Beautiful dog park that I’ve seen. Large play area completely fenced in with ramps, and jumps, and rocks to climb for our best friends. A water drinking area and doggie bags and disposal area. Very nice setup. I’m impressed and glad Stratford has this near the walking trails of Roosevelt Forest. 3 Share Response from the owner 3 years ago Thank you for visiting and for bringing your best friend!! Nice, wooded dog park in the town forest. Technically the forest is limited to residents only. Mulch and dirt ground. Trash, bags, and water (once it gets above freezing). Separate sections for large and small dogs. The park also has a few agility pieces. Strangely, the park was mostly empty on a Sunday afternoon with nice (albeit chilly) weather

We move away from Stratford, but boy do we miss this dog park. Drive by and actually went for a hike with my Ridgeback as there are tons of trails around the dog park. There is nonotje replace like this in CT That I have seen in terms of the size of this park, and how well kept up it is

My son and I went to Roosevelt Forest to go hiking. Part of the well marked trail system takes one past the dog park. A very nice well groomed place for all dogs to romp and frolic. They have two sections, possibly for larger and smaller dogs. Stratford did a great job after years of planning to bring such a nice addition to the forest. 1 Share Response from the owner 3 years ago Thank you for the kind words! How fun to find us by accident 😉 The park was opened and is maintained by The Friends of Jared’s Dog Park, a 501c3 organization, and many amazing volunteers! We do have an acre for large dogs and half acre for smaller pups. Both sides have rocks/agility ramps to climb and water fountains (BYOBowl). 🐾❤️ …

What a beautiful place! This park is very well maintained and nestled inside Roosevelt Forest. It features large fenced in areas for dogs to play off leash. Including a spacious separate area for small dogs. Each time I've been there, my dog and I were greated by friendly dogs and their kind owners. The owners are very attentive to their pups, making sure the dogs are getting along well with one another. As long as the dog is friendly, all breeds and ages are welcome! Bowls of fresh water are available for the dogs. Free poop bags are hung by the trash cans, making for easy cleanup. Jared's has plenty of benches for the owners to sit and relax in the shade while they're watching their dogs play. There's even an agility course set up for ambitious pups! I've been to dog parks all over Connecticut with my pup, and Jared's is by far my (and my dog's) favorite! I highly recommend it. 🤗🧡 +3 Like Share Response from the owner 3 years ago Thank you for all these stars! 🐾🤩 …

This is a great (and big) dog park! It's double-gated for off-leash dogs. There are two sections for large (30+lbs) and small dogs, both of which have plenty of benches, bags for waste, tennis balls, a water fountain/bowl and agility structures. It is very well-maintained, and the people/dogs we met were friendly and courteous. Hours are dawn - dusk, and there is a parking lot available for those with town stickers (take Peters Lane). It's also available via hiking the blue Roosevelt Forest trail, if you park elsewhere. 5 Share Response from the owner 3 years ago Such a wonderful review! We hope you visit often and bring your friends too! Thank you ✌️🐾❤️ …
