Marcus Garvey Dog Run

This dog run has enough space for my hound mix to speed run laps for awhile. While there's not a fountain, there's a ramp/stair obstacle and 2 hoops for dogs to play with along with several benches for the people. It's an all around great place for energetic dogs in this city.

I went here yesterday 8/30 with my big poodle onyx. My other dog park temporarily closed so I went here. When I got there all the dogs were barking at my dog for no reason. And all of the dogs were following my dog onyx. And there was a big fight with the other dogs. And one of the dogs pooped and peed at my dog and it ran away. I will have to come here and repeat the same problem since my other dog park is temporarily closed.

It was actually a good experience for me, I used the outdoor workout stations that's nearby also(approximately 100-150 ft from the 🐕 park. & from what I've noticed, the "daily" Users and their pets love it. …

Great news park !

If you live in East Harlem or near 5th Ave/Madison..this dog park is big,safe and has various friendly dogs-from big to small..Very nice mix of people as well.. Benches and a big stairs that doggies can walk up and down on.If your dog is a little anti-social,you can go to the 2nd part of the park,next to it and have fun with your doggie there..I have 2 doggies..

Not the best place to take a small dog or risk getting bit by an aggressive dog. Owners rarely supervise or intervene if a fight occurs. This dog run is also split into two different parks separated by a 3 foot chain link fence.

The run has 2 sections for large and small dogs. Every time I’ve visited, the run has not been a good place for small/medium dogs. Some owners have monopolized the small section for their large and unsocialized/aggressive dogs to separate from the dogs in the main section and deny entry to actually small dogs. Terrible dog run etiquette.

The park itself is wonderful, But one dog kept Trying to hump my poor baby. She wasn't happy about that!!!

Amazing park, lovely people, no one is rude and everyone picks up after their dogs.
