This is a fairly standard dog park - separate sections for small and large dogs, grass, a few benches. But unlike country parks, there is running water so your dogs can always have something to drink. And in the warm months they put out kiddie pools for the dogs to play in. There tend to be less dog fights here than at Cabin John too.

We have taken our Bernese Mountain Dogs here for the past two years fairly regularly. What we really like is the community of dog owners. Everyone is really friendly and respectful with their dogs. We also like the walking trail, shelter, and benches available. However, we really wish that there was either more grass or mulch as there are patchy areas with just gravel. I also wish there were lights here for when it gets dark early in the winter time. Our dogs love the colder weather and that's when we want to go to the park more but you have to go before 7pm before it gets too dark. In the summer we still go and can enjoy later evenings but it is still pretty hot.

Separate sides for big and little dogs (under 25lbs), although the occasional interloper happens. My pup really likes that the park has a lot of natural grass and a few trees on both sides. Downsides to that: there are some holes from digging dogs and it can get very muddy in the winter and spring. Both sides have a paved walking path, which is handy for the human folk. There's no lighting available for after-dark visits which is very frustrating in the winter when dark hits early. There are a few large rocks dogs can jump onto in the big dog area. Otherwise, no special play structures. There are usually tennis balls in the park, so avoid bringing ball-aggressive pups. Sometimes there are kiddie pools for dogs to cool down in the summer. Open water taps for self-service water refills (bowls provided). Each side has a single picnic table under a pavilion and a couple of benches for sitting. Usually a good group of attentive owners there. It can get really busy during off-work hours. Free parking is available next to the dog park and across the road by the human-centered part of the park.

This park is utilized for 4th of July fireworks and concert. At least 20k people gather here to watch the band play and watch fireworks at 915 pm. People have good security and fire brigade stand ready along with volunteers and multiple police officers. People came with their family and friends toenjoy the night. Picnic area Large ground area with grass. Open ground.

Great little park to bring your dogs big or small. Ample room for running around and lots of friends to play with. It can get a bit muddy from time to time but it's not too bad. There's also a kiddy pool for the dogs to play in when the weather is hot and a water pump for drinking water.

Love this park for our dog- they have 2 fenced in areas, one for dogs under 25 lbs and one for dogs over 25 lbs. The area for bigger dogs is huge! There are grassy areas, some obstacle course-like structures, benches for humans to sit on, and a water spigot to drink from for the doggos. They also provide poop bags and trash cans. Great place to meet and mingle with other pups!

This dog park is such a wonderful place for both dogs and their owners! The park is clean, well-maintained, and has plenty of open space for dogs to run freely. There are shaded areas, benches, and water stations, which make it comfortable for people as well. The other dog owners are friendly and respectful, and my pup always has a great time playing and socializing here. It’s definitely one of the best dog-friendly spots in the area, and we’re so happy to have found it!

LOVE this dog park. All breeds and sizes are welcome here. There isnt a section for small dogs but there is a nice walking path of for the owners to stroll while your pup goes nuts. The people i encountered are very nice and control their animals here. There is a doggy water fountain, a bench/table under a small pavilion and waste bags/trash cans. Parking is free here and its part of a larger park with basketball courts and playgrounds etc. Highly recommend this park!

Great park for dogs to run and explore! Took Opie here today, and he had an amazing time playing and meeting new friends. The space is well-maintained, and the fenced area gives dogs plenty of room to roam safely. Definitely a great spot for dog owners in the area! It was also a perfect environment to reinforce off-leash recall and good social manners.

This place is very nice. My pup loves to go there all the time and we always meet great people and incredible pups. It's close to mostly everyone in the Rockville area so that's also a great thing about this park. My son loves this place very much.

Usually kept clean, sometimes there are dog owners who do not clean up after their dogs or stop them from misbehaving, but not frequently. Has two areas for small and big dogs. One of the closest dog parks to me, so its convenient and free to use. No playground-like features, but there is a gazebo and bench to sit.

Great park for your little pups! There is an area for small dogs an another for big dogs. I prefer it that way to avoid accidents.

Always wonderful! I appreciate the combination of grass, paved surfaces, a pavillion, trees that provide additional shade, a water spout, play structures, and more. We generally stick to the small dog side and I can almost always count on a similarly sized dog showing up if not already present. It is always considerably less muddy than Olney and Cabin John after rain. It has more shade options available than Dewey. Dewey has minimal grass on the large dog side and no real grass on the small dog side. This makes Dewey preferable after rain but not so much on the dog days of summer.

The small dog area gets muddy easily but it’s a good amount of space for a small dog. There is water and in the summer a kiddie pool. The people are very nice and friendly and understanding. The dogs are nice and pretty well behaved. I find that 4pm is very busy and mornings are not so I usually go twice because our dogs have different personalities (one likes lots of dogs and the other just wants to sniff around with no other dogs). It’s a good place to train your dog too. No light at night. I’ve never been to the big dog side but I’ve seen small dogs there.

Haven't been to many dog parks but among the few we visited I like this one the most. It is two parts under and over 25lbs. People are more considerate and they watch their dog most of the time. I personally haven't seen any aggressive pets in the park.

It’s a very nice dog park near home. They have a large and small space for dogs, which is nice . Only thing that I have seen some owners bringing aggressive dogs to the park - please , be mindful that it can hurt another dogs that I really socialized . Also, some people just don’t watch their dogs and even don’t cleanup after .

Lovely clean park with a small and large side. There’s plenty of parking. There are a few benches under the trees, so that will be good for those hot days. There’s also a water spigot that you can fill a dog bowl. There was one there. My dogs liked it. Dog-friendliness The dogs and owners were friendly. No issues there.
