Good Dog Hotel + Bar + Park

When I first started coming to Good Dog & Bar I noted how unique and cool the facility was. I felt reassured that all the dogs were spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and heath and that staff watched the dogs play nicely and would if needed to break up any aggressive play (which never happens!) But as I went more and more, I realized that Good Dog & Bar had become a second home for my dog and a afternoon lounge for me as I can sit back and watch as all the dogs play (as I usually have to occupy my dog to get him to play.) I know most all of the other dogs names by heart, I know the people and I really connect with the staff since they love my dog! Overall, this isn’t just a place to bring your dog, it’s a dog community! Our new pup loved her first day at Good Dog day care! The staff was so fantastic with her, and so professional and kind to me, a nervous dog mom. I just can't say enough good things about the people here. Also, the dogs all seem to be really well behaved. Great spot.

I was away on vacation for about two weeks, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place or team to care for Mellie. I received daily pictures and updates, and it was clear she was loved and well cared for. When I picked her up, she seemed even more socialized and happy. The atmosphere and facilities are fantastic. All of the staff are attentive and make for a safe experience for people and dogs, alike. My dog always has a good time, and the people there are friendly, as well. We especially love trivia nights with Abby, Emma, and Rowdy!

We've been coming to Good Dog for quite a while and we absolutely love it! We have two dogs that we bring 2-4 times a week, and every now and then put them in daycare. It's a great large turf area with some pools and things for them to climb/jump on. They also have ample seating for the humans as well as TV's. The service is always friendly. Melissa & Emma helped our anxious fur baby with daycare and helping break some of his separation anxiety. Nick, Vic & Abbie have been so kind and helpful with the park. They are attentive, reliable & friendly. Everyone is a joy to be around & we are so thankful for Good Dog & all the crew!

Good dogs go to Good Dog!!! My dog loves this place, whether it’s for daycare or to play in the dog park while I hang with friends and have a drink- 10/10 recommend! They do a phenomenal grooming job! Champ girl also celebrated her 1st birthday with a party with friends - easy to coordinate with Good Dog staff!

I seriously cannot recommend a place more. The staff are some of the kindest, most attentive and friendly people I’ve ever met. My dog Winnie is obsessed with each and every park ranger because they have all built a relationship with her and it shows!!! I couldn’t say enough good things about Good Dog! My dog, Winnie, loves it here! She goes to daycare once a week, gets boarded from time to time and we love checking out the Bar + Park in the afternoons/evenings. Every person that works here is so kind and hardworking. I absolutely love bringing my toy poodle, Chanel, here! The staff is so sweet, patient, and genuinely cares about the dogs. Chanel is very shy at first, but she warmed up so fast and always comes home happy, tired, and perfectly cared for. The facility is super clean, safe, and has plenty of space for the dogs to play. I feel 100% comfortable leaving her here for daycare. Highly recommend to any dog parent! Good dog is my border aussie, Coco’s, happy place!!!! The atmosphere is perfect & the amazing people that spend all day watching over them could not be a better group! The sweetest people ever, I feel so safe leaving Coco with them all day - truly such wonderful people! Coco is always so happy at the end of the day!! WE LOVE GOOD DOG!!!!!!

I was so impressed with Good Dog Hotel + Bar + Park! From the start, the service provided by Ellington was top-notch. She was professional, detailed-oriented, and so kind. During my furbabies stay, I was updated daily with photos and a video. The communication between myself and the staff (Clint) via text messaging was outstanding. This was the first time my furbabies have been boarded, but they seemed to enjoy every minute of it. I think it did help to start them in daycare first at least a few weeks prior to them going there at a facility in Atlanta (where I live). I literally cannot say enough nice things about this company. What stood out to me most was when I first came here, another patron was bringing her furbaby and they were excited and running towards that gate to get in. I went with my mom to pick up her furbabies at another boarder literally down the street from Good Dog and when we parked, an owner literally had to chase down his furbaby because they bolted out of there- seemed to me that the dog seriously wanted to escape, Additionally, the staff at the place my mom boarded her furbabies a couldn't identify her pets, had the wrong collars on the her babies,... but looked super "professional" because they were wearing scrubs. My mom paid almost 2-3x the price I paid for my furbabies for boarding AND daycare (her's was only 1/2 day daycare while mine was full day) for the same amount. I really want to gate-keep this company, but they do such an amazing job and love your furbaboes like you do. Every employee there was so friendly and professional . If there is not space at my local daycare/boarder, I can reach out to Good Dog to see if they have availability. If you're local to Birmingham, please check then out and consider getting a membership, they have such cool and innovative events. We love Good Dog! I took my pup a few times, and she loved it so much that we sprung for the membership. The park is a really great value, and I love the amenities. Being covered, my doodle can burn her energy off even when it's raining or the sun is blazing hot! Additionally, there's a large selection of beverages for sale at a decent price. It's so nice to have a place connect with other dog owners. The staff members are so kind and professional. It's a great comfort to have staff on hand to make sure the park is clean and dogs are playing safely. I know my dog is in loving hands whether she's in the dog park or at day care. Edit: After using Alyssa's grooming services a few times, I have to mention how amazing she is! Alyssa is great at accommodating the owner's preferences and what would be best for their dog. Millie always looks fresh and tidy. Alyssa tells me what I'm doing well and what I could work on when it comes to Millie's coat. You can tell how much she loves dogs, and her work is top notch.

No better dog park OR bark rangers ;) out there! But really. 12/10 experience all around, every single time me and Fen are there. Fen has severe anxiety, but you wouldn’t even know it seeing him at Good Dog. Coming from Pawms Pet Resort, we knew about the park early on in the development phase. Easy decision- we went all-in and paid for the annual membership before it even opened in 2022. Been there ever since and there to stay!

Discovered Good Dog today and had such a great experience! The facility is very clean and very comfortable. Our dog had a great time, we’ll definitely return!

This is my dog’s favorite place! I always feel great about taking him to Good Dog because there are always Bark Rangers in the park to make sure all the pups are being nice to each other. The staff is caring, kind, and friendly — I love talking to them, and I love how much they talk to and interact with Finn. I know he’s in good hands whether I drop him off for daycare or bring him to the park on the weekend.

Milo loves Good Dog and all the nice workers that know him by name when he walks in. Best way to get out all that puppy energy, while also socializing him with other dogs and people. He’s attended daycare on multiple occasions (wish I didn’t have to be at work so early so I could take him everyday) and is always worn out from playing all day when we pick him up, which we love. He’s also had his nails done there, where they turned his sharp daggers into the smoothest little nails that no longer scratch us. We love Good Dog Bham!

This place is great. Large open space with lots of activities for the dogs. Everyone and their dogs were friendly. Good selection of beverages including beers, sodas, and wine. Attentive and friendly staff. Our dog was a little shy her first time out, but the socialization was worth the cost. Good Dog should be named "Best Dog" 😀 The facility is unique (large covered outdoor area), but what really makes it a great experience for us is the team. We have been going to daycare and the park since opening. My lab can run with his friends and come home tired. The team really tries to get to know each dog's personality and does a phenomenal job of managing the pack. We also have boarded at the new hotel and it has been a great experience. We had the best time on our first visit today! The staff were nice & informative, the play facility is well equipped with plenty of seating, & the dogs were all very entertaining. Prepare to be loved on multiple times by every dog there! My only suggestion would be another set of leash hooks on the other side of the entrance gate. The ones there filled up fast & people had to bring them inside. I noticed a lot of the dogs snatching them from their hands & running thinking they were toys (Exibit 1: the guy in my firsr picture whose leash The Welcoming Committee kept trying to grab. 😆).
