This place is awesome! We stopped down on opening day to get some coffee and let our husky Zelda play. The coffee was great and the off leash area is clean and secure.

Stopped by for a coffee - I don’t have a dog and it was great! Next time I wanna try the beer.

Great location to hang out, have some drinks, and eat with your best friend. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The outside dog park is spacious

Our favorite place in Pittsburgh to bring the dog and hang out. Added bonus of getting to pet all the other dogs too! Everyone on staff is lovely and attentive, and even helped us throw a birthday party for Kona. The food and drinks are delicious, and represent a great selection of local businesses. 10/10 would recommend

Hound Haus is a wonderful place. All the dogs are amazing and so are their humans. Our pups love going. The space itself is thoughtfully laid out and the food and bevies are delightful. The staff is incredibly sweet and attentive. They also have fun events often that are a blast!

This café is truly a gem! I really appreciate how thoughtfully they’ve designed separate spaces with dogs’ safety in mind. The staff are kind, the music is great, there’s a spacious play area for dogs, and the drinks are delicious. I only wish I had discovered this place sooner. It’s incredibly dog-friendly and also a great spot to get some work done!

Great bar, great music, and great place to take your pup on a nice day with lots of shady spots. Super clean and the food/drink window is perfect for the indoor/outdoor split. Large enclosed space and water if your dog likes to splash. We will be coming frequently!!

No kidding, I told two people recently that EXACTLY this kind of place needs to exist. AND HERE IT IS! A fun, friendly place to sit, hang out with dogs and people, and get a drink (coffee or beer, depending on the time of day -- or not?). The staff is amazing, and the facilities are perfect for humans and hounds alike. I've got a big pup and there's plenty of room for him to run; there's also a smaller dog area for those little friends.

Nice new business that caters to dog owners. Limited food menu but they also have coffee, beer & alcohol.

Lili is literally Bao's favorite human ever here, but the other human staff are fantastic!!!! So so welcoming and the vibes are very comfortable and cozy. Their hot chocolate is Delicious!!! Very understanding with my dog's medical issues and assisted where they could. Such a wonderful respite for me and my dog when we have the time & energy to socialize!

I love this place! Mornings are more chill and match my dog's energy. He's picky about vibes (don't ask me- he decides who's cool), and can usually find another dog to run around with. There are people outside who monitor things if you need to run to the restroom or order food. The place is spotless and everyone is friendly. The off-leash area is large and covered with wood chips. There is also a small dog area, but I haven't seen anyone really use it because all the dogs seem ok with each other. They have both outdoor and indoor dog-friendly seating. I went this morning (a chillier one) and they already had the outdoor heaters up and running! I'm excited to have Hound Haus as an option, especially going into the colder months.

I'm not a dog owner, but I welcome any and all cafes in the area. Even sans pup, HH is a lovely spot to spend the afternoon. I'd come hang on the patio just to watch dogs at play. Nice selection of drinks and eats (they're still getting the menu together), and adult beverages as well. Best part for me, they're open till 8:00. Nice to see after COVID killed later operating hours.

Such a friendly staff and such a cute and wonderful vibe! You don't need a dog of your own to spend time here, so I recommend this lovely space to anyone looking too have a nice evening!

We came here passing through on a roadtrip and didn’t realize that they were closed on Mondays. The team very kindly let our pup run around for as long as she wanted and gave her water. The facilities are lovely, the vibe is stellar, and you can tell the staff love dogs! Would come back when in town for sure!

If you are socially awkward bring a human friend with you when you visit so you feel more comfortable, I felt a bit out of place, but my dog had fun. I wish there would have been more dogs there but there were more than I expected with it being winter. Overall, it was a good experience. My latte wasn't very good though. The dog park area is large and clean. The patio has a heater it could stand to have 2 or more additional heaters. It would be really cool if it had a fire pit. I wonder if they could put one in the small dog area that no one uses? Any way it is worth checking out!

I love anywhere I can take my furry son and get a drink. Service, options, & hospitality to me and Alpha were top notch. I felt safe to enjoy my beer and bagel without constant eyes on Alpha because of the security provided by the attendants AND other patrons (added bonus everyone & their pet children were awesome.) Will definitely be back. Only con- large mulch was not friendly for the bigger paws, will probably break down more over time/use so honestly just something for the pups to adapt to.

We went last night for the first time and then back this morning. I love this place. Havanese sandwich and Bloody Mary were great. And my dogs both loved it.

This is my new happy place: dogs, chai, and wifi. The owners and staff have all been fantastic, are active about making sure the dogs are getting along well, and are just generally super-friendly and supportive. The other dog owners have all been respectful and attentive, making sure to both let the dogs play as well as keeping track when one gets rambunctious or nosy. I love that this place exists, and have made it a regular part of my week.

Amazing place to have a chill social environment with your dog. Hound handlers were consistently paying attention to all dogs and we felt like the space really allowed for us to relax and socialize but keep an eye on our dog the whole time. Excited to try out the coworking space and more of the drink menu

Hound Haus – East Liberty’s New All-Day Hangout for You and Your Pup Just opened in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood, Hound Haus is a creative new venue that combines a coffee shop, bar, event space, and off-leash dog park—all under one roof. Whether you’re looking to get work done with a coffee, wind down with a beer, or let your pup burn off some energy, this is the spot. I stopped in and tried their maple vanilla latte, which was super cozy and comforting—perfectly balanced and not too sweet. I also had a warm muffin that was absolutely delightful. The drinks are crafted with Commonplace Coffee, and there’s a rotating selection of prepackaged sandwiches, salads, and baked goods through Catapult Culinary available all day. The space itself is bright, modern, and immaculately clean. You can sit inside or out on the dog-friendly patio, where pups can roam while you relax. Dogs do need to be registered at the front check-in station and must be vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and at least 4 months old. Hound Haus offers daily, monthly, and annual passes—but you don’t need to bring a dog to enjoy the vibe. It’s a welcoming place for anyone to sip, snack, and socialize (furry friends optional). The owner is incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about creating a space that’s both functional and fun. Whether you're a dog owner or just a dog lover, Hound Haus is worth a visit. Open Tuesday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
