Hardberger Park - Dog Park (West)

Great trails and nice dog park and it also has a really good play ground for the kids. It also has basketball courts and open fields for football, soccer etc. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of safety. I think emergency checkpoints or something similar should be installed ever since that lady got killed some yrs ago at this park.

Great place to bring your pups! I bring mine to the dog park on my days off to release energy. I always meet kind people and get to enjoy all the dogs at the park. It's nicely shaded, plenty of spare doggie bags for clean up and stone seating. Our favorite dog park!

I used to really love this dog park but it has been going downhill lately. A lot of owners don't pick up after their dogs and are leaving trash around. It is one of the bigger parks for dogs, I just wish people took care of the space better.

My new favorite dog park, plenty of shade, some places to sit, and connected to the trails in hardberger. Great for a day out with the pup, big or small! This is probably one of the largest grounds sectioned off for "small dog breeds" and they do a great job keeping the place well maintained

The People are very friendly and their Dogs are great. Not 1 issue with any of them.

Great park in San Antonio with the land bridge it make a perfect space for nature am people the native beauty of plants. Great place to visit when you come for the rest of the beautiful cultural experience of San Antonio. Playground Playground is shaded for the hot Texas days. Year round play is available. Restrooms Restrooms are clean and safe. Dog-friendliness Very dog friendly

Love this park ! It's so awesome to go to and theres so much stuff to do! I didn't go to the dog park itself since I have no dog lol but I did get to enjoy the park with my niece and walk the trails with my family. Also would be a cute place to have a picnic since theres also a little field where you can take your dog too since I saw a girl there on the field walking her cute husky I guess you can do it too!!!

Great park for dogs. Separated into small and large dog sections. No grass. Just mulch and good space for small dog area. Water fountain works. Bags for poop available.

Best dog park in S.A. that I have visited! Plenty of shade, and even the small dog park is of a decent size! The large dog park is very spacious and gives dogs plenty of space to run around, and space for owners to take a little walk inside the dog park. The large pup park has doggy bags, trash and water fountains for dogs. Plenty of space to toss and fetch and plenty of agility stations. The small doggy park, also provides a water fountain, trash and doggy bags. This small dog park is also of a decent size compared to most dog parks. A few more different agility stations would be nice to have for the small dogs. In my opinion, it's the best small dog park, since there is actually shade and space for the small dogs to run around.

Took our big and little pup with us. They had a pretty good time. Large area, seemed pretty clean (there were a few bags of poop that weren't thrown away) they could use more trash can vs. the 1 and only 1 up at the gate. Besides that though it was great. People seemed really friendly, the dogs they brought were behaved. They have a small area for small dogs, but if your little one can manage you can bring them to the big yard. Mine was with her big brother and did great.

This was at least my second visit to Hardberger Park, and boy was it worth it! From the informative Ecology Center to the nearby Nature Garden to Skywalker Trail, one can get a great sense of our local ecology and its natural splendor. I can’t wait to return! The one area where I struggled was the Nature Garden. For the life of me, I could not figure out how the signs were arranged among the plants. Maybe it was just me!?

Plenty of shade, a water station, and a large area makes this dog park worth the drive even if you live 35 minutes away like I do!

I do enjoy taking my dogs to this park. It’s a big park with lots of trails to walk. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because people tend to not pick up after their dogs or just leave the dog bags laying around on a trail. The trash cans that are at the entrance of the dog park area are always a sting to the nostrils

Great park, although benches are limited when there’s a lot of people and dogs at the park. Very spacious but filled with trees/wooded (there’s a lot of shade). The ground is mulch, there’s water available at the front. Very diverse crowd both in ethnicity and in age. The dogs that play here are very social. I took my German shepherds here and they loved it. I highly recommend it.

Great place for dog exercise and training. Clean and well maintained. Your furry friend will thank you!
