Millrace Park

This has been my favorite park since I was a child. It has a big open field and a playground, as well as trails for walking your dogs. Everyone at the park is friendly and respects your space. The park is pretty clean and is free from any dog poop. My dog and I always enjoy the park no matter the time of day. Playground Multiple playgrounds are a walk away from the main playground by the pavilion.

The fishing pond is stocked with small fish and is easy to walk to, pay attention to signs for fishing and trespassing. Please don’t litter or vandalize the park or pond to help preserve nature and keep public places open and free to visit. If you would like to walk around in garbage, you may be able to schedule a tour of the local dump. If you cannot resist the urge to carve into the wood or spray paint, go find an art class or buy a panel of fencing from Home Depot and cherish your artwork forever in your own space. Remember, you trash community places or other peoples property, your disrespecting he rest of us, yourself as a person, your intelligence, and your family by presenting yourself as someone that wasn’t taught how to be a decent person or someone that does not have the intelligence to understand how to use a trash can or that we don’t draw n the walls. This is a great park for all ages and activities. There is a large grass field, a walking path, pavilions, playgrounds, and trash cans. There is also a dog park with activities for the furry family members, a walking path around the park, and covered benches for the humans to relax on. There is a water fountain for the pets and a double gated area to leash and unleash your pet. Playground Nice sized playground with a variety of equipment to play on. Dog-friendliness Be courteous of others and read the rules. Picnic area Covered pavilion with a large amount of picnic tables. Also plenty of grass to sit on and some trees for shade.

Millrace Park is a peaceful gem in Taylorsville—perfect for picnics, strolls, and watching ducks glide across the pond. The walking paths are clean and shaded, and the open grassy areas invite relaxation. Great spot for families or a quiet solo escape. Local charm at its best!

Beautiful place. So much scenery, ducks, Canadian geese, and fish. Quite peaceful!! Great dog park, pavilion, and playground!!

This is a great dog park. It's not as big as some others, but it still has plenty of space to run and play. Poop bags are provided (PLEASE pick up after your dog!) and a water fountain and bow for your thirsty pup. Dogs seemed to be better behaved here than at other parks.

Great place to take the kids to. A dog park, along with kids playground and some amenities such as benches, picnic areas, tennisncourts and more. The views are very nice as well.

I love this park, very close of the Wasatch mountains..Have a Pavillions, & a playground. All green around, with many trees 🌳, outstanding views, side walks to do jogg and hiking areas. The grass areas are beautiful & clean! Have many branches to seat & admire the nature... I saw dears & squirrels 👍💖 I highly recommend it. Playground Safe, clean! This is a huge and beautiful park next to the river with really nice walking trails, soccer field, kids play area, public bathrooms and a large dog park.

Very large we'll maintained park. Also has an enclosed dog park across the playground for kids. Also a nice picnic area with bathrooms nearby.
