Horizon Dog Park

What a great place! Nitro had a lot of fun playing with all the other dogs. We went again today. Lots of dogs lots of fun

Compared to Chaparral dog park, Horizon dog park is shocking. Its too small, has no separate area for small, passive dogs, hardly any grass, but lots of lose dirt, too little shade. Did not see water fountains. Large dogs were too aggressive, were jumping on me n almost ripped my dress off . Never going again with my small dog

Needs more TLC. The grass is almost non-existent. Super dusty. No separation between small and large dog areas. Needs a small water fountain for dogs. Not much flat area. I'm sure it most flood when there is rain.

I love the stock park because it’s very close. The people are very friendly and the dogs are fun to hang around. There are not that many crazy amenities as it’s just a really small and simple dog park. Dog-friendliness Water, poop bags, and toys Picnic area One or two picnic style benches

The biggest issue is the city of Mesa and their lack of maintenance and closing schedule during the early summer... If they wanted to Mesa could make it great... But they DON'T been going there 20 years. SOS...

This dog park was honestly pretty boring for as nice an area as it was in. Mostly dirt, little to no grass, water fountain is broken, 5 gallon (Home Depot) bucket for dog water was filled with slobber, debris and algae. It’s a nice place for your dog to pee & poo and that’s about it. But it would probably be safer for your dog to go potty on the outside of it, as dog owners here do nothing about their dogs’ behaviors; as most dog parks are notorious for.

I get nervous going to this park. There is no small and big dog areas, all of the dogs are together. The times I have went I saw aggressive behavior with no owner intervention. Half the park is dirt so expect to wash you dog after. The size is quite small for how busy it gets. I go here as a last resort.

There is a woman who brings her unfixed dog in HEAT to this park. This needs to be addressed. It is not the first time I have had to leave as soon as I arrived due to this dog and her owner.

Horizon dog park is a great place to bring your dog for some open play. It is a very large park, allowing for ample running around. There are picnic tables to relax on in a couple of trees to stay out of the shade. There are not any section off places for big or small dogs so beware if you have a small dog there.There is a handicap accessible ramp to walk down to the park all in all a great dog park in the neighborhood. Playground There is a playground nearby but not at the dog park. Restrooms There are bathrooms nearby but not at the dog park. Dog-friendliness Yup, it’s a dog park Picnic area Picnic tables at the dog park and better picnic areas nearby at Horizon Park.
