K9 Hangout Charlotte

After initially going through the training with our dog we now enjoy John Holland's K-9 Hangout on a weekly basis. John and his staff are an absolute must have for us and our Boxer Mina. John has been exeptionally helpful with Mina in regards to training. She is absolutely the most energetic dog we have ever had (and that's really saying something!) and John played a huge part in getting her to where she is today. On days we cannot get to the dog park or out for a walk K-9 Hangout is wonderful. Mina gets excited when we get close because she knows where we're going! I have and will continue to recommend John and his facility to every dog lover I meet!

My Siberian Husky was more than a handful but John and his staff at K9 Hangout accepted the challenge. I no longer hesitate to take him anywhere. The daycare is outstanding! Toby is high energy and it allows him to run and play with his friends. The compassion and quality of care my furbaby gets is well worth the price.

John and his staff have been wonderful with my new puppy Daisy!! I have been so impressed with how professional everyone is, how patient and friendly they are, and what a difference I've seen in just one week. I just took Daisy there for her first boarding experience, and she loved it- this was the first weekend I had spent away from her, and now I won't ever worry about leaving her at K9 Hangout when I travel, because I know how well taken care of she will be. She is also going through training here, and even after just one week, she is so much better behaved. I very highly recommend this place for training, boarding, and day care!!!

John and the staff at K9 Hangout are great. They watch over my St. Bernard who as very specific care instructions. He always comes home happy and healthy.

We take our dog here once a week for daycare and she loves going. They are always understanding when we cannot make it and flexible if we need to bring the dog early. I had this place referred to me by a friend and it has been a great experience so far. Prices are fair and all the dogs seem to be under control, and well taken care of.

I have been a K9 Hangout Charlotte client for almost a year and could not be happier with my choice for the boarding, training, and day care needs of my dog. From day one, John and his staff have gone above and beyond to provide top notch care for my dog. The facility is immaculate and provides a great space to play and train both inside and outside. My dog can't wait to go to "school" each week! It is obvious that John and his staff are passionate about what they do and appreciate that I can fully trust the people that take care of my dog. Both are evident in everything they do. If you are looking for a place for your dog to be loved as much as you love them, this is it!

I couldn't be happier with the staff and results! Everyone there seems to treat each dog as if they have known and loved it it's entire life. The facility is immaculately clean and the service is second to none.

I have not used k9 hangout daycare only because my home/work are not located near the facility. However, John did help our family tremendously. We had a problem child named Honey. It was pretty much an it's the dog or me situation. We met with John on a weekly basis and I could not believe the difference I saw in our Honey! One thing I appreciated from John was that he was flexible. My husbands work schedule is crazy and John really worked with us. Only after a few weeks we started to see a change in honey. She was listening, walking (not pulling) on her leash and actually following commands. If it wasn't for John I'm not sure that Honey would be part of our little family today! Thank you John!!!

If you are looking for first class dog care in Charlotte, K9 Hangout is the place. John is so passionate about what he does and takes the time to understand the unique personalities and needs of each of his doggy clients. His entire staff is friendly, professional, and (obviously) awesome with the dogs. Whenever my dog is at K9H I know he is safe, supervised, and having a blast. I haven't used K9H for training or boarding, but I definitely wouldn't hesitate to do so in the future.

My dog loves going to K9 hangout. He gets so excited whenever we bring him there. Also John is a fantastic trainer. We have an extremely high energy dog, and we had already tried training on our own and with another training group, both of which were going extremely poorly. After working with John, we now have a very well behaved dog, both on and off leash. I would recommend his training very highly.

The trainers at K9 Hangout really know what they are doing! Our boxer mix Harvey was nearly out of control and we were at our wit's end when we first brought him in. After 10+ weeks of precise training, we (Harvey AND us) learned so many phenomenal techniques of timing, consistency, and patience that changed EVERYTHING. We live in the busy Noda area where there are people and dogs everywhere. Harvey is now in control of his energy around others and we have learned healthy ways to exercise and engage him. We love our dog more than ever and now he can be out in the public (even off leash) without any worries. It was not by any means easy. It involved a lot of homework. Yet, having Harvey at daycare for a full day and then one-on-one time each week to work with John about Harvey's training progress was priceless. I would highly recommend this training to anyone who wants a well mannered and obedient dog (and I have!)

