Hoover School City Park

Good park to let kids run in. There's no super close cars and it's really opened so you can always see your kids. Good park. My kids love that place. ☺️

This could be a great inner city park. It is not being well maintained and going down. I have not heard from city of Salem yet regarding how I can help. EDIT: 5/25/21 CoS contacted and going to provide basic supplies for upkeep. Need a lawnmower and weed eater stil.

It's okay. We typically try to go as early as possible because we don't care for the teens or young adults that hang out later in the morning/afternoon.

Nice park. Limited Parking but had toddler size swings, equipment, and bigger kid playground equipment, basketball setup, and what looked like floor hockey! Pretty clean, no restrooms that I saw. Playground Nice playground with bark chips as the base. Toddler and bigger kid equipment. Restrooms None that I could see Picnic area Had a picnic shelter with tables.

Cute little park for the kiddos to run around and enjoy themselves. Had the dog on the leash with us. Play structures are nice and sturdy. The swing set is very sturdy; I swung in it along with my kid, who was thoroughly amused that I could swing with her.

Great lil park until dark !!! Stay out of the back parking lot unless u want some shady times !

Great park to visit. Although it needs a parking lot and restrooms right next to it. I think the city should come up with the cash to extend Ellis Ave. thru to Hawthorne Ave. and put in a parking lot right there next to the park. Also a new sidewalk along the street. They could also redo the park path closest to the street along with some lighting and trash recepticals and some benches to sit, like they have at Weathers street park behind Toy's R US

A wonderful park with a great variety of playground equipment! The place to go if you want privacy for your family picnic, there's usually only a few people.

While it is a lovely and clean looking Park, my concern is for children being allowed to play during a global pandemic. I think that it might be just a little bit too soon?

Its a park. In the north side of Salem. the grass is cut though! Kids are all over the place too. They seem to be loving it. Open/spacious area. It's perfect for just chilling. Not a lot of trees though. Just to let you know

Good place for peace and quiet and to relax, not many people although today me and a friend saw a kid pooping in the grass. The dad didn't pick it up.

My son and I visit here weekly. It is a nice park behind his school with two play areas, a dog area, and tennis courts. The tree branches are still down after the ice storm but that's the only negative. Our poor park got hit hard.

It was kinda dirty. I saw a lot of homes people there and even witnessed a man peeing and then on a different day I got to see a female do the same thing. It’s pretty disgusting but the park was decent if you pretend that stuff didn’t happen.

Nice quiet park... kids loved it and I can relax. It's far from any busy street.. it's pretty secluded. My kids ran free

The park is kid friendly with a great playground and the tennis courts are clean and inviting, but the sidewalks need cleaning and repair.

Nice little park. We go for our dogs walks. Dog-friendliness Our dogs love this park. Fenced on 3 sides so safe for dogs.

Great park when its cleaned up well. Always have to check the ground for needles and stuff before i let the kids play though
