Loved the park and the tower! Easy to get to and park our vehicle. If any improvements were made, I'd say a bit more signage with directions. We found our way regardless and recommend a visiting.

Some towns have a small park to play in, for for sure Montpelier has several of those but it also has Hubbard Park. Because it is annexed to the town which is small to begin with, it is a central attraction for those living in Montpelier and the surround areas. At the center of the park is a tower that allows you to see amazing vistas of the surrounding mountains. Every season is different. There are picnic tables and facilities for grilling. There is road access but many people from the town just hike up. To get to the tower you have to park then hike, about 10 minutes is you are capable. I have trouble walking and use a cane and I made it in about 20 minutes. The air in Hubbard Park is so clean and refreshing. The trails are wide and cleared. It is an amazing place. Take your camera as there are many photo opportunities.

Beautiful park! Peaceful and so much to look at! I loved how so much natural art was incorporated into the park, and there are trails for all levels of walkers. It is an easy walk to the tower which is an impressive structure! Its so awesome that its free, and it hasn't felt crowded in the several times I've been there. Dog-friendliness Very much Picnic area Nice big picnic gazebo area

Went for a walk here with my dog and it was fantastic - so many trails to choose from! Also stumbled upon the Enchanted Forest - how cute 🍁🎃 …

Really nice hike with views of Montpelier, and the surrounding mountains. Not too long, fairly steep uphill hike, but the views are reward enough! Hike down to the State House on Saturday morning to reward your hungry hikers with a treat from the farmers market.

Beautiful park full of trails just minutes from downtown Montpelier. Finding the Stone Tower is a bit tricky and would benefit from clearer signage. But the walk in the woods was wonderful. Dog-friendliness Clearly marked leash-free and leash-on areas.

We love Hubbard Park. A jem of forest and trails overlook our State Capitol Building, lending themselves for walks, hikes, runs, picnics and the peace brought by being in wilderness. Trails are well marked and there are clean outhouses along the way. There's a new handicapped trail and an old fitness trail and a Tower at the top! Picnic area There are many very nice places to picnic.

Great park for a nice walk in the woods. Lots of dog walkers, well-maintained main trail the size of a road with a well marked side trails. The tower gives a nice view of the surrounding mountains.

Great local park with miles of hiking trails. Dog friendly. Hike to the top and see a historic stone observation tower that provides great views of the Forrest and mountains beyond.

Absolutely love this tower. Several easy hiking trails lead up to the tower around the Montpelier area near the Capitol.