Our dog loves going to daycare and always comes home happy and tired. Our dog has special needs and K9 Hangout has never hesitated to accommodate our pup in any way possible. When we adopted our dog he had a broken elbow and John and staff were very helpful in helping us manage his recovery. In addition to daycare K9 Hangout offers personalized dog training. We went through comprehensive off-leash training with our dog and we couldn't be happier with the results. I believe the training/daycare combination was particularly effective with our dog as John and his staff would reinforce lessons throughout the day. If you are at all interested in off-leash dog training I'd highly recommend giving John a call.

I have been taking my dog to K9 to be a service dog for me. John is an amazing trainer, the staff there is friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. big play area for some fun in the sun. i will never use anyone else. recommend them highly. 5 stars from Louie and myself!!!!

I've used K9 for boarding, day care and personal training and I have to daddy that John and his staff have made all three great experiences. I know our dog loves the place and we're lucky to have friends suggest them to us. Their pricing its well worth the quality services they provide

We have used K9 Hangout for doggy daycare and training on our dog Chief for about a year. When Chief first started the training classes over a year ago, he was all over the place with no direction at all. Over the course of a year with both training and interactions with other dogs at day care, Chief has become a totally different dog. He listens well and has been very trainable. Jon and the staff have been very attentive to Chief's needs and we are always happy to take him to K9 Hangout. I believe Chief has a great time while he is there because he gets to interact with other dogs with greater liberty than he would if he were at home. I have recommended K9 Hangout for training, boarding and daycare to several of my friends who have also brought their dogs to Jon. I highly recommend K9 Hangout and the staff if you are looking for a great place to take care of your dog.

John and his staff take a sincere interest in each and every dog. My husband and I have two rescue Great Danes who come with all the issues of abused and neglected dogs, but at 100+ lbs! Not easy dogs to deal with, but John and his staff welcome them with open arms. We found John after a recommendation from one of our dog park buddies and after having a less than satisfactory experience with other doggie day care places and have been loyal customers for a year +. Yes, he requires a bordatella vaccine more often than some vets, but this is common if you board/use doggie day care on a frequent basis. Our 10 month old goes 5 days a week, while our 8 year old goes 1 day a week and they both love it. I trust John and his staff unequivocally!

I first started taking my Spring Spaniel to John about 8 months ago primarily for training. Molly loved it so much, we ended up using K9 Hangout for daycare as well. John and his staff do an exceptional job. It's a smaller facility which I like - they know me and they know my dog well, which is very important! I also love the even though I'm no longer paying for a trainer, they still work with her when I take her in for daycare. It's a one stop shop for me and I've been very pleased...and so has Molly!

I purchased a Groupon and brought my dog here for the first time. They really loved my dog! He was very well taken care of at K9 Hangout. Perhaps it was my imagination but my dog came back more well manered than when i brought him. I casually mentioned that my dog jumps on people and I would love him to stop. Ever since i picked him up he has not jumped on anyone! I'm soooooo happy!

Excellent staff and excellent service! K9 is my only choice for boarding and daycare of my husky. The training services are top notch and I highly recommend them!

My dog, Baxter started training with John when he was a young puppy and has continued in daycare with K-9 Hangout ever since. Baxter will soon be 2 years old and he is a true pleasure to have in our home. He has won the hearts of our friends, who all comment on how well trained he is! I believe that John trained me as much or more than he trained Baxter. I learned to be consistent, especially with the words I use when giving commands, and I feel that has made a world of difference. An example of this is, when I was dropping Baxter off at daycare one morning, Baxter jumped on me and I said, "stay down", John, calmly said to me, "You just gave him two commands, neither of which you want him to do, the word is off". I never would have thought of that, but he was exactly right! I did not want him to stay and I did not want him in the down position, I wanted him OFF! As I have told that to all of my family members and friends when they too say "stay down" and really mean "off", Baxter has become extremely reliable with his behavior. Just this one example has resulted in a dog that is obedient because he knows what is expected of him. Daycare is another story....Baxter LOVES daycare. He begs to go every day and is a much happier dog on the days he goes. One day (not a daycare day), I took him to my work as a treat. When we arrived, he looked at me as if to say, "what are we doing here? I thought I was going to daycare." He was miserable and I had to have my husband pick him up early. He was well behaved, but extremely unhappy. When he gets in the car in the morning, he is expecting to go play with his friends at K-9 Hangout!!
