It's a great place for bird watching or photography. Especially during spring time, the birds are out for all to see. I've seen families of deer here as well and that was super cool. I love going here for photography, it never disappoints. Restrooms The restrooms are nothing special, but they were clean. Which is not always the case at other places, so kudos to them for that.

This place is a real nice hike around nice water features that is home to many kinds of birds. Used to be a quary and the city did a great job filling it in and making a beautiful place to visit and not an eyesore.

A bunch of trails were closed off due to erosion. It was also difficult to find out friends because we didn't know there was an upper and lower parking area. It will probably be very lovely in the spring. The signs also said no dogs allowed, but a lot of people had dogs. Dog-friendliness No dogs allowed

Love this gem of a place. Small one mile walk through a beautiful path. Ducks and nature are awesome during this workout. I go here almost daily. Few people, easy course, couple up hill spots to challenge me. So lucky to have this lake close to home. Enjoy!

A decent place to walk around but not particularly pretty, perhaps I went at the wrong time of year but i didn't find it interesting. The trails are all right next to the road so you hear the cars pass you by. The dirt trail isn't a complete loop either so you do have to get onto the sidewalk right next to the road to continue walking.

Boise has more than 90 developed parks. Last week I visited Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve. It’s a 53 acre park that serves as a sanctuary for birds, bats, and animals. If I had known about the bats, I would’ve visited sooner. This park has stocked ponds and fishing. I was there for almost 2 hours. All of these photos are taken in sequence with the intention of giving you a sense of what it’s like to walk through the park and loop around to the sidewalk that runs down Maple, then re-enter the park and exit. I’ve even included a couple of short videos. Enjoy! Restrooms There are two unisex bathrooms near the entrance of the park.

I have been here and walked about half of it. I took my sweetie this time and we walked the whole reserve. There are no basketball 🏀, ⚾️, soccer ⚽️ or any kind of games here. There is no playground equipment of anything here for young children to play on. This is a reserve of nature, seeing all kinds of birds 🦅 because this reserve has some serious lakes here you will see in my pics. The ducks 🦆 and the geese 🪿 loves this lace year around. The trails here are not just flat which means you can get a good cardio domes here. Come on and try this and or bring your mountain style bike 🏍️ and enjoy it here as it is very peaceful.

This was a short but busy little hiking area. I went on a Wednesday morning and the parking lot was empty but I saw quite a few people while out. The trail is an easy one, with options to go a shorter or longer route. The views are beautiful especially if you do not have time to get out of the city and just need some quick “away” time. I love it here. There are restrooms at the entrance and directions posted throughout the trail. Restrooms Clean and functional

A peaceful natural escape right in the middle of town. The wetland park offers pleasant walking paths, quiet scenery, and a chance to enjoy nature without going far. A great spot to relax, unwind, and reconnect with the outdoors. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Restrooms Restrooms are easy to access and clean.

You don’t arrive at Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve — you sort of slip into it. One moment you’re aware of roads, schedules, noise; the next, you’re surrounded by water, reeds, and the quiet understanding that nothing urgent is happening here. The layout feels intentionally indirect. Paths curve instead of pointing. Sightlines open slowly. You’re encouraged to wander without efficiency, which is surprisingly rare. I found myself stopping often — not because there was something dramatic to see, but because the stillness kept asking for a little more attention. Birds skim the water, reflections shift, and time loosens its grip just enough to notice it. What stands out most is restraint. The reserve doesn’t try to entertain you. No signs yelling facts, no forced viewpoints. It trusts that if you slow down, the place will do the rest. And it does. Calmly. Patiently. People here move differently — slower steps, quieter voices. Even thoughts seem to lower their volume. It’s the kind of space that doesn’t demand gratitude but earns it anyway. Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve isn’t a highlight-reel destination. It’s a decompression chamber. And once you realize how valuable that is, you start finding reasons to come back. Playground not its forte Restrooms rarely Dog-friendliness yes Picnic area good options
