Lauderdale Dog Park

Closed because of covid19. Only dog park in the rain cities closed because of thus. Benches are demolished and not removed. When opened, people don't pay attention to their dogs and don't pick up after them.

Very, very small--about the size of an outdoor volleyball court. Not many dogs there either. The best part about the park is the seating.

This place is tiny, really only a good place for a dog to pee off-leash. The dog owners there didn't seem to care about the aggressive behavior of their dogs. They all seems like regulars and neighbors.

Its abt as generic as it gets. Bench, trash can and a fence. Back up poop bags container empty. Whomp whomp.

Super nice area. Though Some crazy guy came out from across the street to yell at me because my dog was barking. While yelling at me from across the street, he proceeded to take down my license plate and call the police. I didn’t see any signs that the area was private or dogs couldn’t bark. It was just easier for me to leave the situation. Very weird. So, I guess if you live in this area and get along with the crazy old man, 5 starts, if not, 1 star.

I wish it wasn't so muddy but overall not that bad if your dog needs the space to take his energy out.

It’s another poorly designed dog park. Dogs should not be able to see when another dog is about to enter the area. It can cause excitement and nervousness which can lead to a fight. Obstacles are so important because it breaks things up and helps for dogs to hide and break away from potential issues. Dog parks are not designed to bring your pet for exercise. If this is their only form of getting out for the day, trouble can come from this. All of the energy being let loose at a dog park can cause trouble. Good dogs can have issues with other dogs just as a troubled dog does. Please pay attention to your pet. Not a place to socialize. If you see signs that your dog is stressed, hair up, foaming at mouth, pulling you into the park due to so much energy and excitement, this can spell trouble. Doesn’t mean one has a bad dog. Also, please refrain from keeping a dog on leash while in a dog park. That causes fights due to dog feeling restricted or scared if a dog trips up in leash. Small dogs should never be placed with bigger dogs. A bigger bite can be devastating.

Huge size off-leash dog park, Lauderdale is the perfect place in north side for your pooch to play. The area is fenced-in with a separate area for small and shy dogs. Nice to see new setup for washrooms just neside entrance ( thanks for ATCO)

Wonderful little park. Stocked with water and balls to fetch. Nice people, never crowded.

simple but nice dog park in the nice city of lauderdale. area is fenced in with dirt and wood chips mostly, but some grass. they have balls and water bowls available, along with bags, a scooper, and trash receptacles. came on a quiet morning so not sure how busy it gets but plenty of space for a smaller dog park.

More of a dog run than dog park. No water fountain or features, just a decent amount of fenced in grass. Came during a really rainy day and the mud wasn’t too bad. We parked closer to the tennis courts and had to walk around to the other side. The entrance has its own parking lot. Only a port-a-potty but it was one of the better ones I’ve had to use. This is a non-shaded pretty basic dog park and it was empty when we got there but within a few minutes, several people showed up. This is a great place if you want something quiet for smaller dogs. It's very clean and they provide emergency dog bags and have a garbage can and plenty of water on site. It's nearby a beautiful park with a plate area and nice walking paths.

Love the Lauderdale dog park. I have a senior dog and it's enough for him. However a tree for shade and access to water would be an added benefit. Playground Newer playground that is very nice sized. Great fully fenced dog park. It is not very big but there is plenty of room for your dog to run. There are nice people and dogs at this dog park.

Reasonable space. One latte space with no trees. 3/4 grass, 1/4 wood chips. Nice for day that it's temperate. No rain, not basing sun or strong, cold wind. Good number of dogs. Most I've seen at one time is about 15 and there is plenty of space for them to run and/or sniff around.

Clean, local, gated park. Great neighborhood. I tend to go a bit later in the evening or super early in the morning, which works out great cause S.G.R. and I get the whole park to ourselves and we get plenty of exercise!

Dog park is fairly small and there have been numerous times I’ve been here when there is only one other dog… or none at all. It’s just not busy. If you don’t like close, it’s not worth the drive, as you might end up being there alone. But it is a nice space to let your dog run around a bit.

A very small park with a bench and no other amenities. Basically a large rectangle of grass with a tall fence. I work nearby and my dog comes with me to the office. This park is suitable for taking her there to run, chase a ball, and sniff around on my lunch break. If you're looking for a larger off leash park to walk around in, this is not it.

I love taking my dog here because there's usually quite a few other dogs and it's small enough that you can see your dog easily at all times. Always lots of water jugs and people are good about taking the empty ones and refilling them. The only downside is there is no shade inside the dog park so if it's a hot sunny day there's no where for the dogs to cool off.

My son really enjoyed playing here, it was clean and there was plenty of shade under the trees. Playground There is a toddler playground and one for older kids.
