Julien Marx Dog Park @ Medal of Honor Park

My pup loves this dog park! Generally, the owners and dogs that visit are well behaved, too! It has doggy pools, a water hose, dog fountains, and is gated for small and large dogs!

This is a very nice park. Our dog is able to run around in the nicely fenced in area. Will definitely return when we need some fresh air. There is also a walking trail close by, that is dog friendly. Please remember to pick up after your pet.

Beautiful & busy dog park! Love the tall trees & appreciate the benches. Separate parks for small and large breeds. Part of a big city park/recreation/sports complex. Will be back!

We visited the playground which was rebuilt a couple of years ago. The grandkids had a blast. The playground was very secure with one entrance with a magnetic lock. Little one could not open it to exit without help from an adult. It has ample seating and was very clean. There are plenty things for the kids to climb, slide and swing on. Sawdust and safety rubber matting was ample and in good shape. We shall return.

Took my 50lb baby there to get some puppy play and the people were all really nice and the dogs there are so happy and friendly. We all had a great time and will be returning. Playground They had a play area for children and a track and trails for people and pets. Dog-friendliness They have 2 different parks one for small dogs and one for larger dogs. They also an area with trails and a track.

The dog park would be great if SOME irresponsible, ignorant and downright cruel "people" wouldn't bring in their aggressive, untrained, attack dogs in an environment of well behaved and good natured dogs trying to play together. All those people who scream to the high Heavens about pit bulls being a good animal need to do something about the immature fools who PURPOSELY TRAIN them to ATTACK. This I have witnessed. There has even been dog attacks on PEOPLE as well as their pets. One dog was even killed. That's just the one I KNOW of. It's simply an awful shame that you must do a "ride by" to determine if it's a "safe day" to let your fur babies play. I, personally, would NEVER EVER EVER bring any animal I cared ANYTHING about to the "big dog side". NEVER. My advice is to proceed at your own risk.

It's time for The City OF Mobile Parks and recreation to do a massive renovation at this park. The restrooms are severely filthy and unsanitary with the strongest urine odors in the entire 36695 zip code. Their's 0 excuse that the city's employees are not being checked to see whether they're doing their jobs properly. You cannot get us the citizens of Mobile to believe that Their's not enough cleaning products available to properly maintain one of the nicest parks ine our city. The toilet fixtures needs to be replaced. The playground stations needs to be cleaned and sanitized. The swings rubber settings need to be replaced die to worn out chipped away paint that messes up our children's clothing. Restrooms They are extremely horrible. You have to wipe your feet once you walk out the restrooms. Don't say Candy Man's name 3 times in those disgusting mirrors because he'll appear 🤥

The people that bring their dogs there obviously don't socialize them enough because the one time I brought my puppy there, one dog insisted on cramming his nose up her butt and so I couldn't even play fetch or anything with her because it kept trying to chase her every time she would run off. So I took her over to the small dog side and the two bichons that were over there immediately tried to attack her As soon as she tried to run around and the owner just stood there watching like she was just cloud watching. I kicked the dogs off, picked my puppy up and left immediately. She had diarrhea after that because she was so nervous she doesn't even like to be around other dogs anymore. I can't go there anymore or to any other dog park now thanks to the owners of the other dogs there. Playground The playground is a nice size and safe. There's also plenty of benches in there to sit so you don't have to sit on the outside. You can sit inside there with your child. Restrooms The bathrooms aren't the best, but then again, what outside public bathrooms really are?

This was our first time in a dog park. My dog did great and the park was awesome. The dogs were all well mannered. The area was safe and well fenced. We will definitely be going back.

Nice park, other dogs were friendly and well behaved. Most dirt areas had some mulch like material covering them.

Perfect park that goes above and beyond my expectations of any dog park. It has a place for big and smaller dogs! My girls love it.

Great place to let the dog out... the water fountain area gets quite muddy. It could use some Cyprus mulch.

I don't have a fog but, I noticed 2 dog parks. One for big dogs and one for small dogs separated. There was a nice area to sit and walk just a small bit which is good if you can't walk long distances.

We love to visit the dog park here. Other furparents are pretty amazing to meet and hang with while the pupper run and play. Many of which are good with you playing fetch and just giving some loves on each others babies. The water fountain for the dogs hasn't been great lately. We do recommend you bring a jug or bottle of water for your dog as a back up.

Stopped here to let our pup run during a LONG road trip. AMAZING! It was just what he needed. Huge area to run, sniff, and pee! Great park, thank you to all who keep it maintained!

Always love taking our dog to the dog park. There are two parks with each one designated for either small or large dogs. Plenty of room for them to run,play,chase a ball or just get out and enjoy the sunshine. Plenty of benches for "dog parents" A water fountain is available for your fur baby as well.
