North Springfield Dog Park

Interesting park. Decent sized, grass ground cover. No bags, except those that people have brought. No trash, so carry out. No water. Park is located up the hill and to the back of the playing fields. The fence has permanent poles, but the fencing attached is somewhat temporary.

Excited to have this new dog park. Fenced in, side for both small and big dogs. Some benches to sit. I am sure new features may be added in the future. Great to have something local!

The park is actually behind the North School, so pass the market and turn right onto School street. The parking lot will be on the right. Park and walk up the hill to the dog park.

It's great that Springfield has a dog park now! I'm sure they're still in the process of refining the set up and fencing but there's a small breed dog park and a large breed dog. You park in the old school parking lot and walk up a slight incline (like you're going to the playground equipment) and it's on the other side of the field. Bring your own water as there isn't any there at present and it wouldn't hurt to bring your own dog poo bags as they don't have a permanent set up for them yet.
