In addition to the dog park there is also a childrens playground, and a lot of open space to play game as a family. The restroom and picnic area is also well maintained and covered to prevent snow or rain from ruining a party or family gathering.

Enclosure is secure, with double gates to allow space for leashing and unleashing dogs. There is plenty of space, and dog owners in Louisville seem to take decent care of their pets' poop here, if not on trails elsewhere around town. Seating is ample with some shade. Really a nice place, if it were not for the he swampy and unpleasant smelling pond.

Well maintained Dog Park with 3 separated sections all using packed dirt: large dog, small dog, and swimming pond (summer only). There is fresh running water, nearby bathrooms, a few trees,a covered bench, and compostable dog waste collection. The reclaimed water pond does grow quite a bit of algae when hot and no recent rain to circulate the water. Its in the middle of Louisville's main park providing parking and other park activities and community.

Best dog park for wet / muddy days - it drains well and has a crushed rock layer on top of the dirt. The pond is in a separate fenced area that likely does become quite muddy in the summer. People seem to be more sociable at the Lafayette and Erie dog parks. More owners on their phones or just standing isolated at Louisville in my (admittedly limited) experience so far. Playground is fairly close and getting there does not require crossing the parking lot, so it's good for those who have semi-independent kids who want to burn off energy while the dogs are playing.

This dog park is pretty fantastic. My dog loved the pond area. I wish they had more trees in this park but it's a really great place

β οΈπ«π¦ our dog got a severe infection after playing in the pond. It's waste water. Untreated. It's extremely dangerous, and the city has let it go. Other dog owners noted their dogs often get sick after swimming in it. Beware! I would hate to see someone else spend hundreds of dollars at the vet like us. β¦

A medium sized dog park next to a playground and a gazebo. The dog park has 2 enclosures for dogs and a gated off pond. There is also a faucet to provide dogs with water.

So much fun for dogs! I love that there is a pond if you want your dog to have the option. It is city waste water, and there are signs letting you know, so let your pups drink it at their own risk. Not CLEAN, but ok to paddle around in, and the rest of the park is quite big on the other side of the fence with a water spicket and some benches for the hoomans!

Great place to hang out with your dogs! Has a dog pool, decent area for fetching, and a smaller calmer area. All close to downtown. They have dog scoopers and dog bags. The only downside is that it's far from my place.

My dog loves the water. This gives her a safe place to socialize and get some swimming in.

Nice neighorhood dog park fairly close to home. I've only been in the early evenings and tonight was the most dogs we've ever seen - a half dozen. Fresh dog water available for dogs to drink in the largest of three areas. Another area filled with reclaimed water where dogs can swim. New little area looks like it may be for small dogs. Wish more guardians/owners would be responsible and pick-up after their dogs!

Love this park. Thereβs a smaller fenced area inside around a pond. My dogs love the water. Responsible owners, never had any issues here. One of the best off leash parks in the metro area. Also right next to a beautiful family park with covered picnic areas, bathrooms, kids play area and small splash pad for kiddos. Great place for the whole family, including your four-legged ones.

My dog and I have a great time playing at this dog park! It's nice to have an option for her to take a swim but since the pond is in a separate gated area, I can opt out of having a wet dog if we don't have time to dry off that day π. It's small enough to be able to keep an eye on her and have never experienced aggressive dogs there.

Nice to have two areas, one gravel and one one with the pond. Seemed clean and well taken care of. Not too too much shade but there is shaded seating.

Amazing park! Would love if they replenished the tennis balls more often, we love how many other dogs come here!

There's always a few people here with dogs, but it's never overwhelming, and it's a nice area to run around. Sadly, my dog doesn't like water -- he'll take heroic leaps to get over puddles or streams without getting wet -- but those dogs who do enjoy swimming in the large dog-friendly pond as well.

It's not terribly big, and it's all sand, but it's good for the dogs to socialize and run about. Playground None Restrooms None at the dog park, though you could use the sand like the dogs do. Just be sure to clean up after you're done Dog-friendliness It's a dog park, so I think dogs are allowed in Picnic area The dogs love to urinate on all the chairs, so if they're wet on a sunny day, I wouldn't use them.

Very nice open space, with water for your pup's to enjoy. Space to sit and also a spacious park. A good place for the whole family.
