Nice trail system for hiking and biking. The lake is beautiful, and a nice place for folks to fish. Blue Heron may even be spotted along the banks. If you're looking for a good hour or two of trail walking or running, but don't have time to make it all the way to the mountains, this is a very nice alternative. Note...no restroom/out house facilities.

Nothing spectacular, but a nice walk (or mountain bike ride) in a pretty setting. Nice options for flat or elevated loops. Dog friendly too!

Five stars for the park - 0 stars for the up-to-no-good individuals that hung out in the area near the boat ramp. I read in previous reviews that there were some shady individuals doing sketchy things at this park. The park has good reviews for the most part, so I decided go to for the purpose of kayaking. There were, in fact, many shady individuals that were clearly up to no good. Within the time of me being there, I witnessed approximately seven or eight different male individuals slowly driving around the parking lot, back and forth until finally pulling besides another parked car. From what I could see, one individual would get into the other individual's car parked besides theirs - or they would talk and then both drive off together. I even turned around at one point and, unfortunately, had to witness an old man with his underwear down to his ankles. I was forced to call the police because there were kids around and I did not want them exposed to these pathetic, disgusting individuals. The water was wonderful and the park looked clean. I am looking forward to going back - hopefully this time there will be less, if not none, sketchy individuals cruising the parking lot. Please always be very cautious of your surroundings, anywhere you go - and if you have children, make sure they are close and keep your eye on them at all times.

We had an amazing time! Then we were made very uncomfortable, and had to leave. A police officer stopped as we were getting our snacks. Before I nodded hi, another car pulled up and they both went in the men's 🚻. Thank you for that if you read this review, loved explaining how police shouldn't do this but what this one did was gross. I wish I had a taken a photo. She walked in the 🚻 first or we would have called someone. We spent alot of time here. The other day my daughter didn't want to stay even after i showed her ,he wasn't there. Amazing park truly, we found it and have fallen . We'll go back but We are just a bit traumatized

This isn't the entrance or part of IC king park I used to go to..but this is where maps brought me..right at the dog park.. The dog park is beautiful and clean and there is lots of little trails to choose from..it was so nice and quiet..I did not venture out far enough if this connects to the boat dog area but I'm sure it does

Beautiful trails. I heard there used to be a lot of trash but they cleaned it up. I didn't see any trash there. I went in May and there were tons of ticks. My dog ended up with 15-20 ticks on him I had to flick off, pull off of him. Maybe they could do a possum release there to decrease ticks. There are restrooms by the park/dog park entrance. Seem well maintained. The dog park looked really nice and had pretty views of the surrounding nature, though we didn't go in. I would use the dog park and I'm planning on going back when the weather is colder and there are less ticks.

No real parking lot. Park no longer maintained by knoxville. Trails not clearly marked. As a novice hiker I would rate what I hiked as easy to moderate. Could hear car traffic most of my hike. Not heavily trafficked if you prefer a walk with less people, the few I encountered were very friendly and pleasant. The woods were very pretty. People left lots of garbage at an obvious fishing spot. Water looked very dirty, would not recommend swimming.

We thought it was beautiful. PetSafe dog park was clean.

One of my favorite spots - first time accessing from this side! Some great views and relaxing vistas along the way, can’t recommend this one enough to beginners and regular trail goers alike.

If you want to go for small trails near Knoxville city, this is a good place. There is small parking area and an observation deck but no restrooms. The trails are narrow and usually muddy after the rain.

Area was nice, but I am glad I know how to orientate myself because the maps provided were incomplete, and the trail signage was bad. It was muddy, as typical this time of year and it has a large dog park, but we don't bring our dogs to dog parks. Has potential.

It was a nice trail, would have been more nice if we didn't go out right after it had rained because it was very muddy. We saw one snake, but it was only a little Eastern ribbon snake. When we got back we found a few small ticks. A good amount of trash around the park too. It looked like a good fishing area though!

This park has nice hiking trails, a wonderful dog park, small playground, and restrooms. Playground Small but adequate. Seating available around it. Restrooms Flush toilets. Dog-friendliness Great dog park with two different areas based on dog size. The larger dog area is about 30% into the woods. Well secured with a tall fence. Picnic area Located between the restrooms and playground with around 6 picnic tables.

Very clean park. Didn’t use the restrooms but I did notice a lot of people stop to use them that weren’t going to the park. They would use them and leave which did make me a bit nervous. Otherwise great!

Excellent place for hiking with multiple levels available. You can park at 1 of 2 trailheads.

Nice trails and not heavily trafficked. Good spots along the lower trail to put out a fishing pole and relax. Decently put together side trails and mountain biking trails.

Cool community Park. Enclosed Dog Park included. Lots of trails. Do not use the map at park for reference. Very basic markings. Use a hiking app if you do not want to constantly back track. Otherwise great series of trails for a 1-2 hr run, if you plan it well. Good amount of parking. Playground Yes, with picnic tables. Restrooms Yes Dog-friendliness Yes Picnic area Yes

Nice bike trails with a southern entrance, easier to access than the alcoa entrance. Large dog park and playground with facilities at the southern entrance. Bike trails are great, nice climbs, some flowy suctions, and a few rock features. Trails take less than a half day to ride all of them, google maps has most of them so you don't get lost but they are decently makes as well.

Good place to exercise. Convenient location with nicely maintained trails. Variety of flat, hilly and downright steep terrain which will leave you exhausted. For some reason, Knox County has closed the south entrance which had just opened a couple of years ago.

Had a nice hike with the dogs. We have a dog who is afraid of other dogs, and it was great that we were the only people and dogs on the trail. Trails are well maintained and we saw some lovely early spring wild flowers. We encountered one cyclist, and he was as surprised to see us we were to see him. We will remember this great resource in town. Parking was the only concern. There's not much space in front of the gate, and it says not to block the gate.
