Laurel Street Park

Lovely playground and entrance to walking trail. It has a sandbox, slides, jungle gym, and multiple swing sets. The street side and drainage side are fenced.

And at the back of the park is a trail to the Belhaven Mountain Bike Trails (for running, wandering, do walking, and exploring - well marked too).

The park is very clean. You can see that the Belhaven residents take pride in it. It has a covered picnic table area, which is nice. It also has some shade and nice benches.

I love the tranquility of this park. I got in touch with my inner kid again for sure. Great location beautifully maintained.

Large play area with swings, climbing and lots of charm. Big old trees provide shade and scenery. My kids loved this playground.

This is a great park. It’s a great place to see and interact with all kinds always of people (families, kids, college students, dogs) from the Belhaven neighborhood. Angleball on Saturdays is great fun.

This is such an awesome playground in Belhaven! Very different from most parks we’ve been to. There’s a lot of interesting sections to play at/on. Bonus points for the emergency phone in the center of the playground, the pavilion, and the take one, leave one library they have way in the back of the huge, grassy field. Check out the pictures because it is so hard for me to explain all of the fun to be had at this park.

Pretty nice, but a bit rundown. Also kinda sketch at times. Still worth a visit.

Very nice and clean and quiet. Picnic tables and many play equipment for kids. Has a open field for throwing balls.

We love the open field behind the playground. Chiko loves to run around here and always gets the zoomies! There are no restrooms, so limit your liquid intake and use one before you head out here.

It's a small park with a lot of grass space and a large play ground. I look forward to playing Angleball here every Saturday!! Another fabulous game today, with the young ones and the oldest one.

We stopped here on a long road trip and enjoyed it! There's a lot of things to do for kids and we also were able to have our picnic lunch at the tables in shade. My only critique was it could use more shade on the play areas. Most was in full sun and really hot and uncomfortable. But we still had fun! Great for toddlers.

Cute decent sized park in the belhaven neighborhood. Has children's playground with equipment, also has a nice covered picnic area. There is also a huge green space you could throw the ball or play with your dog. The park does border a stream so in summer time bring the Off you will need it. Neighborhood has events there during the week. Pet friendly.

Kids enjoyed. Grandson didn't want to leave. All he wanted to do was play in the sand. They need a walking trail.

As visitors to the area, we were extremely early to check in so we thought we’d try to find a park to hang out. This park was unkept and unmanicured. To top it off, the water fountain did not work. I can’t believe how this city is running itself into the ground. The streets had so many potholes, I had to see my chiropractor when I returned home. This is completely unacceptable and undesirable. Get rid of your current mayor!!!

Really cute park lots of shade lots of playground equipment designed for ages 5-12. Minus 1 star because It needs some mulch but it looks like someone is working on that as of 4-21-2022

A lovely neighborhood park that you only know of if you live in Belhaven. The play ground is good for you guys to children and made with a cute monster theme. Little kids love monsters. There is a pavilion with picnic tables that's great for picnics and family gatherings and parties. To book the pavilion, just tape a sign on one of the posts saying "Reserved for [insert date and time]". There's a large field for soccer or other team games. Parking available along the street. No bathrooms. Other than that, a great family-friendly park.

Use to be a massive play structure here way more stuff. Why remodel your park to be worse than it was before this is sad.
