Two Huge play areas for the dogs! Separated small and large and not too busy! Our two dogs loved it

The dog park is fine on its own but no one here puts their dog on a leash to walk across the grounds from the parking lot to the dog area. We were attacked at the Mill Creek park in the parking lot by an off leash dog (I had to get a rabies vaccine series bc of it.) People think their dogs are the exception to the rules. Can't stand half the people at this place bc of it. Then they get mad at me for suggesting they follow the rules.

Although I really hate to give such a great dog park one star, I hope that my review will get fellow dog owners' attention. A few weeks ago I took my dog to play and run off some energy right before 11 am. We were there for about 45 minutes and when I returned, my car had been broken into. The other people that were in the dog park with us were robbed as well. The parking lot is out of eyesight while in the fenced in area. We have visited the park several times before this occurred, but I never felt unsafe until this day. When I filed the police report, the officer informed me that break-ins are frequent in that area. Apparently the criminals will be watching to see if you go into the dog park or on the walking trails and will take advantage of you. I used to love going to this park, and hate to give it a bad review. However, I do want to raise awareness and ensure that everyone stays safe!

Nice size park. Unfortunately, owners had their larger dogs on the small dog side. So, my little guy didn't get to run around free. Also there is a gigantic mud pit you have to trek through to get to the dog park.

There was only an enclosed space for small dogs. The fence for big dogs was far from being complete. Seating was precarious, Park is tucked away it seems to be forgotten. It says if it was an afterthought. Gravel parking, nearby is something that reminds me of overpasses but maybe trenches for water? I can't recall exactly but I didn't seem dog friendly. At least did have running water for the dogs to drink. Playground For small dogs Restrooms None Dog-friendliness It would not recommend for bigger dogs since they don't have an enclosed space. Picnic area No

Two large fenced in enclosures. One for big dogs and one for small dogs. Has the good gate system that keeps dogs from escaping. Water bowls, a kiddy pool, jumping bars, tennis balls, and plenty of seating provided. Very nice place and so far great people!

Could use a water spot for the dogs but lots of room for them to run! And not terribly busy

Best dog park around!!! Very quiet and always clean. It's in the middle of a neighborhood witch helps it stay uncrowded I believe.

My dogs love this park. Alot of space, 2 equal areas for small dogs and large.

Great grassy dog park with access to walking trails and a creek. My dogs love swimming here, and the pet owner community is welcoming and respectful.

Tl;dr: decent dog park with some really annoying people. The dog park itself has two equal sized areas for large and small dogs. They are entirely fenced in, but the fence is only 4 ft, which many dogs can jump easily. There are multiple trash bins and places for the dogs to get water. There is also a wash station, which I appreciate greatly. There is very little shade and no creek within the fence for dogs to cool down, so make sure you are ready for that. Overall, the dog park is a place to let my dogs off leash to run, which is what I wanted. What I didn't want is for stuck up people to be at the dog park. I used to go to the Astro Dog Park in South HSV and the people there were generally great. We all talked and understood dogs and the dogs loved to play with each other. At the Creek wood park, we found it weird that none of the dogs were playing with each other. We understood when our dog tried to play with another dog and a woman (not the owner) started yelling at us, saying "Somebody get that dog! It's chasing another dog!! Do you know how dogs work? I guess not! That chasing means it's trying to dominate the other dog!" The actual owner of the dog and I were happy that the dogs were playing, but this woman's life is apparently so carefree that she came to the dog park to police people and cause problems. The other owner left after that altercation with that woman. Other people were really touchy about the dogs playing too, I don't know if it's because of that woman or because they genuinely don't know how dogs play. Maybe it's a Madison thing to not let your dogs play? But if I have too many more experiences where my dogs are expected to sit at the park and not do anything here, I definitely won't be coming back.

Great dog park. Very spacious and nice benches and other amenities. Regular community of visitors and bags are plentiful. Water bowls are in good condition, and access to water is very good. Fencing is in quality condition. Separate space for large and small dogs, but we let our small dog in with the big ones.

This area is quite muddy after a rain. Some owners (like anywhere) are not responsible about aggressive dogs, so we tend to go off-peak times. On the plus side, each section is HUGE and dog always comes home tired.

Good park for dogs to get out and stretch their legs. My dog always leaves tired. Dog-friendliness Very large area for dogs to run around in, has some nice hoses to clean them off when you’re done.

Terrible place. No one picks up after their dog. Fence is not secure. Wide open in spots. This is not a dog park. This is a way to lose your dog .

Best dog park hands down. Always other dogs there for my dog to play with and the open field is big and they provide a hose area and buckets to fill up with water for your dogs Playground Nice playground for the kids too

Great neighborhood location for excercising our puppies. Two fenced parks/runs maybe an acre each. Water bowls, water, benches and usually doggy poop bags (or visitor provided store bags). On out visit it was @ 5 pm and the large dog run got a little crowded (8+ dogs) but all were well behaved. Even the owners were pleasant. Large kiddie park next food also.

This is a nice one. There are two large areas, fenced in, and a nice creek. When it rains a lot the whole area gets really muddy.

Dog park itself is decent but the owners of large dogs generally use the small dog area. I’ve had a few issues where owners say their large dog isn’t a fan of small dogs (so why are your dogs in the small dog area). Even if their large dog isn’t small dog reactive a large 60 lbs dog is more than capable of hurting a 15 lbs dog just by playing. I wish there were park rangers to keep an eye out for people breaking the rules like other parks I have visited. This park especially I have had problems at in the Huntsville area and have seen other small dogs get attacked or hurt by peoples larger dogs that shouldn’t be in the small dog area. I believe most owners use the small dog area as the big dog area can get muddy and they don’t want their dogs getting in the mud. I wouldn’t suggest this park if you have a small dog. This dog park has running water , dog bowls, and trash cans. There is only one shaded table and a few benches in the small dog area. During busy days / times there may be no seating available. The dog park is behind the playground and the paved path to the dog park can get very muddy and sometimes impassable due to flooding. I usually only come here in the summer months after it hasn’t rained in a few days due to flooding. The park that the dog park is in is nice and has a long paved walking path with a steam running through it. Picnic tables are available and public toilets. I always see several people playing disc golf out here. Beware if you have a reactive dog as a lot of people let their dogs run off leash outside the dog park.
