundreds or thousands the city supplies portable toilets and handwriting stations along the sidewalk below the park. Its not ideal however I am always grateful for attention to this detail. Truthfully I'm mostly so immersed in the event I haven't paid attention to the amenities at Grand Park. Dog-friendliness Not to my knowledge. Picnic area I don't believe there is a picnic area. The park seems rather more functioning as a meeting place for large crowds. Again. I'm not sure what is permanent areas are there. I'm always in a crowd, focused on the event. I haven't paid attention. I like going there it seems safe. 15 years going there no worries.

Grand Park in Downtown is a nice, clean place to walk with friends, family, or children. The park consists of several levels, the nature and well-groomed areas are impressive. The special feature is the benches, tables, and chairs in pink. On Christmas Eve, a Christmas tree is set up on the upper level. There are decorative fountains and green lawns. The upper level offers a view of the Civic Centre Mall. 0:05 0:05
