A diamond in the rough nice quiet City park. Bathrooms are dedicated to campers and the 2 washer dryers. Bike path and so much to explore around the area. Kroger’s nearby which is great. Johnny Appleseed grave is located there also. The price is super reasonable. Google it👍 …

Our 182nd stop brought us to Johnny Appleseed Campground for three nights in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Check-in was quick, and maneuvering our 39-foot rig into our generally level, well-shaded crushed gravel pull-through site was straightforward - the interior roads as well as a couple of sites are paved. While there are multiple water hookups per pedestal, we experienced strong water pressure – just be prepared with an extra hose if needed. The clean, generally updated bathhouse and laundry facilities are conveniently located just across a low-traffic street - as a reference, site 42 is directly across the street from the bathhouse. The bathrooms were very nice, featuring two shower stalls (one accessible) with benches and plenty of hooks with nice hot water and strong pressure. The park's location is a major plus: it's less than 10 minutes from downtown, a mile from a large shopping area, and directly across from the coliseum. We also appreciated the spacious paid dog park and the Johnny Appleseed grave, both just a short walk away. Our only minor hitch was the multiple site changes after our initial reservation, which was made 11 months prior. Overall, we rate Johnny Appleseed Campground a 4.3 out of 5 – a great value and recommend it. Connectivity (3 pm): Verizon 520 down/85.7 up; T-Mobile 405 down/17.1 up; Park WiFi 4.84 down/16.1 up; 38 over the air tv channels.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a very nice pull-thru that faces the road. $27 a night for 50amp and water - NO sewer. Friendly staff, paved roads and excellent restrooms. An excellent bike trail from the park goes into the DT and beyond. Great price for what is offered.

This campground is next to a convention center with views of a parking lot, hotel, etc. It is not tucked away as anticipated. We arrived late and instructions were ready for us at the booth. Our site was really close to the bathroom which meant we were right on the street. It's not a busy street but felt kind of weird to have people drive by so much while we're cooking hot dogs. Overall the campground is nice and easy to access, just didn't enjoy the visibility to the city. Restrooms Clean with great space for showers.

Campground near the heart of Ft Wayne. Park-like setting with water and electricity. We stay here anytime we pass through. Good shaded gravel sites throughout but I'd avoid those right along the West tree line during wet weather. Can get a little muddy. The staff are great and the restrooms are large with plenty of pressure. Very tranquil and nice place to see a large variety of very tall old trees.

Johnny Appleseed Campground is a hidden gem, perfectly situated in the heart of town with easy access to grocery stores, malls, restaurants, and all the amenities you might need. While it doesn't offer sewer hookups, the campground provides a convenient dump station and a pump truck service for just $10. The campground hosts, Marcia and Brenda, are incredibly friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand. Although the campground isn't massive, its shaded grounds and comfortable layout make it a great spot to relax and unwind. Highly recommend! Playground No Restrooms Clean and well kept Dog-friendliness Yes.

I walked through this park during my time in Fort Wayne, and it was quite pleasant. There’s good river access, and the big trees provide plenty of welcoming shade. I noticed relatively little seating, but it was a peaceful park. The RV park across the street means there’s some decent traffic, but it’s still pretty quiet. It’d be a good spot for a picnic or to walk your dog.

Johnny Apple seed Festival held every year in mid September is awesome. The vendors are fabulous, both food and merchandise. The weather was great and it's free to go! Apple stuffed pancakes and sausages you will have to wait for if you don't go early same for the steak and chicken roll ups as well as the ice cream and peach cobbler, 😋 yum!

Johnny Appleseed Campground was a fun little jewel we utilized for a weekend trip to Fort Wayne. We were in town for one of our kids sports tournaments. We came away impressed and it was perfect for our needs. We booked way in advance and we were there the first weekend the park was open for the year and it was 2/3 full with other campers. It rained most of the weekend we were there, so we didn't get to do any of the fun outdoor stuff that goes along with RV camping. I wouldn't really call JAC a destination camp, other than the camp, there isn't much to do in the camp ground itself like swim or playgrounds, but there are trails and kid friendly things close by. Fort Wayne also has a lot to offer if you hit the zoo and children's science museum. If you fished, you are right across the street from the St. Joseph River. The camp is right next to the Fort Wayne Coliseum and convention center. This park would be an excellent and affordable option if you were passing through the area and needed a clean and tidy park to overnight. The bathrooms fall into the spectacular category for an RV park. They are a little walk, but a welcome surprise at how clean and modern they were. The camp hosts that were there when we stayed were excellent and very helpful. Restrooms The rest room facilities were excellent, modern and clean. They had laundry services on site. A little bit of a walk from camp, but not terrible.
